One night spent at the Wary Buffalo was comfortable and accommodating for 4 of us. It's just a short walk up the hill to get to town where there are an assortment of shops, bars, and restaurants. The breakfast that Candace made for us was incredible, and visitors should seek to stay at the Wary Buffalo for the food alone. An amazing experience overall. Thanks Mike and Candace! See you again in a few years!

What can I say? Mike and Candace are the bees knees! Our space was perfect and had anything we could possibly need. coffee in the room, fridge with waters, basket of snacks and teas, electric blanket, white noise machine. the grounds are quiet and rugged, which is a good thing. breakfast was to die for. she made us black bean huevos rancheros, cinnamon sugar donuts, 2 kinds of sausage, homemade granola, fruit, coffee, juice..I mean I was expecting 5 more ppl to help us eat!

Candace and Michael were great hosts. The breakfasts were delicious . Today we enjoyed Creme brûlée french toast, fresh fruit, sausage and homemade granola with yogurt. I highly recommend this B&B.

My father and I stayed with Candace and Michael (and their wonderful pets!) for one night, just after Christmas this year while exploring Arizona. Jerome (and the Wary Buffalo) were definitely highlights of our trip! From the moment we arrived Candace and Michael made us feel right at home, and their sweet and snuggly dogs and cat certainly helped as well :) They were kind enough to offer to meet us in town in case our little rental smart car couldn't make it to their place (the road is unpaved) but we made it there in one piece on our own! After settling in for a little bit, Michael drove us into town (free of charge!) so that we could experience dinner at Grapes and live music at The Spirit Room - my Dad isn't a big fan of driving at night, so it was awesome that Michael offered to drive us in (plus, it meant we could have some wine with dinner & not worry about navigating the winding and confusing roads of Jerome). The breakfast that Candace prepared for us in the morning was easily one of the best I've ever had. The spread was MASSIVE and it was way too much food for us to eat in one sitting, so Candace was even kind enough to pack up some left overs for us to take on the road! The view from their breakfast nook looks out over the entire Verde Valley...so beautiful! Candace also makes absolutely fabulous jewelry, so I was happy to purchase a necklace as a wonderful memento of our time in Jerome. Both Candace and Michael really went above and beyond as our hosts at the Wary Buffalo. They were so wonderful, accommodating and kind and we would absolutely recommend their B&B to anyone - it's not a traditional, doilies and classical music type b&b, but if you're open to a fun and interesting experience with hosts that obviously love what they do, love their town, and are super interesting, and you enjoy good food and great conversation, the Wary Buffalo is the place for you!
