Worst experience I've ever had!!! The level of unprofessionalism and inability to do their job was astounding. The whole thing from start to finish was botched and when I went in to address it, I was told "we don't do that" and to "calm down" even though I being charged and have bank statements proving as much. I had to go in the following day as well to talk to the general manager who assured me it will be fixed; I'm not hopeful. My next step will be to take this to corporate. My advice if you are looking for a U-Haul in kingman would be to drive to bullhead or Havasu and save yourself the misfortune of having to deal with this store!! I would have given 0 stars if it was an option

I reserved a truck for a 8am Thursday pickup. Arriving at 7:55 I was told it wouldn't be available until the following Tuesday - 5 days later! The agent apologized and mentioned it wasn't returned when it was schedule. She also said there was another reservation for the next day. Apparently a reservation means nothing and first-come=first-served also means nothing since the truck wasn't released to me the following day. I asked for the agency to call me when a truck becomes available. The call never came so I called and was told the truck had been returned. I made a second trip to the location just to be told it wasn't available. I called Jennifer West, the location manager the next morning. After introducing myself she said she couldn't hear me and the phone was breaking up. I raised my voice hoping that would help and she abruptly hung up. Hoping she would be professional and call me back I waited. I eventually called but the phone went into a series of menu items. After several calls (same phone - no complaints) I was able to reach a AZ customer service agent who also was unable to get Jennifer to answer. I was connect to Marcy the Regional Manager. When I told Marcy I was hung up on, she said that was unacceptable. Her attempts to get Jennifer on the line were unsuccessful. Speaking with 5 agents over 2 days I was given conflicting information, various excuses, and outright lies. I'm writing this 4 days after I RESERVED the truck - still no U-Haul truck. I no longer need U-Haul's services. Don't bother making a reservation - it means zero. My advice would be to get Marcy on speed dial should you wish to deal with U-Haul in Kingman.

I rented an Auto Transport trailer from this U-Haul location and I must say, everything went perfectly, and the staff was wonderful! When I arrived, I didn't have to wait long to speak with an agent inside, and they ran me through the rental agreement, took my payment deposit, and directed me to the area where I would pick up the trailer. The gal helping to hook up the trailer to my SUV was wonderful. She jacked up the trailer, connected it to my vehicle's lights and turn signals, tested the brake lights and turn signals on the trailer, and get me on the road. When I came to drop off the trailer, I arrived about 45 minutes before the location opened, however, to my surprise, there was a friendly U-Haul employee who had arrived early to open up for the day, and they happily checked me in for my equipment return, even though they didn't have to because they hadn't opened yet. That saved me quite a bit of time doing a self-return online. The staff here are really wonderful and the service is great, so I will definitely be coming back here to rent trailers in the future.

I rented a uhaul and was in and out of the office, with keys, within 10 minutes. The woman working was extremely busy opening the store but had a great attitude and didn't stop smiling. The men who clean the trucks and inspect them were also pleasant and had us out of there within 5 minutes when returning the uhaul. It was a flawless transaction. Will try to rent all uhauls from this location in the future. Thank you for making it so easy on a very stressful day.

