Anemic selection. Lazy, snarky employees. I only went because it's close to my house, but proximity isn't worth the crap offerings in both product and personnel. I am happy to drive further for a better shopping experience.

Dana-you are my hero! Dana checked my groceries today and I inadvertently left my key sitting there on the cash stand, I assume. When I got out to my car and couldn't find my key I panicked! When I went back inside I asked an employee-looked like a meat dept guy, if there was a lost and found. He pointed me in the right direction and I was reunited w my key!! So thankful for everyone!s help! You guys are the BeST!! Thanks again oro valley Safeway!!

Top notch service. Always quick to refill a prescription, with text notification when medication is ready for pick up and the total cost, so there are surprises when you pick up the item. Flu shots and other vaccinations are a breeze, with little or no wait. Superior service all the time. Pharmacists will always patiently answer questions, and on several occasions they walked me to shelved items so I selected the correct OTC item and stayed with me to answer my questions.

They are wonderful. All the pharmacists and assistants are so welcoming, and deferential like the days of old fashion neighborhood pharmacists which had a personal and sincere care for your well being. The Safeway pharmacists at First and Tangerine are not stoic or impersonal but quite the opposite - friendly, and willing to go out of their way to make sure you are able to get your prescription in a timely manner. Their personable attitude is so unique today; they just make you feel they are truly your neighborhood pharmacists like the days of old when I grew up. In other words it's not just a job to them but a loving vocation to care for others!

Groceries are very good but checkout is terrible! At 10 am this morning only 2 lanes were open for checkout with long lines. Checkout workers had no one to help them bag groceries. The self checkout was full which is a pain and frustrating to use. Not shopping at Safeway anymore:(

A great place to go grocery shopping. They have a great wine selection and an exceptional bakery. You can save money if you sign up for their card.

High prices typical of Safeway stores all over Tucson. It's a large store and will take a fair amount of time to shop thru it. You would be better served to find a BASHAS' grocery. Prices are better there with the same quality produce.

I am 70 years old. My wife and I went in for a Shingrix vaccination and we both have Medicare and supplemental insurance. I made an online appointment and filled out the required health forms online to get the appt. We get to the pharmacy for our appt. and the girl tells us the forms are only good the day you get the shot so we filled them out for nothing. Why even have a required online form when you make an appt if it's not good when you get there? Secondly the girl told us the copay would be over $300 for the shots for the two of us. I knew that was wrong but the girl argued with me that it was right. She said my insurance rejected it which I knew was wrong. To make a long story short she came back later and said there would be zero cost. Had I not argued with her I would have paid over $300 for nothing. The techs are apparently not trained on running multiple insurances so be careful how much you are charged. There was a young girl substitute pharmacist there that day and I told her about the incident. Her cavalier response was oh well it's all ok now isn't it? I wonder how many people are being overcharged here and don't even know it because the people running your insurance are totally incompetent?

Went to Safeway today, spent $118 and expected to get 14 Monopoly Tickets. I was told they were out. I need two more tokens to get $10 reward. You advertise that the game is on until May 4th. I want my 14 tickets so I can get my $10 reward. I also did not get all the items I paid for today. Am missing two packages of donuts. The ink is out on the cash register slip and it is very difficult to read the items I purchased. Not a good day today at Safeway.
