do noy purchase gift cards at safeway. i purchase a $100 amazon gift card and there was no claim code. amazon said that amazon doesn't grt money to claim is made. safeway denies that and said that amaxon has the money. either way i'm out a hundred bucks!!!! customer service is uncaring and wouldn't give me the time!

-They answer call 1 in 7 calls i have made. Also left voicemail no response.-At pharmacy counter both staff members socializing with lady customer for 7 minutes while I am standing in the line waiting. Attend me and socialize all day I don’t care.-Lastly but not the least, RX not ready even though i got an automated phone call confirmation.

I have been using this pharmacy for quite some time. My PCP called in a new prescription for blood pressure medicine two days ago. Usually, they text me by end of day that my prescription is ready for pickup. Did not receive a text so I called them around 9:40 am the next morning. I was offered the option of leaving a VM. I never heard back from them so I went there in person to see what the problem was today, more than 36 hours later. Pharmacist Karen, who is also the manager, showed up to open shop at about 4 minutes to open to serve customers. So I had to wait while she opened the curtain, brought the cash tray out, and slowly stroll around doing her normal set up. Very blase, no sense of urgency. Purposely dragging her feet because she could see that I was upset. Karen then told me that they were out of stock. I asked why they didn't text me so I could get it filled somewhere else. She said they don't have time for that. She said I should have called. When I told her I did call, she said that they never return phone calls. She said they "don't have time for phone calls." They only text when the order is done. She claims she is "short staffed." I told her that stores that are short staffed end up closing because they cannot serve their customers. She said I shouldn't have called so early -- 9:40 AM? That's early? The store opens at 8am. And what difference would have it have made since they don't return phone calls anyway, even though their recording says to "leave a message and we will call you back." She said I should have come in instead. She kept trying to put the blame on me! Karen said she could do a partial order. Then she came over and said she could complete the order, but from two manufacturers. So she had the complete prescription all this time. Meanwhile my blood pressure is 203/83, which is a very dangerous level. I told her that she obviously isn't committed to her managerial position since she didn't arrive early, which is the responsibility of a manager, to show up and have everything open and ready to go to serve customers on time. Karen still thinks it is MY fault for not following through. No, it is Karen's fault because she just doesn't care. It's almost like she is punishing Safeway's customers because they cannot find enough people to work there. Who would want to work for a manager like that? Yes, she is definitely a "Karen." I am moving my prescriptions to a drug store that appreciates my business. Karen exudes a careless attitude of "it will get done when I am good and ready;" i.e., at her leisure. I also filed a complaint with corporate.

The staff is absolutely fantastic! The prescriptions are prepared in a timely fashion. Any insurance problems they take care of without batting an eye. I highly recommend.

Save yourself from the additional headache and go somewhere else. They are unorganized and slow. Always a line that takes what seems like forever to find out they most likely messed up getting you your RX in some way.

I am very happy with Safeway Parmacy. I was using CVS, my daughter doesn't have insurance so we were paying out of pocket $35 and $45. That's even using the GoodRX app. I discovered that Safeway is way more affordable. Those same prescriptions are now $9 and $16. I also love, love, love that they answer their phone!

I came to Safeway on my lunch break. They sold me these wings which were burnt, cold, and old. I brought them back only to be treated colder than the food they sold me earlier in the day. The manager John had the nastiest attitude so I was certainly not surprised that his team had such negative attitudes.

Slow and disorganized. Surly pharmacist has a chip on her shoulder. One of the pharmacy techs was first rate and very careing , thus three stars.

I've been going to this pharmacy for nine years now, and have since moved away, but I still make the 20 minute drive just to continue doing business here, that's how awesome the staff is.

I filled my son’s prescription at this pharmacy, and had a great experience. Instead of billing the expensive prescription through my insurance, that helped me navigate GoodRx to apply a coupon and save $50. The entire team was very helpful, and Jeannette is a rockstar!
