Kurt, is the Man, if you want to know about staining and sealing. Nice and customer oriented.

High end equipment at a fair price, large wood selection of local to exotic woods at a fair price as well.

I like these guys. Always helpful when I come in and there is a huge selection.

Went in to get some pieces of walnut... after picking out the wood the attendant said the "owner" had a policy that any off cuts were to be no shorter than 36 inches... went out and picked another another piece so I can have my 2 pieces and he then said the "owner" also had a policy that they could only do 1 cut per wood species and said he would recommend I go to Woodworker Source. This is absolute garbage and will definitely be going to a competitor from now on.

Great place to buy hardwoods and sheet goods. They also sell tools and anything you need for a wood project. I highly recommend them. I shop there a few times a month.

Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff and a really great selection of wood. Always want to buy more than the budget allows!

The good: employees during the week are good and typically attentive. Good selection of wood, with ok prices. The two younger guys there try and help you out and the selection of wood there is pretty good. The bad is the weekend personnel are pretty bad. The girl with the colored hair who I’m assuming is related to the owner is less than helpful. We wanted a better look at some premium hardwood on an upper shelf and she actually told us that the store was closing in an hour and I should come back during the week when the employees could help us better. She was not helpful at all, virtually knows nothing about wood and was barely able to get her attention away from her cell phone. Not sure why they employ her, and after seeing other reviews I don’t understand why she still is employed there. Like others said, she’s just a waste. To the owner: you have the potential to have a great store there. Not sure why you allow workers who are inattentive and lack customer service skills. If you’re going to charge premium rates for the wood then you have to have employees who can answer basic questions on wood types, and who aren’t rude to the customers.

Lots of knowledge and employees that care. Good selection of lumber, if you have the ability to mill it yourself.

I've always loved browsing specialty lumber stores selling hardwood and high-quality hardwood-veneered sheet goods. This store does not disappoint. They will cut products to your dimensions for a nominal charge.

The best spot in the valley, hands down, to purchase high end tools, machinery, and anything else you may need to run a woodworking shop. I've been a loyal customer for 5 years and they treat me like family. Thank you Kurt!

When you come, there are two stores. one for wood, one for tools. The tool store, without a doubt, is 5 stars all the way. The wood store earned the one star. The wood store is plastered with signs everywhere about "no digging" and other nonsense. They literally expect you to buy garbage rather than find a decent piece. Especially for the prices they charge, dig away and find something decent. The employees are what make it an awful place. There is one guy there that is actually courteous and professional, but the girl with the colored hair makes it a point to be rude. She literally puts for extra effort to treat you poorly. The guy with the dark beard looked right at me while I was walking to the register, saw I was ready to check out, didn't say a word and went back to playing on his phone as was the colored hair girl. The only employee actually helping was the younger guy. My guess is they are family members of the owner and feel they can't be fired. Extremely unprofessional and rude as a whole. Rather than address the problems with the store they just put up another sign and blame the customer. Fix your store. There's a difference between being in business for 40 years, or whatever, and being in business 1 year, 40 times. I always try to support small businesses (as I myself own one) but this company is literally trying to sell garbage and most of the employees have no sense of professionalism. Treat customers right, get off your phones, quit being rude, quit trying to sell me garbage, I'm going to dig for decent pieces (if I ever come back to your store). Also, watch out for people when you're driving the forklift. Quit blaming customers for your short comings in the store.

As in the previous post 2 weeks ago, this business lacks just about everything. I stopped by the hardwood side today. As I pulled into the parking lot, both building park lots were empty. Almost left thinking the place was closed. Walked in and immediately noticed I was the only customer. The 2 employees at the register were involved in some sort of conversation. They finished as I stood at the entrance trying to get my bearings. The older male employee walked away and the blue colored hair female simply went to her cellphone. I walked around for a few minutes, passing the front counter several times. Each time, ignored by the female who was still typing on her cellphone. The signage about no digging and no more than looking at 5 pieces/sheets down are an absolute joke. The older gentleman walked by me several times, never asking if he could help in some way. I know wood prices are high but this place is ridiculous. Selection is not very good and of what they do have, not many to choose from. Some of the species I checked out were leftovers that nobody wanted. I left with an impression of no professionalism, employees could care less there was a customer inside and they far less interested in selling wood than playing on the cellphone. I will not return

Very cool store, they have a large selection of used and consigned equipment. I found a Millers Falls egg beater drill here on consignment in nice condition - been looking for one of them for several years.

Went in for a tool repair - the service was superb and our tool is fixed! We also had great customer service from Brian who listened to a need and showed us a new tool to do it with ... Excellent service all around!

Awesome selection of hardwoods, and the best price you're going to find. I highly recommend Timber Woodworking.
