Did not come to use the post office (although would have bought stamps had they been open), but worth it to see the historic PO boxes and postal paraphernalia if you're in Jerome!

I too like sending my post cards from the oddball location. This place, perched up on the edge of the mountain like everything else that is Jerome is a throw back. Sure it has been updated with some tacky lighting and such but those P.O. Boxes? Wow! They are beautiful. So I went in and got my stamp before I had written the card and the service I received was with a smile and she was very friendly. I tossed my card in the slot so instead of the hand stamp, I'm guessing it'll be the machine stamp. Fast forward a week and I'm back home. Since it was a card to my kid and grandkids I can sadly confirm that it was a machine stamp from Phoenix versus this amazing little post office nearly two hours from Phoenix (lost a star for that one). Either way, it is a very cool place to check out.

The post master is about as nasty as a person could be. Consistently rude for not apparent reason... If you have a chance I highly suggest you avoid this post office if you have to deal with anyone Inside the building...

I love sending my postcards from odd ball or very small town post offices so they can get the hand cancellation stamp from an unusual place. I went in to buy the postcard stamps and the postal lady's bad attitude was like 'what do you want'. I bought the stamps and came back about a half hour later. I asked her politely if I can get the 20 cards hand cancelled, she looked at me like I was asking her to jump on the Pony Express and to deliver them in person. Look lady you are at a tiny post office not some busy as hell post office like the one's in New York city. Please retire and have someone who wants to work take your place.

Great to have a post office in such a small town, post office boxes are from the time when the post office first opened. Combination locks, beautifully kept. Watch out however, if you want to mail something hours aren't abundant.

Talk about history and beauty in craftsmanship. They don't make things like they used to. This post office is worth stepping into for a quick blast to the past.

Went to open a mail box. Post Master very rude and condescending. She has no customer service skills. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. If I treated a customer in my work like that I would be written up. Not sure if she is just habitually rude or just too lazy to do her job
