So of course my insurance deductible reset after the 1st of the year and I knew I would have some kind of bill for X-rays for my son. It wasn’t until I arrived the morning of that they told me I will have to pay $1400 for 3 X-rays. They knew we were coming because I scheduled two weeks ago so why wait until I show up to tell me how much I will have to pay??? They could have called me ahead of time to warn me! That’s a lot of money that I don’t have right now. I mean where is common courtesy any more?

I am posting this in hopes that the surgery center provide me with someone to contact. My son had ear tube surgery two weeks ago. After surgery I believe my son was having side effects to the medications they gave him. He vomited and repeatedly had his oxygen levels drop to 83. I asked that he be given oxygen because his levels should not drop that low. The nurse made excuses and would not give him oxygen. Please provide me with someone to contact concerning this matter.

The urgent care is an absolute nightmare. I came in at 4:30 and waited for five hours. eventually i just left because at 8 i was told only five people were ahead of me. Then, at 9:30 they told me that 8 were ahead of me at that point i left. They let several children that had gotten there hours before me into rooms, these were kids who I saw running around and playing in the urgent care waiting room. Seeing this was extremely upsetting as i had surgery the week prior and had still been having high fevers, black colored stool, passing out, and abdominal pain. All they will do for you is check your vitals and tell you to go sit and wait. I felt a lack of care from the staff and did not feel like my health was being prioritized. Do not come here at night it’s a fiasco

I'm giving this place one star for the sheer fact that they are still not allowing siblings into the urgent care if they aren't being seen. What in the world is a single parent supposed to do. The whole point of an urgent care is to give care for unexpected illness that doesn't warrant an ER visit. Parents can't generally plan for that to have child care for their other children. I came in to have my baby looked at after picking him up from daycare and seeing that he had very good eyes and was told I couldn't have his 7 year old sister with me, that she had to wait outside. What am I supposed to do in this situation? Make a 7 year old sit outside in a car by herself? This places an unnecessary and unfair barrier to care in front of patients and their families. Other children exist, trust me an urgent care is the last place most of us want our kids just hanging out. Most of the time if there with us it's because we don't have a choice.

I'm very dissatisfied with the care from the physician and how she belittled my kids symptoms, first of all I have a lot of respect for Phoenix children hospital as they are my number one go to, telling me it's not flu season, are you freaking kidding me . And then she wanted to say well how about I just send you to the er, no I don't want to go to the er I came here, an X-ray could've been done I've been here multiple times and all the other time physician care has been good, but I will not be allowing my family to see that specific physician she had no bedside sympathy/empathy and then . She had to come back and correct my son and I on his diagnosis yet she was not there the day they discovered his abscess. I understand that they are busy but just because your a physician doesn't mean you are any better than the patient. Nov2022

Staff is really slow, very bad at communicating and getting times are incorrect. I went in to get my child’s blood work done and they wouldn’t take him since it was after 4:30. I had called before hand and asked and the lady on the phone and she had told me as long as I got there before 5 everything would’ve been okay. Not impressed with this urgent care. The staff seems very condescending at times and not very friendly.Edit: The staff the following Thursday was much much better. We were in and out in 5 minutes. I was very impressed with the speed and the professionalism of this staff. The nurse made my sons blood draw safe, fast and smooth. Hopefully I run into the Thursday staff more often and this place would easily get a 5 star review.

Quick and good service for their urgent care. However, beware of the hidden fees! My kids have used this facility for surgeries and we paid the same here for their surgeries as when we went to see a simple specialist initial visit (x-rays taken) on the non urgent care side. They billed us three ways for one visit. There should be limits to how much they can milk out of regular families with insurance.I went to another office for my other child a week later and received the same quality care (x-rays also taken) without any hidden facility fees. Had I known they had hidden facility fees I would have avoided this place completely!Per the owner’s advice I contacted financial services, as previously done before on this same matter. I was told again there is nothing they will do. Basically businesses such as this one leave it to the middle class to pay extra fees because they can get away with it. Our health insurance companies allow them to bill as a hospital when they are being used for specialty doctors visits.Beware of what you are getting in to! I tried to pay before our visit the specialist copay and the office worker told me not to worry, they would bill me later. I asked if there were other fees I should know about and they said no. Had I known they didn’t want to collect my money up front because they planned on increasing the bill I would have cancelled. This is a poor business strategy and I won’t be returning.

