I've come to this Discount Tire for over 20 years and I've always been happy with the service. However, today I am unhappy with an attempt to oversell me on lug nuts. The sales guy working the front desk tried to tell me that my lug nuts are in danger of being stripped out, which would prevent a tire from being removed. My car is only 5 years old, and no one has ever told me I had a lug nut problem so I was automatically suspicious. Then we walked back inside and showed me a sample of a bad lug nut... which just happened to be sitting on the counter--as if he oversells lug nuts all day long. By the way, he quoted me $50 for a set of lug nuts for the whole car, while O'Reillys charges $.50 a nut. To be fair, they are fast and efficient. Their tire prices appear to be fair. I may continue using them.

Dear Matt, The Halle Family would be proud of your store. Kyle special ordered a primo set of 5 tires, new sensors, and wiper blades for a really nice price. I checked around. Discount Tire had the best deal... Once again Moral of the story: Always give Discount Tire a chance at your business. You owe it to yourself. It's really that simple

Michael realized he wasn't going to sell me tires for my 392 Challenger and all the sudden his machine that was reading 3's and 4's was "faulty" and my tire didn't have enough tread to patch lol. He was so mad that I was going to take my business elsewhere he sent the little short bald general manager out to my car window to get mouthy and arrogant with me. Lol These guys. It's ok went to Big O tires and they got me!

At some point this year, I had tires replaced at this Discount Tire location. While in the shop, I got a phone call that the lug nuts on my work van needed to be replaced. Price and style weren't discussed with me, so I figured they were just installing similar chrome nuts. When I returned to pick the van up, they had installed black nuts, that require a special key socket to remove them. This was never discussed as an option with me, and considering it's a work vehicle that other people may drive, and lose the key socket, was not acceptable. I spoke with the manager to let him know the situation, and he agreed to swap them out. After waiting a few days for the nuts to be delivered, I returned to the shop, and they got me in and out as quickly as they could. I thought that was the end. Lo and behold a few months later, they screwed me. I decided to change the brake rotors and pads yesterday. This is the first work that has been done in an area where the tires need to be removed since having the Discount Tire replacement. One of the lugs on the front passenger tire, did not want to come off. I always remove and replace the lugs manually with a four-way or a breaker bar and properly sized socket. When I finally did get the lug nut off, it pretty clearly had been cross threaded by whoever last installed it. The last place to touch those lugs, was this Discount Tire location. I can only assume some tech was being reckless with an air torque wrench, and just went crazy with it. Long story short, prior to me changing my brakes yesterday, Discount Tire had the last set of hands to touch the lugs on my work van. They cross threaded a nut while rushing to fix a mistake they caused. Now my van has a ruined lug stud that I'll have to bang out and replace.

Tried to order tires for my dads car. Was told the tires he currently has in his Fiat are for drag racing (um no they are on a Fiat) Then was told I don't know what I'm talking about because he has not heard of Summit tires. Shop around is all I can say.

Had a blow out on a rental car and Kyle was quick to help and offered to contact the rental company to have them cover it despite me planning in covering it myself. Had me in and out in an hour total so we could make an appointment.

I've been meaning to get a new set of tires for a while, especially because I put high mileage on my car. The store manager, Josh Carlson, assisted me. The appointment was straight-forward, and he was personable and professional. Even when they were running a bit behind, it was clearly communicated to me so I could get a better estimation of a pickup time. Thank you again so much Discount Tire team on 1936 E Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ! Look forward to receiving your assistance in the long run; and even if I get a new car.

Ok my experience here was night&day from yesterday at discount tire on baseline & Gilbert. I walked in 4p on Sept 21 to replace the 2 tires I was unable to get replaced (see baseline & Gilbert posting Sept 20). It has just rained and it was very busy. There were about 5-6 people sitting in lobby waiting so I thought I'd be there till closing. There was one guy helping a customer at counter a long sleeved red shirted guy (maybe a manager). I was next in line but as soon as I walked in the line, another employee immediately came from the back to help me. He was a white guy named Emerson I believe. I told him about the situation, but unfortunately tires I wanted were not in stock so it cost me $40 extra for suitable replacements, which was ok. We went out to my car to get mileage and vin and he took my order shortly afterward. He said it be about 1h 15m which was fine. I opted to not have tired rotated and later had to go back up to counter for it. Emerson was about cool and added it no charge. He was very professional and overall seemed like he enjoyed being there honestly. Actually, one of the first things I noticed was the diversity of this location and consistency of employee professionalism and attentiveness to other customers which is always nice to see. After the baseline & Gilbert fiasco, I wasn't sure what to expect really... Here the employees weren't trying to rush customers or being annoyed at helping them all. I think I sat there like 30-35m til my car was done! So I was able to get appt level speed & quality service as a walk-in at country club location which I couldn't buy at baseline & Gilbert location the other day. They didn't even wanna take my money... Hey discount tire on country club, good job and keep up the great work: taking care of your customers and treating them all fairly...even on busy, rainy days.

If you have an app to get in line and you're first in line . I believe the staff should check their computer prior to coming outside and address the app people first and not simply address someone that push they way to the front. Poor customer service I have been a loyal customer of discount tire for over a decade.

It doesn't matter if you make an appointment or come in right when they open, you will never be able to wait for your vehicle for any type of service here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but their turnaround time is absolutely terrible. Plan to drop your vehicle off for the day if you get a service here.

Had a flat on my 12-inch trailer tire driving from CA to FL. Dustin was sensitive to our time schedule and frustration over the tire. He got us in and out of there quick and it wasn't expensive. Thanks Dustin!
