Pioneer Park is a huge, 17.8-acre park featuring an amazing and extensive playground. The 9,000-square-foot area includes multiple huge playscapes, treehouse play structures, a real historic locomotive, and toddler swings. For cooling off, there is a 15-foot water wall and splash pad, which operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park also offers a unique 500-foot suspension bridge and big raised walkways. Visitors will find restrooms, plenty of grass, and picnic amenities including first-come, first-serve shaded picnic ramadas as well as reservable ones. There are picnic tables and benches located around the playgrounds. Other features include two lighted basketball courts and a horseshoe area available by reservation. The park provides a food truck and food court area, and its historic train and monuments add character. The park is closed at 10 p.m. It has no electricity.
Fun park for kids. The train is cool. The slides are tall.