I brought my son here, he was feeling sick and had inflamed lungs. Doctor failed to detect it when listening to his lungs. They dismissed him bc he had a negative strept throat test, the also tested for covid and Just asked to keep him on Tylenol / Motrin around the clock. My son had severe bronchitis and was having difficulty breathing and I had to find that out too late

The front desk staff is so rude here. I brought my son in and there was one other child waiting in the lobby. During registration my son had diarrhea that went through his pants so I asked where I could go to change him quickly. When I came back, out of being courteous I apologized for having to leave to change his diaper (which I should never have to even apologize for) and she responded with, "Good thing we're not busy or I wouldn't be able to let you do that." I looked at her in disbelief and responded, "Well, I'm not going to let my son sit in a dirty diaper." Appalling customer service. Staff once we got called back were nice. You need to hire new front desk personnel or train them in customer service. And I should know, I'm a nurse at a EV hospital.

Get off your high horse on Covid and let both parents come in with their child. Especially if they are both vaccinated. This is outrageous. Not only does the child need to be supported but sometimes the other parent needs support too, especially if it's their first child that is severely sick and needs attention. That's the only reason you get one star. Besides that their pediatric doctors are really nice and worth going to but the urgent care is iffy.

Dr Kathleen Klas and her nurse today were a complete joke. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism and compassion this team had for my daughter and husband, whom was in the appointment with our daughter today. For starters when we were greeted by the nurse to go back she stated theyvare still down to only 1 parent. Thats fine, we kindly respected their request and being that I just pumped milk we had dad go with our daughter. We forgot to bring a bottle with a nipple today so in my research I told my husband to cup feed her for the moment. Let me be clear...we do not regularly cup feed our daughter even though she can hold her head up and roll over at 3 months and 3 weeks old. She is mainly breast fed with an occasional expressed breast filled bottle. Dr Klas was furious he was even trying to cup feed telling my husband that our daughter wasnt even old enough to hold her own head up and that she could aspirate...our daughter was litterally sitting strong in her daddy's lap as the dr was going off on him. Highly unprofessional and not what should be tolerated at any PCH appointment. Other unprofessionalisms that happened were dr klas did not believe my husband about our daughter's advanced developments. News flash, we are just as amazed as her own pediatrician, who is amazing btw. Also, I am so glad to see on our daughters report that she weighs as much, if not more, than a high school student at 55 kg which is equivalent to 123 lbs! Back to the cup feeding, dr klas wrote that my husband said we are now cup feeding instead of breast feeding which is not what he said at all, thank you. The report also states our daughter rolls from her tummy to her back which is not the case at all. Our daughter, 1 time, 2 weeks ago rolled from her side to her tummy, oh my goodness please get your details correct as you are charting someones medical records, not making a scrap book! These events are very unfortunate as we have a long road to travel with PCH and our daughter's treatment. I would prefer greatly to not have to see these unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate and uncompassionable people again. The 2 head drs on our daughters case are amazing in themselves and we can not, for the life of us figure out why and how their coworkers dont have the same class and compassion.

I am a first time mom & my 2 month old was running a fever so I came here per my pediatrician’s recommendation since it was 9pm. I saw an older gentleman (doctor) & had a horrible experience. When we arrived, my daughter’s temp had gone down since I had given her Tylenol. After the doctor saw us, he wasn’t sure what the protocol was, so he stepped out & when he came back he told us to go to the hospital to see if she had an infection. I felt very overwhelmed & wanted to ask questions to help determine if the hospital was absolutely necessary because a) I thought her temp might stay down so I wondered if we should give it some time to see & b) if it wasn’t 100% necessary, I didn’t want to expose my young baby to the sicknesses in the hospital. I felt EXTREMELY judged for asking questions & not immediately just doing what I was told. I was told “to make a decision because he has other patients to see” & he left so I could call my husband. When the doctor came back, he didn’t even come in the room to address me. He very rudely peeked his head in the door to see what we had decided (we decided to go home & see if her temp would go down) & he was so brutally cold to me. I had more questions & had to ask him to come in the room because he was so unwilling to speak with me & kindly answer my Q’s so I could feel taken care of.We DID end up going to the hospital in the next 30 min because her temp did not come down but this doctor treated me with absolute disdain. It was awful. I felt so kindly treated by the hospital staff & the contrast was shocking. I left the urgent care sobbing, scared, & like I was a terrible mother. I hope this can be addressed because I never want another scared mom to feel this way.
