My great-grandson and I adopted a female dog there. She's lovely. Well, taken care of the staff is very professional and veterans. It may be small, but it's well worth going there to adopt a pet

If you think this place is good, come down 12 am to 5am then you can see how abusive they are. The dogs are barking like they are being hurt this goes on all night long. There are 3 to 5 people in the middle of the night in there, why? Neighbors see this and hear it all over the neighborhood. 2 homes have gone up for sale on the block center st. It's so hard to listen to night after night. The dogs are fine, no crying and whimpering and barking when those people aren't there. The people are rude and don't like answering questions.

So, I don’t normally like giving onions to anyone BUT I have never been treated so awful and I can’t believe this place is a non-profit organization! So if you donate here - beware! Mutt Matchers was so incredibly rude and unprofessional regarding a very sensitive matter. My dad is elderly (84) and blind. When his guide dog died, he went to get a dog just for a companion. But this dog is not a good match as the dog jumps on him and has knocked him down a few times, scratched his arms causing him to bleed, has eaten his food before he can sit down to eat it, runs out the door anytime he tries to exit or enter the house and he can’t see to prevent any of this. When I called Mutt Matchers to see if they could help take the dog and maybe we could find a better match the lady began to literally yell at me and shame me for wanting to find a better match. She made a comment that you can’t treat an animal like a “dirty diaper”. I am a HUGE animal lover and I get wanting to give animals forever homes BUT I want my dad to be safe even more. When I have tried to call back to Mutt Matchers after they hung up on me they won’t even answer. This is hard for us and my dad. This lady was so incredibly disrespectful and rude I would never donate here! And I have in the past! So frustrated!!

I really have given thought about putting this on yelp. My stepdaughter and granddaughter found Mutt Matchers and called to see if they happen to have any small dogs which they did. we went and looked at said dogs and my husband and I fell in love with a dog named Tequila. She wasn't ready for adoption but we could put our name on a list! As of the day they called and told us we could feel out the adoption from for her she would be ready to pick up in a few day. We had the home inspection, not much was said. A few days after the home inspection I receive a called telling me they were giving her to someone else, I was given two different reasons from two different people. Our hearts were broke. they take very good care of their animals but not the people that want to adopt and provide a loving home.

I'm one of the volunteers here I been volunteering for a few months and about a year know and this place is awesome if you want a new family member we take good care of the dogs feed them fresh water and clean there kennel and I kind of get why a few people gave this place a low rating but they mostly declined your application cause you didn't pass a check if it was a yard check just make sure to add/fix your fence or clean your yard or maybe the meet and great didn't go well like yes they want good homes but they don't want a chance of the dog escaping or being returned and yes this is a no kill shelter but I hope this comment helped

We adopted Sissy from here and had a great experience. The process here is going to be longer than most shelters but it’s worth it. They make sure the dogs are going to a good home. So far she’s adjusting to her new home well!

we just adopted Nickle on Friday June17th. The staff was great! so nice and informative. Nickle is a sweety. He loves to cuddle, especially with my husband Jim. If Jim gets up, Nickle follows. When he goes out side, he runs around the whole yard and fast! We look forward to many happy years with Nickle.
