Mesa thrift store is a big scam. You can’t even get a hold of them. Their phone doesn’t work.

Racist Cashier towards a group of Hispanic people, Lady told them in English to go learn English out of nowhere! The group of guys weren't even talking to her. I immediately translated it to them, and they laughed it out bc I mean how unprofessional and childish.

I shopped them when my kids were
Little but we lived far east valley so I did not shop as often. My daughter is an adult now and we make a trip to thrift there rather and the many goodwills,we pass along the way. This place is cheaper, the employees are nicer and it just fun. There is a long time employee at the boutique area who is beyond sweet. We don’t know her name we just know she is nice. It’s not a super neat and organized however the magnitude of the volume of product makes it fun to find that hidden gem. It’s nice to go to this store. Fun place!

I've always really liked this thrift store but the prices are outrageous. Here you can see the original price on this children's book was $2.99, and Mesa Thrift was charging $4.99 for it. Additionally the book also was a former library book. Charging $5 for a library worn picture book from 1994 (30 years old!) is pretty greedy.

Prices are high.
No dressing rooms and all sales are FINAL. What's up with THAT???
Goodwill gives credit towards future purchases if you need to return things. So my final recommendation is to go to Goodwills and St Vincent de Paul thrift stores. That way you know the money goes to organizations that help people. Namely the underserved and homeless people in our communities!

Prices a lot higher than expected on some items. For instance, men's shorts 9.99 and little girl shorts 6.99.

I was just curious how they were doing these days. Same complaints there always has been. But I'm a former employee who worked there from 1996 to 2009. I don't think they have anyone who responds to their reviews management wise, but let me clarify a few things. They used to have fitting rooms and having fitting rooms is a wonderful thing but sadly like with most things it's those bad ones that ruin it for the good ones. That's in regard to the fitting rooms and the bathrooms. They took out the fitting rooms because there were astronomical amounts of theft. So much so that when they tore the fitting rooms down thousands and thousands of tags fell out of the walls because they were stuffing the tags within the walls apparently. As far as the restrooms, same thing goes. Do you know how many times the janitor or other employees, had to clean the bathrooms because there was feces all over the place. Many folks who use the bathroom for whatever reason they would wipe themselves and throw the papers in the trash versus the toilet. Or the bathrooms would be like I said disgusting or flooded. And it got to the point where the employees themselves couldn't even use restrooms because they would be destroyed by various customers and non-customers using the restrooms. As for pricing, they have a very customary way in which they price most thrift stores are a third of the original cost of a garment for an example and they do educate their employees on brand names, various brand names from all over, whether it's Walmart or you're higher priced name brands, And of course they try their best to base it on condition of the garment as well. Hopes this helps. Miss That place they were my little family for a long time!

Please just go to 360Thrift or Goodwill. Broken and damaged items everywhere, customers use this place like trash. Very crowded, sizes are not displayed on tags, disorganized and confusing. There are discounts but when sweaters are priced at $20, might as well buy them new. This place is just another product of Thrift store greed.
