Store location:Mesa, AZ Comment: Store 1404 cashier 850281 Accused me of jumping over counter and getting needles from some where I shouldn't be??? Then over charged me I believe deliberately. I don't know why but ever since I walked in store she just stared at me? I think she thought I was someone else, whom she didn't like because she was just rude and judgmental about everything regarding me. Also at first refused to sell me needles. I asked why then retracted said it has a sticker?? I don't know half the stuff she was talking about, maybe high on drugs because I don't know where she got I jumped over a counter? I came in specifically to buy rivets for leather and walked to the area I remember it being, since I'm a regular. I own a dry cleaners near by and run here for items I need for alterations that are urgent. But didn't find them there. So I walked around store looking to see if I could find anything to replace and solve my needs. But found rivets and leather supplies in other area. I believe this woman was spying on me. I asked another associate for help to open locks to get items. She took to register. I went up to pay but before I got some leather sewing needles on next aisle, for my machine. Now lady that was spying is now cashier and is looking at me in a disturbing way. she is refusing to sell me the needles for leather , machine and is rude and derogatory. she is accusing me of jumping a counter and tells me I'm not allowed and will not sell me any of my items. I said I haven't been over any counters and I got everything from leather goods area. She then let me buy the items but was still rude and just looked at me with disgust. I literally believe she over charged me out of just hatred for what ever delusion she was going through. Was also upset that I was pulling up app for discount coupons. It was very obvious she didn't want to assist in helping me save money. I come in at least 1 a month sometimes 3 times and spend 50.00 to 150.00 per visit. I don't think anyone should be treated this way, especially after working all day 9 hour days 6days a week. I own a dry cleaners and alterations shop. I'm tired usually when I come in and don't want to be disrespected. I'm calling manager tomorrow to try to get my refund on over charge. See how that goes?? But I really think you should screen your employees better and check for drugs or mental illness I don't know what I could of possibly done to irritate this woman so badly. But I think I'll try getting my things through Amazon next day delivery. If this the way people are treated at Joanns. not only was it embarassing to have her yell at me in-front of other customers for something I didn't do. she treated me like garbage.

Terrible service. Store is messy. Couldn’t get helped by anyone. Wasn’t allowed to use the restroom. Front clerk was very rude and unfriendly. I used to like coming to Joanns seems like hobby lobby will be my top go too from now on.

This is my "need something quick" or "in a pinch" Joann location. Compared to their other locations, this one is quite small and run down, and very dark inside. They have the basics and will definitely do in a pinch, but if you want to peruse and have lots of options, I would consider another location. I placed a pick up order with them, when I was in a time crunch, the order wasn't ready until the next day and was missing many of my items. I then went through the store to find replacements and found some of the items I actually had on my original order - granted, it was the holidays so they may have had less hands or selection, but I did use the service for time savings and not so sure it saved me much time! Staff is nice enough, so no complaints there, but I love perusing the seasonal goods, decor and large Circut supplies, but lack the options here. Definitely still love visiting a Joann's and enjoy the selection of goods from fabric, to baking, home decor, sewing and a whole lot in between. They have great coupons on their app or website, so make sure to take advantage of those!

Used to work here. I quit. Had too many tasks put onto me when i was closing the store with only 1 other person. Would work 7 or 8 hours with NO break or lunch at all. Store closes with only 2 people. Nothing gets out to the floor because there's nobody scheduled enough to get it out. Everyone is grumpy because they're stressed out and overworked while being severly underpaid. The managers will take the customers side before their employees. No empathy for the employees if something happens personally. I wish all the new employees good luck. Youre gonna need it with all these changes the higher ups are doing to joanns

My son who is 15, was told to get out of the store because he was on his own. All he needed was the restroom. If they have an age limit on who can come in the store they should post it.I hate this location

Can you hire more people , So there are at least 3 people working. Having only 2 people seems to put your employees in a bad mood.

I prefer to come to this JoAnns even though it is smaller than the other stores. There is a young man named Sebastian who always is friendly and helpful. When you are shopping, he will come by and ask if you need help. You don't get that service from either of the stores in the East Valley. If what you need is not in stock he will look up where it is. I am always happy to see that he is still working there. He is an asset that I hope the company appreciates him.

Associates are rude, make unnecessary comments. Should be ashamed to treat elderly people so poorly. Lost a customer. Was at this store today and the associates are not thinking of how they respond to customers...need customer relations training.

Date: Nov. 6, 2023 Easy to access off the South 202 freeway, though parking can be hectic in the holiday season Large store with many hobby goods - fabric, sewing notions, yarn, paper crafting, Cricut products, jewelry making, kids crafts, paint & canvas, baking, fake florals, home decor, etc. Staff are friendly and most try their best to answer questions. (From a fellow retail worker, remember employees are people too: they don't know everything, don't control prices, can't be everywhere at once, can have bad days/interactions, and have lives outside their job.) Unfortunately short staffed, as most places are at this time. Expect to wait in line to check out but usually no more than 5 minutes. (Holidays obvs make longer times). Also usually a line at the fabric counter, times totally vary. There are signs around the store to help direct where things are but don't expect to find many employees available to assist (Again, staff shortages). Items are almost always on sale so coupons don't work, but for non sale items there is almost always a discount available. Value wise it could be better but life isn't cheap so... keep that in mind and don't blame staff. Corporations don't care about us average joes. Overall a good store.

We went to Joann's in search of fleece material to make tied blankets. Sally let us know that some material blocks we chose were not going to work. We picked out different material. Thank you Sally

Great. Have lots of material. The workers weren’t the friendliest. And seemed pretty grumpy.

Went to purchase some trim for a dress and took my sample to get it trimmed at the counter. Mona was rude the entire time and when she was done cutting what I asked for aggresively threw the trim on the counter at my elderly mother. She then told us to get out of the way as we weren't moving away from the counter quick enough. I hope Mona finds God.

Why is this always the rudest joanns. The lady at the back counter could not have made it clearer that she hated being here and that everyone who needed a cut could screw off. I dont normally get mad, but my mom was buying trimming for my bridesmaid dress. The woman,, Mona, threw the trim at me, and told us we were in the way of the people behind us with a glare. This happened today and just, wow
