Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is a very clean, well-organized, and nice new facility. The staff are described as amazing, wonderful, helpful, great, and very kind. The shelter has cleaned up a lot, with kennels positioned to reduce stress and great yards for play. It is a great place to adopt a pet, with many sweet animals needing homes. Some note that the fees to reclaim a lost pet can be high. They are doing really great work, though they no longer take cats. Visitors are advised to plan time for adoption and to be patient as animals adjust.
Came by today! The workers were all super sweet and the facility is very clean. Will be coming back to check up on available dogs for adoption. They’re all such sweet babies and I know this facility is doing the best they can to care for them. Hoping to adopt one this week!

I adopted my gal roo at the prior shelter. she's still with me, though a senior now. the new place is great as far as a shelter goes, but it's still a shelter, sadly. Staff, volunteers ,make it as nice as they can for so many great dogs. PLEASE ADOPT, DON'T SHOP. the best feeling in the world
