I can’t believe I haven’t wrote a review. Kelly is incredible I’ve been going to her for 4-5 years. She’s very knowledgeable and does an amazing job. My husband goes to here too. She’s been in our life for all life events. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and did an absolutely beautiful job. I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt on my big day. To now she will for sure give my daughter her first haircut when her hair is long enough. Thank you Kelly for always being so awesome. I added some wedding pictures her and her staff did amazing.

I did myself a favor by spending a few extra dollars for my haircuts (compared to the chain salons), and now I get fabulous, consistent, personalized service! The stylists and staff know what they're doing at Schwahn Salon - - I couldn't recommend it more!

I had my haircut with this place about two months ago, and I had a great experience with them. They started by asking me to fill in a questionnaire regarding my hair quality, style preference, and service preferences. I liked they asked me to circle if I prefer to have a quiet and relaxing haircut experience or a more engaged and talkative experience. They also gave me complementary water as I waited. I forgot the hair stylist's name but she was super nice and professional. She also sent me off with a goodie bag filled with samples and caring instructions. It was my first time here and I have already recommended this place to my friends. I love the arts they had on the wall, and the artists seem to be kids. Overall, I'd recommend this place!

Never been so disrespected in my life. I was there for about 3 hrs and they made me pay extra for their inconvenience and on top of that my hair wasn’t done right. I was just in a hurry to get out of there because it was Easter Sunday. If you are black don’t go there, this guy Michael will try to mansplain why your hair costs $150 more than the set price. I’m an engineer and he really tries to explain to me how numbers work

I felt compelled to review as a black woman with very fine kinky curly hair. This is the ONLY salon I am comfortable getting my hair done. I flew from out of state for two years to get my hair done here specifically. I’ve never felt comfortable getting my hair done ANYWHERE else. Highly recommend to women of ALL hair types. Just communicate and be up front with what you’re looking for. My hair is the healthiest, longest, prettiest AND straightest it’s ever been. It also looks amazing curly, I just find my straight hair easier to manage. Aside from the phenomenal quality of work, everyone who works here is a genuinely wonderful human being. I will never go anywhere else ? Attached is a photo of my hair freshly done today.

I was so happy to find a salon within minutes from my house! Antonia did an amazing job at listening to me about my hair and following through with exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't even sure of what I wanted. She read my mind! I got a haircut and color from her and enjoyed both experiences. She was a pleasure to hang out with for a couple of hours! The salon was super welcoming as well and really took their time to accommodate you. I will definitely recommend this salon to others looking for something in the area!

This review is a little delayed and is regarding an experience I had last year. I was hoping to make a "big" change and had been wanting to donate and shop off my hair for a sometime. With my birthday coming up and the hot Arizona summer's, it seemed like a perfect opportunity! At this point, I had not had a regular hairstylist/salon and was on the hunt f or a local spot. Schwahn was super close to me, Women-Owned and had great reviews, so I decided to book an appointment. I was also excited about their promo offer on Yelp app check in. $10 for $20. Upon arrival, they had me fill out a questionnaire, with details on my hair type, my hair routine, what I was looking for, products, upkeep etc. I LOVED this, I thought this detail and extra step was so needed and valuable for an experience. Especially when making such a drastic change. Though I know what I wanted, I do lean into the expertise of the hairstylist to guide me on what makes the most sense for my texture and lifestyle. They have an light booth for before and after pictures, which I also found to be a nice touch. The chair manner was great and I was comfortable, enjoyed the conversation and experience. They even sent me home with a few samples of their products to test out and determine what I liked along, which I thought was lovely. I ended up getting about 21 inches cut off and overall, enjoyed the experience. i did request a much different style for the finished look, a bit more tousled and natural to how my hair would be on a day to day, but did receive a more sleek and streamlined look. IT was still lovely, but definitely not what I was initially wanting. At the end, when I went to check out, they would not honor the Yelp promo, and said they would just do it next time....Which sort of defeats the purpose. I did not purchase ahead of time, as I was unsure if they honored multiples or if there was a limit, but in the end it didn't make a difference. The initial price point on their website was $50 and the total for my haircut and blow out ended up being around $80- $100 before tip. I was a little surprised and felt that should have been communicated, but I digress. The overall experience was lovely, and the extra steps/details they take are nice, There were a few things that could have made the experience better, but I still was happy with the final product.

Was referred to Allie and could not be happier! Making an appointment online was super simple. When I arrived to the salon, I was greeted at the front desk and immediately offered water. She even asked if I wanted cold water or room temperature! I was asked to fill out a quick questionnaire. On it, they ask if you'd prefer a social experience or a quiet relaxing one. I talk all week long for work so I was thrilled that I could just sit and relax for the hour! Allie came and greeted me right on time. She was so friendly! She took her time asking what results I was hoping for. She did an amazing scalp massage during my shampoo. And then really took her time on the cut. She did a blow dry and styled my hair. She let me know I could call her directly if after leaving, I wasn't satisfied for any reason and needed a touch up. As soon as I got home, I texted all my other friends recommending Schwan and Allie. I can't wait to go back to get my hair colored. Thank you again for an amazing experience!

My stylist was Antonia. Very pleased with her personality and the hair cut. Also she was helpful on why my silver hair was turning yellow and gave me helpful suggestions. I will return. The staff was also very pleasant.
