“We don’t shop at Goodwill. We hunt. And the Goodwill next to Verrado? That’s our cheapskate Shangri-La. Nestled beside an upper-class neighborhood where folks donate last season’s designer goods like they’re shedding emotional baggage, this place is a goldmine of gently-used glory.
We roll in like budget archaeologists, armed with caffeine and dreams. Two to three hours minimum. That’s not shopping—that’s a rummaging expedition. We’ve got strategies. We’ve got elbow grease. We’ve got Dad, who treats the shirt rack like a sacred scroll of pre-softened cotton wisdom.
School clothes for the kids? Check. Stylish enough to pass the hallway fashion test, durable enough to survive recess. Dad’s shirts? “Broken in” is an understatement. These shirts have lived. They’ve seen boardrooms, brunches, and probably one awkward HOA meeting. Now they’re part of our legacy.

“Hope's Closet offers a great selection of affordable, gently used clothes and household items, but the store could definitely use better organization. Items are a bit scattered, making it harder to browse efficiently. However, if you're willing to take the time to dig through the racks and shelves, you can find some real hidden gems. The staff is friendly and helpful, which makes up for the clutter. Overall, it's a good place for budget shopping, just be prepared for a bit of a hunt!”
“Lots of nice stuff that was reasonably priced. Very friendly/helpful staff. My only complaint is that when loading heavy items they can be a bit rough with your new purchase. large variety of clothes, housewares, furniture and a few tools.”
“Very reasonable. The cashier was very nice and gave me a tire pressure gauge because I wasn't sure of the price so he threw it in with my purchase. Sometimes they have an item in abundance,i.e..flooring. other visits it might be swamp coolers.”

“This was my first time going to this thrift shop and I had such an awesome experience. They had such a cute little shop. Everything was decorated so nice and adorable. I loved how they turned what looked like what once was a restroom into a mirror room with records in the flooring. And mirrors on every inch of the walls. Everything was at reasonable prices as well. I thought I would never leave. But I did with a cart load of items for only $40.”

It's cleaner and the employees are superb.
What a difference, I'm so glad I came back. I dislike Goodwills as they're expensive and most time smelly and nothing but junk. I leave empty handed.
I'd usually keep this place a secret but it's just too good of one and sadly I'm heading to my home state in about a week.

“My favorite store, out of all the thrift stores in Arizona. The shelves are always packed, but today was the exception, they were over flowing with fabulous items. Fall and Halloween are out, and it is June. I'm a reseller and having the holiday items out early really helps me. But what really makes this store is the happy, smiling, super friendly manager Donte! He is so willing to help his customers and employees. Everyone shopping today had their carts filled to the top, and so happy with their finds. Thank you Goodwill it was a fantastic day! ?”

“I went to donate a few things. I was in and out in a jiff! The parking lot is easy to navigate, it wasn't a big drive, and they had no line at the drive up window. I parked, popped open my trunk, and they promptly grabbed my donations! It's also convenient to a grocery store and some restaurants.”

“This store is always clean and clear of clutter. The aisles are wide enough for two shopping carts to go through. Prices are fair compare to other Goodwill Stores. There is plenty of parking. The only issue is that there is only one cashier and when the line is too long it takes awhile for another cashier to arrive. Restrooms are always clean and available. Remember to always use your 20% coupon for a better discount on your purchases.”

“It's been a few years since I haven't visited this Savers or any other Savers store, and have seen better improvement. The store is no longer that messy and disorganized. The aisles are more wider, so that two people can walk through with thier shopping carts at the same time. Items being sold are more complete and much cleaner. The one thing I noticed is the expensive price tags. Items should not be that pricey for being a secondhand store, but you can still pickup some nice bargains.”

Helped me and my wife then find a cd/ tape player radio and then searched for a cord that would work. Took the time to think about us from the perspective of an elderly person and found a nearly new and easy to use product in both. Such a kind & caring young man. A real asset to this store. Which is a welcomed change as we have had negative experiences with an unhelpful employee in that department in the past as well as the ubiquitous and often spoke of overpriced items.”

“I found a $400 item for $15 and several $100 items for $10 or less. Meanwhile someone in line to pay for their items was "asked to leave the store" because their friend had just shoplifted something. It's always a different and entertaining experience. Whether it's a sudden crowding around the electronics testing station, everyone in line with their item in hand. The waiting, watching in as the person ahead fries a lamp or cheers and smiles when a boom box bumps bass back to life again. The anticipation, intensity you could cut with a knife. Goodwill.
