Short version: no communication, job not done, no effort whatsoever to do what I tried to pay them to do. Tax preparer was Carmen Chacon.
Made an appointment to meet with tax adviser through the app. Showed up and she was not available; I tried to be nice about it, everyone has those days, so I opted to scan all my tax documents into the system there instead. Did this to file my taxes early in February. By April, still no word from tax preparer and in my app it still said they were looking over my documents. Called to find out what the heck was going on, and they told me first that I had already filed elsewhere so they couldn't submit my documents (which was not true). They told me they would call back to figure it out and never did. I called again, they then told me that I didn't have to file (also not true), and they tried to file me individually instead of as married filing jointly as I had requested when I went in to scan my documents and when I signed up on the app. I said that didn't make sense because I had to file every other year before and asked which documents they were going off of. They only had three of my many documents I had literally watched them scan into their system with my own two eyes, right in front of me, back in February. When I discussed this issue with the person on the phone, they said they would talk to my "tax pro" and call back. They never did. I called again, they said they couldn't get my tax filing done by the deadline, but they could escalate the issue to their head boss and they would call back. They never did. I did not wait for a call back. I found a competent tax preparer who did the job within 24 hours of me contacting them. I still have not heard from H&R Block and I can only hope they didn't lose my personal documents and leak them somewhere. Never going back to H&R Block again. Worst experience I have ever had with any company. My tax preparer was Carmen Chacon. Tried messaging on the app too, no response ever. If I could give zero stars and speak to a higher up about the incompetence of this location, I would happily do so.

I highly recommend Musbah Kammourie. I've been requesting him for my taxes at H&R Block for 10 years now. He's the best! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a small business owner and filing taxes can be a stressful thing, but Musbah makes it so much easier and I always walk away feeling confident that my taxes were done correctly.

Overall, this is my second year. This is a person who does HOH and simple w-2 form, but with that being said it's worth it maybe not at the price but with the piece of mind. 300 plus is pricey however, it's replaced with the insurance of getting every penny you deserve. With only coming here during tax season is the reason why I gave 4 stars.

My husband and I booked an appointment online for Sunday a week prior. We arrived at our appointment time to find the office door locked and nobody inside. I called the office and was told that the representative called out and nobody else was available. I told the by the girl who answered the phone that she tried to contact me, but I have no missed calls at all today from any number. I'd happy pull and print my at&t phone bill to prove that I'm not lying. It's really sad that this is how H&R block conducts business, especially given the time crunch on the deadline. Some people may say why wait so long. The truth is we never do, but I had an unexpected emergency surgery that kept me down for a few weeks and didn't feel confident when I tried doing them myself online. At the end of the day I don't need to explain myself when H&R block made a business decision to have appointment options for today, and also have unreliable staff with no on call back ups. Not good business ethic at all.
