Honestly, I turned to CVS after another local pharmacy routinely had a 15 minute wait time to be helped. From the beginning, the CVS in Maricopa, AZ always had a warm hospitable feel to it. Because our town is small, a lot of businesses close 30 minutes for lunch. CVS has aways offered to have you ready to go BEFORE they close for lunch. The previous local pharmacy would tell you to hang out in the store for that time period.
Under the circumstances that began my relationship with CVS, I noticed the difference in their store atmosphere and presentation to the public. As I worked with two associates during this visit at the Maricopa location, I overheard greetings & conversations with other customers taking place by both of the employees assisting me. Those customers were greeted by name and known by more than one store employee. Quite a positive change than what I was used to at the other local pharmacy I left. I can foresee having this pharmacy as my main go to for scripts that can't be forwarded through my insurance home delivery.

You can’t call in to speak with the pharmacy anymore. The automated system forces you to leave a message and states that someone will call you back, but they don’t. The only way to speak with the pharmacy is to physically go in to the store now.

Store and pharmacy staff are very helpful and friendly, inspite of being the busiest store in Maricopa City. Amazing how your prescriptions are available for pickup so fast after being prescribed by your doctor. Excellent service at CVS Smith-Enke.

This has been our pharmacy for the last 7 years. I have always been treated with respect, professionalism, and kindness. Working in a pharmacy is not easy, and these guys handle it well.

This ONE star review is for the pharmacist & pharmacy tech who attended me on Tuesday evening February 13th 2024. I know you guys are understaffed and overworked. However there’s no excuse for the rude attitude towards me & everyone else who was in line & was attended this day. I was told by this individual that my insurance didn’t cover my prescription, She didn’t even bother to double check she just completely ignored my concerns. So I paid in full for the prescription. My insurance told me that everything should have been covered. This isn’t my job so I suggested whoever is in charge should start making changes. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this way.

This location is very convenient. It always has what I am looking for and everybody is so friendly. People need to be patient. I would highly recommend this location to anybody.

I used to go to CVS out in Mesa, never had issues. They were 24/7 and always polite and friendly. I moved to Maricopa and have never experienced some rude, distasteful people working here. The sad thing is they genuinely do NOT care about you or your situation, and they will flat out tell you that.I refuse to deal with them and will switch to either Fry's or Walgreens if able! Do not go to CVS in Maricopa unless you enjoy being talked down to. I get they have a hard job, most people do. I have to deal with parents all year and they usually don't call you when they're happy, but as professionals we are to remain calm and collected. If you're in customer service, that IS the expectation! People need medication because they are sick! They may not always be in the best mood because they feel like well or are just dependent on their medications. Try to emphasize and be up front but with understanding and respect. If there is something you can do to assist, do it! People rely on their medications!

CVS Pharmacy takes lunch from 1:30 to 2:00 M-F. On Tuesday, 9/19/23 I arrived in the drive thru at 1:25. There was a vehicle ahead of me picking up, however, this vehicle was at the pickup window until 1:32 PM. Once he pulled out, I pulled up. The drive thru was closed for lunch. Now I know that the person working this window knew that I was there. Any place else will finish with those in line prior to taking lunch, closing, etc. So, I sat there until their lunch was over and picked up my prescriptions. I waited since I am a disable 64 yr. old man that is on a very small monthly income. And I therefore am unable to afford the gas to go, and return to CVS after 2:00 PM. When I spoke with the Pharmacy Manager this did not seem to at all bother him. No apology, nothing!

They didn't have my Rx in stock, they were very insistant that I go to another cvs up in the valley instead of transferring the rx. I drove up the street to Frys and have it transferred there. Frys was on hold with that CVS pharmacy for an hour to request the transfer. They said this CVS does this to them all the time. I actually had to call the main phone line and tell them to have the pharmacy answer the phone. People's health is at stake because all they care about is sales. Shameful.

I only used this location because they have a prescription drug drop box. The drop box is located near the pharmacy walk up counter in the rear of the store. Otherwise, It seemed like every other CVS I’ve been in.
