Unless you want the pharmacy drive up window to be slammed in your face do not go here. We arrived at 5:50 and waited in line at the drive up for 10 minutes order to get my prescription. The person in front was taking an unacceptable amount of time. When we pulled up to the window to get our prescription we were told that the pharmacy was closed, that she could not help us, to come back tomorrow and abruptly closed the window. I am still in a state of shock. So rude, no effort made to understand that we had been waiting and just shut the window. Now I know that I don’t spend a ton of money there but they do not deserve and will not get any more of my money. I will be going elsewhere.

I’ve been very happy with CVS on Ellsworth and Broadway Roads until now. I’ve been taking Tylenol #3 nor for 4 years for my chronic pain. I’ve always been able to pick this medication up 2 days before the date of last pick up (example: I pick up my meds on 8/30/25 I would be able to pick up next refill on 9/28/25). I pay cash due to my insurance doesn’t cover this medication. I went in on 8/6/25 to get my next refill and was told we don’t have enough pills to fill. I took a 15 day supply and now I’m not able to pick up a refill until 8/21/25. That’s exactly 15 days from last fill. Why is this happening? Then on the fill date we get told the medication has to be ordered. I’m not sure why I got the excuse it’s my insurance when, I pay cash for this medication. I should’ve been able to actually pick this up on 8/20/25. This is getting out of hand I got told this is a high traffic narcotic store. I’m being classified as a user in this CVS eyes. I’ve been using this same pharmacy for at least 10 years now, I’m actually thinking about transferring because of this bad practice. I’ve been a CPhT for 20 years and have NEVER seen this kind of non helping people. This is our health and CVS is playing around with this.

I will start with the positive. Thank you David Bess for helping me with getting my prescription this morning. I recently had major back surgery on 7/15 and was prescribed a well known narcotic for pain during my healing process which is 8 weeks until my next appointment with doctors office. From the 1st refill there was not any type of hold up to get my refills while recovering. Last week, approximately tuesday, 8/15, I sent in my request for the refill. No problems with getting my refill. Just to say the amount is suppose to last 4 to 5 days. This refill lasted until monday morning, 8/18, so like normal I call and email my request to doctors office so I can get another refill. I'd already taken my last dosage for the morning and was sure that within the next 4 hours I would get the notification to have my prescription picked up, right? This refill didn't go as expected. It's now the afternoon and I have missed taking the next 2 scheduled doses. I called and left a voicemail for the pharmacist at the 9230 E. Broadway store to find out why I haven't received notification that my prescription was ready yet. Well not only did I not get a call back, no one would be clear with me as to why. Now I went to pick up other meds that were ready except for the pain medication. The pharmacy tech that waited on me went to ask the pharmicist as to why its not ready. When the young gentlemen returned to me, all I was told is they are waiting for my doctors office to call CVS or email them this information, which the pharmicist wouldn't even come themselves or acknowledge me about a diagnosis code. So I told my spouse about what happened being that she worked as a pharmacy tech for 2 decades and could talk the pharmacy lingo. By now it is already evening, which is considered after hours, 6:30, and no one is available to speak with me from the doctors office. So getting my spouse involved I was able to find out about this diagnosis code which was needed so my pain meds would be filled. Which I didn't understand because this is the first time this happened since I was already getting the refills with no problem. By now, I am frustrated and in a great amount of pain with missing 3 scheduled doses. So because CVS blamed this on the doctors office, I then sent an email to my doctors about what is going on and asking what can I do safely as to what i can take to relieve my back pain from surgery. Within minutes of sending the email, my doctor called me to explain that he personally sent the information to them more than once and the doctors DID NOT get a call from CVS concerning my refill. So now I had to go throughout the night without this medication, which was absolutely horrible! Did not sleep comfortably at all. First thing, 8am this morning, I went to CVS for an explanation as to why they were not filling my prescription. David was patient and had no problem with explaining everything as to why and what happened. So CVS, I get that you are following federal guidelines on narcotics, but I should not have had to go through this aggravation of getting my refill! I personally feel like the pharmacist that worked Monday, 8/18, obviously didn't care or it just wasn't that important! I feel as though because of the area I reside in I was stereotyped as an addict or something. This is not the first time I have had an issue with this particular store. This has happened even with my BP medication. Just to add so has my spouse been dealing with these sharades! No longer will I continue my business with getting my medications with CVS, I hope this will be considered as word of mouth to anyone that read reviews. My advise would be don't deal with this location especially or CVS period if you have the option to get medications with the competition. Very dissapointed with the treatment!!

This review is for the pharmacy department. I appreciate pharmacy tech Alexis. She is so sweet, quick and helpful. I am currently uninsured and she always help find me the most affordable ways to pay without me even asking. She goes above and beyond. Give that girl a raise and incentive. 👏

We went to get out new born passport photo, even though we had to return several time because of the difficult requirements for babies every employee was extremely nice and helpful until we finally got the picture! If you are doing an infant passport remember they have to have:
1. Eyes open
2. Mouth closed
3. 1 inch head
4. No white shirt
5. White flat background(we used a sheet)
Thanks again for the patience customer service!

While waiting for my prescriptions to be ready, the employees in the pharmacy were discussing how much they hate veterinarians because they were having difficulty finding the vet without the DEA number. I was there long enough to discover why their system didn’t work- they wrote the information down wrong. As a veterinary professional, this is extremely concerning and unsurprising. I cannot count the number of times CVS has incorrectly filled a patients medications or simply not filled them at all. Let’s all work together to keep people AND animals healthy!

The gentlemen at the pharmacy were very nice and took the time to go over what I was buying and gave advice to my questions. The gentleman at checkout was very nice and took care of my discounts.
Thank you

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. This has been my pharmacy the last 7 years, but specifically this year we've had our kids on antibiotics several times. Most recently the staff filled 3 prescriptions very quickly and when I unpacked them at home I greatly appreciated that each bag contained different size syringes and measuring spoons to get us through this course of antibiotics. I really thank them for their care and professionalism in preparing our meds. I don't think they are often given the courtesy of patience or told thank you enough, so thank you!

Store hours in Sundays are 9am- whatever, got to the store at 903 and I planned on a few minutes wait, but after waiting and watching the opener, come out, empty trashcans etc seeing us waiting but still not opening the store the 3 other possible customers left, I waited a bit longer but finally I too left around 910. If opening time is 9, employees might want to think about getting there earlier than that so they can actually open on time
