“I am disappointed with the attitude and professionalism displayed by some of the employees during my visit. Rather than being polite and respectful, I felt like I was addressed with an unwelcoming attitude. Customer service should make guests feel valued, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope management will address this issue by providing additional customer service training and reinforcing the importance of treating every customer with courtesy, patience, and respect. A positive attitude from employees can make a significant difference in the overall customer experience”

“I’ve been shopping at Sun City Thrift Shop for the past couple of years and always find the best hidden gems for myself, my husband, and family & friends. The shop is spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming, and has such fun decor. Every visit is such a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I stopped in on my way home Friday, and while checking out, the owner noticed my teacher shirt. As an elementary educator for the past 8 years, the thoughtful act of kindness they showed me truly made my whole day. I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful place and can’t wait to stop back in soon!”

“Wonderful Thrift Store With a Beautiful Mission. :) I stopped by Hope’s Closet in Goodyear for the first time and absolutely loved the entire experience. This thrift store is run by New Life Center, and all proceeds go directly toward supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence — which makes shopping here feel meaningful and impactful. I love the heart behind their mission, and you can genuinely feel the purpose the moment you walk in. The store is very clean, well organized, and surprisingly well stocked with everything from women’s, men’s, and kids’ clothing to shoes, accessories, home décor, small furniture, books, toys, and household items. Honestly, their selection is better than many big-name thrift chains, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly. I had a lovely checkout experience with Ms.Theresa, who was so warm, helpful, and in full holiday spirit — it made my visit even better. Everyone here treats you with kindness, and the environment feels welcoming and peaceful. It’s located conveniently next to Palm Valley Church with plenty of parking, too. Overall, this is a beautiful store with an even more beautiful purpose. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Hope’s Closet to anyone looking for affordable finds while supporting an amazing cause.”

“I visit this place at least once a month, one of my all time favorite spots to thrift. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I also only donate my stuff here, a much better alternative to Goodwill whose greed prices things so high that they are no longer an affordable place to shop. Salvation Army is far superior.”

“Very clean and well organized store. Prices are really good and they offer discounts and sale days on top of these already low prices making some items as low as $0.99. Clothes are good quality nothing stained or torn. I could see why some might say the customer service isn't all that great because the staff isn't overly friendly. The clerk was professional when she assisted me with entry into a fitting room but she didn't smile nor did she seem pleased to help me however it was my check out experience with this same clerk that earned them the 5 stars. When I went to the counter to get the items I wanted I realized my paycheck hadn't been direct deposited yet so I was really low on money. I apologized and excused myself from the line to go put back almost everything I had intended to buy. I kept 2 bras because I only had the one bra I was currently wearing which was too small for me but it was all I had ever since someone stole all of my things (and yes they took it all even my underwear) while I was experiencing homelessness. I thought I had enough money for them both but when she told me the total I realized I was a little more then $1 short. I apologized to her again and explained I didn't quite have enough money and asked if she could remove the higher priced bra. She asked me how much I had and after I told her what I was able to pay she then put in a discount bringing my total down to about $0.03 cents less then what I had told her I had available. I thanked her quietly while trying to hold back my tears of gratitude because she had no idea just how desolate I'd become over the last several months. I was literally ready to give up because of all the horrible things I had suffered through in such a short amount of time. I literally felt like I had nothing left to offer or give anyone and there wasn't any reason for me to be here anymore but her one simple act of sympathy and unspoken kindness provided me with more then something as basic and simple as clean bras it gave me hope and the strength to just hold on a little longer. I'm still suffering with homelessness and I'm still having a hard time finding a good/steady job but I'm fighting everyday to change my situation and get my family back into a home where we are all safe and warm and it's partly in thanks to someone who just gave me the chance to buy a clean bra. I didn't get her name but the good Lord above knows who she is and I silently thank her each time I wash one bra while wearing the other clean one. You have no idea just how much clean clothes that fit you will help to lift your spirits until you don't have these things. We take so much for granted but after experiencing this hardship my family and I don't take the simple things for granted anymore. Thank God for places like this. I pray the donations continue to come in so this place can continue to help those in need like myself. God bless everyone. Stay safe”

“My favorite store, out of all the thrift stores in Arizona. The shelves are always packed, but today was the exception, they were over flowing with fabulous items. Fall and Halloween are out, and it is June. I'm a reseller and having the holiday items out early really helps me. But what really makes this store is the happy, smiling, super friendly manager Donte! He is so willing to help his customers and employees. Everyone shopping today had their carts filled to the top, and so happy with their finds. Thank you Goodwill it was a fantastic day! ?”

“I had a great experience at Goodwill! I needed something last minute and was honestly surprised that I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. They have a huge variety of clothing, and everything was well stocked and organized, which made it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed. “This is a great little thrift store tucked in a strip mall. On Mondays they have 50% off everything and Tuesdays there is a discount for seniors. I love how smooth the checkout process is here, they have 6 self check stations. Even on Mondays when the line is pretty long, it goes pretty quick!”

“I’m not someone who likes to leave a negative review based on just one experience. I’ve visited several Goodwill locations and given them many chances, and unfortunately, I honestly feel that Goodwill has become far too expensive for a thrift store. My family also donates items several times a year, so it's disappointing to see donated items sometimes priced close to or even the same as the price of buying them brand new elsewhere. I have personally left Goodwill and gone to Walmart, DD's, Burlington, or Family Dollar and purchased the exact item new for the same price or sometimes even less. Even if a new item costs a couple of dollars more, I would rather pay that and know it is brand new. Goodwill should remember what makes a thrift store valuable: giving people affordable options while moving donated items at reasonable prices. The prices on many items, including clothing and household goods, have simply become too high. I will say, however, that the Goodwill on Cactus is much better. Their prices seem more reasonable, they have a great selection, including many new items, and there always seem to be plenty of shoppers there which is probably no coincidence! My advice is to compare prices before buying. Check Walmart, DD's, Burlington, or other discount stores first. If you find a great deal at Goodwill, that's wonderful but don't assume that buying secondhand automatically means you're saving money. Goodwill sells their services to help provide jobs. You pay for it in the things they sell, thats why their prices are ridiculously high.”

I used to love coming here for bargains but whoever is pricing the donated heavily used items are over pricing and refuse to negotiate a reasonable fair lower price for donated items. Come on stop ripping us off customers with pricing used donations at new price levels and then ask for money donations to top it off. GREEDY MONOPOLY CHAIN WHO BEGS FOR DONATION OF CASH”
