Evergreen Park is a wonderful community park in a historic setting. It is a nice park to take the kids, with a cute playground, ball field, and picnic areas. It is described as a well-maintained and wonderful place given all aspects to be considered. The park offers expansive green spaces and a tranquil escape, with well-maintained lawns and scattered trees providing a serene environment for picnics, relaxation, or casual strolls. It is a good spot. The park is dog-friendly and has a couple of tables in the picnic area. It is noted that Mesa PD has clearly addressed past safety concerns, and it is now a place where people feel safe taking their children to play, with no homeless or crazy people running around. It is hard to find places like this around here sometimes. As it is in a historical area, it can from time to time have less fortunate members of society to accommodate. However, the park presents a mixed bag. The playground facilities seem outdated and the sports facilities, while functional, could benefit from maintenance. The maintenance efforts are apparent in some areas, like the main walking paths, while other areas seem neglected. A lack of clearly marked amenities like restrooms is a notable drawback. Its potential as a community gathering space seems underutilized, with room for more events to create a stronger sense of connection. With thoughtful upgrades and increased community engagement, Evergreen Park has the potential to evolve into a more inviting and dynamic public space.
It's great food the portions are big, but it is a lil pricey, it's also very greasy and oily, you can't take a bite without it dripping.

This park used to be riddled with addicts. Mesa PD has clearly put that fire out. I feel safe taking my child to play here now. Love this park.
