Facility is nice and the puppies seem to enjoy being boarded here (unlike they have at other places). We also appreciate the updates when we are gone. So it's a win for us.

Lovely people taking care of the furries. My dog Mocha came home worn out from playing - a good sign!

My pup hasn’t boarded with them yet, but I found them in a pinch when I thought I needed emergency boarding to be able to travel for work. I called and they were super nice, suggested I bring my dog in for an orientation and evaluation and gave me rates and availability. I ended up not needing them but took my sweet boy in so he’d be registered and ready when I needed him to be able to board there and they were great. He hung out and played a few hours and they sent me a report card and photos from his visit. Super impressed by the staff, the organized manner in which they run, and the facility. Seems great and I will absolutely use them to care for my baby in the future!

I’ve had two interactions with Doggie District that demonstrate misconduct, neglect, and dishonesty. My dog has come home with injuries, twice. Both times I received no explanation from management, despite asking for a phone call. Both injuries are concerning because they demonstrated either neglect or improper use of safety gear. The first was a tail fracture, diagnosed by a vet after finding an obvious new injury that was sustained at daycare. We found a new daycare after this, but had to return to Doggie District for boarding in a bind. This is when the second injury occurred, and it was sustained from what I assume was improper use of a muzzle. This daycare has a strict no muzzle policy. I brought my dog in for daycare after a veterinary appointment, where she wears a muzzle to prevent aggression with other dogs, but never humans. This was never asked of me. She was scheduled to be isolated from dogs while boarding. My dog was overdue for a behavioral evaluation at Doggie District, but they failed to ask me to complete one before accepting her for boarding. I dropped my dog off for boarding with a muzzle on. I offered to take the muzzle off, but they said they’d do it.When I picked my dog up, there were abrasions and lacerations on her nose with active bleeding. The injury matches her muzzle perfectly, and her muzzle has significant wear and tear that is new. This has never occurred when wearing the muzzle for the recommended amount of time, or even when pushing it to 6 consecutive hours of use.My assumption is that, instead of declining to board her, asking about her behavior/muzzle, or requesting to use the muzzle for extended periods of time, they just left the muzzle on. I’m making an assumption because I still have not received a phone call or explanation. To add to their misconduct, they offered assumptions and gave inappropriate veterinary advice. My dog was not wearing the muzzle during pick up, but her lesions were fresh and bleeding. When asked, they said they took the muzzle off right away. They blamed the wounds on my dog rubbing her face on something. They recommended I put antibiotics on the wound to help it heal. They weren’t sure about this, though. So they would check the cameras and call me. As I said, that never happened. These two occurrences demonstrate negligence, disregard for safety protocols, inappropriate veterinary advice, and an poor of communication.UPDATE:I received a call only after my review was found. Mostly, the conversation consisted of me enduring heated outbursts from an angry manager. I endured demands for evidence of my dogs injuries, contradicting stories from different managers, and corrections to my medical terminology (of a licensed general practitioner - their corrections were plainly wrong and an obvious diversion from accountability). When I stated I also had complaints beyond my dogs injuries, I heard false claims that they tried to reach me and failed, justification for inappropriate medical advice, absolution of blame for previos issues due to staffing changes… the list goes on. At one point they even interrupted me to accuse me of wanting compensation. Finally, after saying my only incentive was to avoid future incidents with other dogs, did they offer to let me see footage to prove the muzzle wasn’t left on. To see it, though, I would have to schedule a visit at the facility. This may have been honest, but their mishandling and poor communication have drained me of my incentive to investigate this further. My dog came home with two injuries on two separate occasions. They lack professionalism and don’t communicate. I won’t be returning.

