A friend answered when I posted the question to social media about who I could trust to repair my vehicle. Without hesitation, It was suggested that I take my automobile to Christian Brothers Automotive on South Power Road. I had not heard of the shop before but proceeded to call for an appointment.A service tech answered my call, and I explained the symptoms I was having with my car. I half expected to be told that I needed to bring the vehicle in to have it looked at regardless of how I described the problems I was having. Much to my surprise, Troy listened to me describe my symptoms. He asked follow-up questions and outlined possible reasons for my trouble. By the end of the call, I was informed that based on my reporting, he recommended I have a complete diagnostic covering the possible areas contributing to my issues. He gave me a price for the diagnostic and indicated that the cost to have my car diagnosed was non-refundable and would not go toward the cost of my repairs. His candor was refreshing.Speaking with Troy is the first time I have ever experienced discussing my car issues with a service rep without feeling like I was being upsold into nonessential repairs. I sensed a genuine concern from Troy as he explained the next steps in such a way I could understand. Furthermore, after he completed the diagnostic and sent me the report, there was no question that what he recommended for repairs was precisely what I needed. The report included a detailed explanation of every part that needed repairing along with pictures from my vehicle showing the damage or wear that required attention.Admittedly, I have never agreed in any of my past dealings with auto shops to have repairs performed on my car, which exceeded the value of the vehicle itself. However, after speaking with Troy and trusting his opinion, I had no second thoughts about green-lighting the repairs.I picked up my car when they were finished. I was pleasantly surprised to experience that all the issues Troy addressed made the vehicle perform precisely as he had described. There were no hidden costs, and delivery was on time as scheduled.I will continue to bring all of my vehicles to Christian Brothers Automotive for service. I recommend them to my friends and family. The professional interaction I experienced with everyone I spoke to at Christian Brothers was welcome and refreshing.I had a great experience with the major repairs I entrusted to Troy and Christian Brothers Automotive. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of automobile service. - Gary E Hilton, Customer.

Really quick repairs. I came in for a windshield washer fluid leak, they suggested new rear shocks because they were leaking too. Some people might find this shady but I'd rather know what issues my car has. I had them fix both leaks. I thought it would take them a while because their parking lot is jam packed full of cars but they repaired it so quickly. I'd recommend them.Services: Auto water leak repair

So i own a lifted 1995 truck which is my daily and i installed the leveling keys so it needed realigned i took it to a Big O’ Tires near me and they were the laziest people i’ve ever seen, no communication on what actually needed to be done to do the proper alignment, so i then took it here and after the first day they communicated everything with me that needed to happen for them to get a good proper alignment for my truck. Needless to say if you’re considering bringing your vehicle here I would highly recommend it.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Not only did Matt deliver a very high level of customer service but while I was waiting for my car to be serviced, I walked about half a mile to a coffee shop and realized I forgot something very important in my car.The owner of this Christian brothers personality drove it over to me. Very impressed and I will continue to get all of my vehicles serviced here.

While their prices are similar to other mechanics, they are competitive. What separates CB from the rest is customer service & care. They do put the customer before making money. I cancelled my inspection before they looked at my car & instead of charging me they simple took the car off the queue, & put my keys hidden my car. (I wasn’t able to pick up b4 they closed) Everytime I get my car looked at, the service is usually done within 1-3days & The Communication with the customer is always transparent. They always keep the customer in the loop of what’s going on. The customer communication & care is what always brings me back to CB compared to other mechanics.

