Back in 1971 while on a family cross-country road trip we stayed in Kayenta AZ. After riding through Monument Valley and other beautiful locations we stopped and stayed at the Holiday Inn I think. Sunday we went to mass at yourChurch. My mother loved it there. We realized that the people were less fortunate but sweet, accommodating, and proud. In August, 1973 my mother, aged 46, passed away. One of our relatives, I think, gave to our family Priest vestments and Chalice to donate to wherever we pleased. My father, a young 47 at the time couldn’t think of where they should go. Our church certainly didn’t need them. I remembered your church and my fathers face lit up. Yes, that’s were these items will go. The were so sweet and I think they could really use them, he said. My dad is also gone now, but I hope at least the Chalice is still in good use.FREDERICK A. MONTEMARANO
