Deli Department06-17-2023This morning I received outstanding service from all three persons in the deli department. The new employee in the deli department - sorry I didn't get his name as he was busy- , is a winner. Make sure to keep him, as well as the others. An absolute pleasure to shop in this store where all employees are in a good mood. The employees for evening shift are rude and disrespectful. They will talk about customers and when confronted think a discount will fix it. I don't need your discount. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it or at least wait until the person won't hear you. This location was my exclusive stop for since the pandemic started and now I will not return unless absolutely necessary.

This was a really nice Safeway. It was a little outdated, but still very clean and organized. I like that it's a one stop shop for so many things. It also has a Starbucks kiosk. I found everything I needed.

I came to Safeway on my lunch break. They sold me these wings which were burnt, cold, and old. I brought them back only to be treated colder than the food they sold me earlier in the day. The manager John had the nastiest attitude so I was certainly not surprised that his team had such negative attitudes.

This place is the worst. If you shop the ads at all read the fine print. It's a total scam, you have to buy $25 worth of items not including the cost of the items on sale, so even if you spend $50 including the sale item you still don't get the sale price.

I came in the day before Mother's Day after going to multiple floral shops and finding absolutely nothing that felt like it showed the kind of appreciation and love for my grandmother that she deserves. After looking over the arrangements already made I asked the florist there if she could make me one and I explained that my grandma was a retired florist. I could tell she was busy but she obliged. I told her what I wanted, added my sisters high expectations to the mix and asked her to bring her A game. She didn't disappoint at all, in fact she nailed it. She made a beautiful arrangement that my grandmother absolutely loved and she saved me from bringing my retired florist grandmother an arrangement that to her would've felt mediocre. I couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much for being so kind and understanding and helping me out in a pinch. It was the best customer service I've ever experienced from any florist. That is of course right under my grandmother.

Alright for starters I used to work at a fry's grocery store. I requested quarters from a 5 dollar bill that I had so I can fill up my water gallons since purchasing water cases are pretty expensive. When I was purchasing my Moscow mules I tried to get quarters from the cashier but she appointed me to customer service where the short little red emo girl told me there is a shortage of quarters. Lol I don't how is that possible but that cracked me up. After reading some of the comments I believe after covid became pandemic they are rude to people. Just plain disrespectful.

Huge shout out to Joseph who works in the Deli/Hot Foods section! His service is absolutely awesome! He provided service with a smile, and assisted impeccably! It was my first time at this particular Safeway, and because of his extraordinary service it has encouraged repeat visits, and now my preferred store based on this experience alone. Great job sir, and this review is most deserving as you are the quintessential employee extraordinaire and I hope that management sees that! It was my pleasure to give this review and wishing you all the best!

I recently moved to this area of Mesa AZ, the location is convenient for gas and near home. I've had nothing but good service from all departments with the exception of the seafood/meat department. Today was a big disappointment for me. For it was the first time that I was totally ignored and saw Scott the butcher want to give great customer service to a man that looked like himself. My feelings are hurt. And I shouldn't have to be made to feel that I'm not important. I try so hard in my everyday life to be open to all people...I don't know if I can emotionally even go to safeway again....sad I can't stop crying...Angel the brown young man helped me and I purchased every crab leg they had, but I'm devastated . I am in customer service and float around the valley and will be absolutely sharing my experience. I was just in Goodyear today...

I just went shopping at Safeway on Southern. I saw more than one person not wearing a mask. The store is not in enforcing it because corporate is not making it mandatory for customers to wear masks. Here we are almost 6 months into the pandemic and we are still trying to decide whether a mask should be mandatory or not? Message to Safeway and management. You are putting your customers and employees at risk when wearing a mask is discretionary. Walmart and other businesses are making mask wearing mandatory. Safeway needs to do the same!

Karen and Carrie and Ryan at the pharmacy are great! I had a whole lot of ongoing issues using Walmart pharmacy and now I go to the location on Val Vista & Southern. I initially went in and talked to the pharmacist and explained the constant problems I was having at Walmart and she talked to me for a while and let me know how their system works and how they would be able to take care of me and it is so much easier and they are familiar with how my prescriptions are processed.