We have been a client for 4 years, and have been very disappointed with his recent boarding experience. We have also noticed a significant staff turn-over the past few years. Our dog, was boarded from the evening of October 2 until the morning of October 9th.We paid for an individual boarding with the 4 star package. The 4-star package, as listed on their website, has 2 individual play sessions daily, 1 photo update, 1 pawgress report , 2 potty walks, and extended checkout (5pm).The tangible items of a pawgress report and photo update were not completed. This leads us to question if the other items in the package purchased were honored (e.g. play sessions and potty walks). Additionally, the verbal report that we received after pickup sounded very out of character for our dog, so we were hoping to receive the photo and report promised. When we picked him up and questioned about not getting any communication that we part of the paid plan, the woman at the front desk said “oh our system was down but I’m sure someone has some pictures of him… I can tell you that he LOVED playing with the hose!” I stared at her, trying not to laugh, as I said “really? My dog hates the water… to the point he will walk to the other side of the street if sprinklers are on and we have to bribe him with treats to go outside if it’s raining.” She quickly backpedaled saying “oh, I meant he was just pawing at the hose! The hose was off!” Again, this doesn’t make any sense as we have a hose in our back yard and our dog avoids. Additionally, we packed toys he does enjoy. At this point, I didn’t even bother responding to that statement and simply said we were looking forward to receiving the pawgress report and photos. The terms of the package that we paid an extra $6 a day ($42 total) for were not met. While money is part of the concerns, our dog’s well being is the major component. Because the terms of boarding were not met, we worry about the overall quality of care provided. To give them the benefit of the doubt, we gave them 48 hours to produce the report and pictures. Nothing. Then my husband sent an email to Doggie District and the email bounced back. He then submitted a request with that message on their intake form online. No response. A few days later, he called and left a voicemail. Again, crickets. The icing on the cake was getting home and having our dog feverishly rub his face on every surface. When we looked to see what was the matter, he had a stress rash. This has never happened after any other boarding and makes us question the quality of care provided. We are incredibly disappointed in service and lack of communication. We, luckily, have found somewhere else to board our dog and we don’t have to deal with this mess again.

My dog, Bentley, a 5-year-old purebred Maltese, absolutely loves visiting Doggie District for either boarding or day care. The facilities are welcoming and safe and there is plenty of personal attention for all of the animals. I highly recommend it!

My dog loves going here for 1x week daycare to play with other dogs. It's also nice to have a trusted place where I feel safe boarding my dog. We take alot more overnight trips knowing my pup is in good hands.

I can't even express how much I recommend Doggie District Mesa. I've been bringing my dog, Sadie, here for about a year now and I've had nothing but great experiences. Employees at the front desk always welcome us with a smile on their face. My girl has a special meal plan so I needed someone I could trust to keep up with it, and the team here definitely exceeded my expectations! Sadie LOVES it here, always wagging her tail the moment we walk through the door. I suggest bringing your dogs here if you want a place that will be safe, yet fun for your pets!

We really enjoy taking our boy Odin here for daycare and boarding. He's a Dobie and very high energy also, very big. They continue to let us bring him in where another place we used to go to ended up telling us that he's too much and he'll just be put in a room for daycare. No play time. Doggie District will pair him with other high energy dogs so it's a good match. Of there's no dogs he can pair up with, they take him out personally and play with him for a little so, he's at least having some fun during his stay.I definitely recommend this facility for your fur baby.

My dogs’ vet actually recommended Doggie District, so we changed to this daycare about 3 months ago after a few issues we had with his former one (a Dogs 24/7 location). Nobody fully understands how much Archie loves this daycare and how happy he is here until they watch him pull me as he runs full speed towards the door (he’s a 60lb husky btw). On days we don’t bring him in, he paces around the house, giving me puppy eyes so that I feel guilty enough to take him. Haha.Staff has been amazing; very kind and caring. Also, Alexys, the trainer, is very kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place!

Our dog loves the play time and the staff at Doggie District Mesa. Her(Dobie) attitude about going there and coming home is the same, happy, intergenic and worn out! This is the first dog that we have had that goes to a doggie day care - wish we would have started sooner.
