All of the 1 star reviews completely make sense. The manager Felicia is rude and does not give a crap about her customers. my family had a problem with billing and she did not even try to help, she just sat there blaming us even though we were told the account was on autopay. I asked why we never got a call about a payment and she basically shrugged it off and told us they call at day 6. It was day 8. When this was pointed out she said it was an automated system and gave us nothing else. Also said she would send over the autopay form so we could get it set up and never did. Didn't look at the account notes once to see why a payment went through the month before under an account of an employee we had never spoken to or why we were told we were on autopay if we weren't. As someone who worked in storage for 4 years as a general manager I was shocked but how little she cared. Didn't even try to put in effort. she should honestly be ashamed..
edit: 2 weeks ago this occured and we sent a message on the website to speak to someone..no answer as of today. I posted this a week ago and got a response that a DM would be reaching out to me.. no one has reached out. I saw reviews that this is common. We're going to go speak to the other employee at this facility but as of now I DEFINITELY recommend staying far away from this company. This is not how a storage company should run it seems no one cares about customer issues. This could have been a very easy fix..
Update: 4 months later and this never got resolved. This company is full of liars who truly do not care. We never got a dm call and I never had anyone email me. I also tried using the help email given to other reviewers and all emails got bounced back. Avoid this place like the plague

Terrible experience with them i was late a few days a few months ago and they locked me out i had to find some friends that would help me out with the rest of the money told me that if I didn't come up with it by that Friday they were going to sell my stuff well I moved out in March and didn't unpack the stuff because at the time I didn't need any of it well about a week ago my 12 year old nephew came over to help me unpack and put stuff away well when we started hanging up the clothes and emptying the boxes these little black bugs started falling off the stuff and crawling out of the boxes so I called them and very rudely told me i had no proofe they came from there and it's already been over a month so I'm sol i highly recommend that you don't rent a unit from them the staff are rude and the place looks clean but remember everyone looks can be deceiving i would rather put my stuff in a friend yard and risk it getting stolen than to ever rent from this place again

They do a good job about keeping pests out. But especially since Shield bought the facility, the prices have gone through the roof.

The manager would not let me rent the 5x9 utility trailer with ramp unless I was moving a motorcycle and had registration proving it was not stolen. He tried to change trailor to one that would not work for me. I am guessing for the reservation bonus. I worked for uhaul 5 years. Could go on and on will never rent there again, Stocton hill store was great!!

We had rented 2 units and used them for a little while we canceled one and we didn't charged any more that one. Than we cleaned the other one and since the office was closed and I did give them notice before hand I called them on that Sunday and left them a message plus I believe I sent them a email . I was still charged for another month without using it . Very upset we don't have the money waste like this

Worse place to get a storage unit. I rented a unit. Explained my situation to the kid working. He said it was no problem and I didn't need insurance. Went to go put our stuff in the storage unit. It wasn't the size I rented online. It was way smaller. Then he proceeded to tell me we have to have insurance. After he said we didn't. Charges me $179.00. I told him I wanted to cancel the unit. What's the point of having a unit if you can't use it. He refused to unlock the office so that I could cancel the unit. He kept swearing at my husband. All the while I never once disrespected that young man. My contract was paid through October 28th 2024. On Sept 13th shield storage hit me with a $102 charge. For what? I have no idea. I. Called them talked to a woman name Felicia who claimed she was a manager. Stated she didn't know why my bank account was charged. Said she'd refunded the payment. To which she never did. My bank said they tweaked my name a little so they charge my mom's bank account. They are refusing to return any of the payments they fraudulently made. I've tried getting this resolved. But on to the attorney general I go. I'm tired of these people and their bad business.

Since nobody has given me a call back or has been in the office every time I’ve made the trip over there (I am not local) and it seems the owner is active on here. I have had my unit for 9 months to which I have always paid on time and never had any issues until July when I got hit with suspicious charges on my account that ultimately lead me to finding out there was a lock put on my unit, my gate code was deactivated and I received a lien notice due to negligence at this business. The manager that I have spoken too about this matter on and off since the middle of July has yet to provide me answers, she has yet to return my calls regarding this matter and has been completely misleading during this time. This business is doing this to several people and there is no answer or explanation why consistent customers are getting locked out of their unit. Today I came to the office, and again there was a sign stating they would be back in 2 hours

It's a nice clean and safe Storage. Staff is pretty friendly. I do not like that the gate codes have not worked the entire month I've had it tho. I have Very limited time to access it not only because of the hours but I don't have a vehicle. And for 2 hours of every day they have meetings in the afternoon which cuts my access even more due to not having a gate code. The special price for the first 2 months is great tho. Overall decent experience, even better if they fix the gate?

Units are clean, prices are fair, staff is friendly. Key pad isn't working on the Arizona st gate, but Keegan is right there to let you in and out with just a phone call.