I recently had some work done on my Corvette including adding some aftermarket parts. Most other shops wouldn't touch it because they were not their parts. Christian Brothers did the work in one day and I'm very happy with the results. They do seem to be a bit on the pricey side, but I guess you get what you pay for. Thanks for the good work and your professionalism!Service: Exhaust

As an accomplished and respected automotive professional, I'd like to share my mostly great experience with Christian Brothers Automotive/Mesa Gateway.I was greeted kindly by the staff and the shop/office/waiting rooms were clean and professional and I felt good about visiting the establishment to have a wheel alignment done. They do charge top-dollar for a four wheel alignment and I expected top-notch results but, as these things sometimes go, we had a little trouble over a steering wheel that wasn't centered after the alignment was completed and while there were no actual harsh words, there was some frustration in the process of resolving the issue.I gave five stars because of the kind professionalism of management as well as the knowledgeable and professional technician who worked on my vehicle even if we had an issue at the time. With tempers being a bit stressed at the time of service, I thought I would share this tip with the technician I respect and to whom I'm grateful to for his time and professionalism, here on neutral ground in the form of a 5 star review that I hope he'll get a chance to see.Getting a centered steering wheel 99.9 of the time regardless, (within reason) of varying thrust angles:Do not use/rely on the toe app on the machine. Though it has it's purpose, because of the nature of the machine, it can't offer the speed or accuracy of the method I'm about to share. To start: center the steering with the engine running - shut it off when you're satisfied with the position. (steering wheel holder not necessary) If it's way out of spec, you'll be doing it twice with or without the holder anyway.Next: Check your specs - You'll need the Total-Toe spec.Next: Split the spec in half or (use the individual spec) and add it to the side you're NOT going to adjust yet - This may be a negative or positive number but, it is the total toe number you'll use while adjusting the side you ARE going to adjust.(If you're not savvy with math/negative numbers, use a calculator/cell phone)Next: With the value reached and the adjustment locked down on the side you just adjusted, adjust the side you left alone to the final total toe spec you intend to use and... that's it. You're done.Though I have in certain circumstances, you should never skip the double-check and test drive - You should be finished and with a perfectly straight steering wheel... 99.9% of the time. The machine doesn't make this calculation quite like this in the toe-app and as a result, we end up in situations like we had this morning - A customer with an uncentered steering wheel and an alignment machine that told us everything was "good".Again, if everything was way out of spec like mine was when you started, you'll have to fine tune/double check it before you pull the machine off but, this method will eliminate some inaccurate time consuming steps and give you the kind of accuracy and confidence that will increase your production and eliminate some of the common stresses and frustrations. This morning when you said "I don't have time for this" I knew exactly what you were talking about because in my day, I was knocking out 15 to 20 (personal record was 25) >complete< alignments a day in a cutting edge controlled chaos facility and to be honest, I didn't have time for toe or camber/caster apps or even lunch most of the time.Apart from identifying repair opportunities/damaged worn parts or noting marginal parts like my hub bearing, (yep, I had books and I gave wear tolerance specs to customers) on the repair order, everything I did had to be done quickly, efficiently, and right the first time and I NEVER had time to argue with ANYONE let alone someone with my knowledge and experience unless it was where we were going to get lunch from.In that regard, should you give this tip a try, I hope you'll find it as incredibly accurate, dependable, liberating and useful as I did when I learned it.Thanks again for your time, professio

I have been working on getting my warranty approval with Troy for two days and he has gone above and beyond to make sure I was getting everything I was entitled to which saved me a lot of money so far. I’ve never had that kind of service from any shop before and it really took the headache out of my scenario! I haven’t received my car back yet and I’m still positive it’ll be better then it was before. Thank you for the awesome service.

They even took me home and picked me up when the vehicle was ready.I had exclusively used a local Toyota dealership and was cautious about using an independent garage. My concerns have been completely eliminated!Christian Brothers has earned a new loyal customer!Thank you!

I had taken my early model Miata to a Mazda dealer for A/C repairs. I ordinarily do my own maintenance but am local for a temporary work project and away from my garage and tools. I knew what was needed. Dealer quoted $4,500 which included complete replacement of entire system when only condenser was needed. Brothers quoted $700 after inspection, matched my own diagnosis of what was needed, that crept up to $850 as work progressed as a tube was damaged during removal, which I recognize can happen given age and level of rust being an east coast snow/salt car. They kept me informed every step as things developed. Professional and courteous.