So much to say here! 1st, the people were sociable. Thumbs up to them. No complaints there. Now, on to the rest: I needed a truck & tow dolly to haul a van in from @ 200 miles away; 400 miles round trip. I reserved a PU truck ($.59/mi.) & dolly from U-Haul & tooled on down to this location to get it. But when I got there, I was told by the desk that U-Haul wouldn't rent me that combo. But they WOULD rent me a box truck the same size for only 80 cents per mile. (OH JOY! $.80/ per mile, 400 miles. Do the math. While you're at it, do a "bait-and-switch" also). So I rented a 16 ft. box truck from a Kingman Penske for $21/ day & 21 cents per mile, potentially saving myself $236 on mileage charges (Penske had no dollies available) less the $21 rental fee plus insurance. I took the Penske truck to the U-Haul dealer to rent the dolly and they flat out refused to hook the U-Haul dolly to "A competitor's truck" . (Think about this, U-Haul. While I am in legal custody of that truck, it is not "A competitor's truck". It is MY truck just as if it was a leased automobile. I am the legitimate operator paying the bills & insurance) So I rented the truck MANDATED by U-Haul (Remember that old axiom of successful businesses, "the customer's always wrong") and dolly from U-Haul and drove it down the street about a mile to Walmart and dumped the U-Haul truck, hooked the dolly up to the Penske truck, and did what I had to do. The total cost to rent a $45 dolly & truck from U-Haul for a day was $99 for a tow to nowhere (@ 1 mile to walmart & back). The total cost for the Penske truck for the whole 400 mile turn around was $185 for EVERYTHING but fuel, meaning renting BOTH trucks and a dolly and insurance for both rentals cost me less that renting the truck w/dolly from U-Haul and paying their mileage charge would have cost me. Total cost for everything was @ $270 from both companies. If I had used just U-Haul, it would have been about $420. By not doing things the U-Haul way, I I saved $170. By not doing things my way, they made about $95 but lost $240 in mileage fees they otherwise would have made! That's GREAT business practice. Seriously, U-Haul, you just burned down a customer. Additionally, I write. So when this info gets disseminated across Yelp (et al), you will have just burned down numerous potential other customers as well. Time to change your game, U-Haul. I will not use U-Haul again. I would not suggest that anybody else use U-Haul either if there are any other options. Shop around. U-Haul's cheerful, polite people will screw you absolutely to death. But they WILL do so politely!

The very best experience renting a U-haul ever. They are the most professional staff I encountered in a long time. They really made our experience pleasant. I highly recommend them for your moving needs.

This U-Haul location has excellent customer service and a beautiful, clean and well managed facility. I rented two climate controlled storage units and a truck from them, and my experiences were excellent. Owner James and staff members Breanna and Cameron were outstanding in their handling of my repeated visits during my logistically challenging move. I am grateful for their help during a tough time and for their willingness to go the extra mile to make my experience as smooth as possible. Overall I give this place a 20+ rating on a 1-10 scale!!!!

My husband reserved an auto transport 3 days ago. We drove in from California (4.5 hours) with a guaranteed reservation, to pick it up and we're told "the one we have today is not in service" Do you think anyone picked up a phone to tell us this...NO. The owner was an Asshole about it and did nothing to try to help us out.

Once again My mom can't reach these people to tell them our bill is paid but we are locked out. We have more than one occasion that were we have had to pay late fee's because they can't seem to figure out that there are two cards on file and if one card fails to run the other as requested. At this point I have paid help here to move stuff and I am out money again because they can't bother to answer there own phone or return calls in timely manor. They are stain on the Uhaul name and at this point we will be booking our next move with budget, hertz, or penske as I refuse to give these people any more money than I have to. Note they own both Uhaul storage facilities here in town so don't think you'll get better service at the other one. These are also the people who told me I had to bring my truck them which is lie as long as you return it any facility its fine. Don't let them try to fool you into believing that crap.

The Staff at the Stockton Hill Rd. U-Haul is "GREAT", very friendly and willing to help! Jason Millin a great asset to this place (not sure how long he's been the Manager). He helped me get my two storages, walked me to the storage to help me decide if they were big enough... the two others I've worked with (in picture), very friendly as well... helped me rent a Van. Overall, the facility is clean, nice and well maintained Equipment, Trucks, Vans... clean office space, and kept very cool (considering it's Arizona, it's needed and appreciated). Anyway... if you're ever in Kingman and need anything U-Haul related, this definitely is the place to go!! Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service! Our customer service rep gave us a bit of a discount when we ordered our U-Haul trailer, simply because she wanted to be fair. When we purchased a storage unit, we got the first month free as a thanks for being customers. Everyone is always friendly and willing to work with your situation! Definitely use this place when you're moving.

We were moving, I had gone ahead and my wife need a hitch some how the installed a hitch for a few hungered dollars and my goy a little platform to put some last minute luggage, they assembled the platform for free - this company demonstrated the apex of customer service and integrity, my wife offered a tip and the gentleman doing the work declined stating it was against company policy. You would be a fool not to use this company

A newer Uhaul rental place in Kingman. I work in customer service so I was disappointed that the new hire that was trying to help me with my needs was being trained by a girl that could care less about either of us. I watched her struggle painfully through the transaction and answer questions with zero confidence that she was giving me the right information (she wasn't, to my expense later). Shame really. Hopefully 'little miss could care less' will move on to a job more suitable, like the DMV, sooner rather than later.
