This place used to be so alive and lovely to step into.
Don't work here unless you enjoy being made to feel less than human. Safeway isn't the same. I'm sure there's better places to send yourselves, spouses, or kids to work

A dependable grocery retailer is unfortunately slipping. I know it's inventory month, but items out of stock is unacceptable... especially products advertised as on sale. They'll of course provide U with a rain check slip.
Problem, who knows when the item will be available.

All of the cashiers there are amazing. I have never met nicer people there then the cashiers and baggers. But the mangers who run the front end do nothing but sit around in their phones or sit and talk to each other with the manger wide open visibly doing nothing. And by visibly doing nothing I noticed the computers are never on. The lines end up wrapping around the store and the self checkout lines are backed up too but the women mangers just sit and laugh and talk and do nothing about how crazy the lines are. I understand being short staffed but shouldn't that mean you get off you butt in the office and work? As a former Safeway manger myself, this is unacceptable because it only hurts the customers and unfortunately paints safeway in a negative light to the community. It's no wonder why this store is always hiring because who would want to work for mangers in the front end like them? I watched a mother struggle with her three young children trying to bag her groceries and help the cashier while the mangers sat and watched. Totally unbelievable behavior. It's a shame this neighborhood store has turned out this way.
