Very unprofessional. The cashier ran out of plastic bags so instead of grabbing a new roll of bags he asked me to bag my own groceries and even told me to push the button so the groceries would go down the conveyor belt. He also refused to help the poor elderly man in front of me. There were 3 other employees up front just standing around and they were more interested in joking around with the cashier than doing their jobs.

Pathetic. 7pm they had 0 cashiers. They force the customer to do their work for them for zero compensation in self checkout.. Borderline illegal forced labor just so the boss can vacation more. The cost of a cashier is included in every item in the store. If you charge us for a cashier and don't give us a cashier, that sounds like fraud. You all are horrible.

Every Safeway in Arizona but this one in Oracle valley, makes fresh ordered deli sandwiches while you wait. It's one of the reasons I go to Safeway to get a freshly now made sandwich for lunch. I asked for a sandwich and was told they're over in the refrigerated department. Downright rude. Went over to the refrigerated area: refrigerated, smashed down Saran wrapped sandwiches. 2 left made earlier in the morning. Totally unappetizingđ¤Ź....It's called laziness on the part of the Safeway deli workers. The thing is they weren't busy. Guess it's too much work to make them like the other Safeways freshly ordered. Shame on you Safeway.

WARNING TO SHOPPERS Never leave the store without checking your receipt. The clipped coupons are often not paired with your account and youâll pay the regular, higher price. They will refund your money after you stand in line at customer service, but buyer beware. This is a recurring problem.
Moreover, if someone, especially a senior, does not own an expensive iPhone or actually just any patron, figuring out the âclipâ system and its various options, is an almost impossible task. If you are not smart enough the shopper is subject to paying the non-discounted price, while the next IPhone-owner in line obtains a discount for the same product. This week, the SAME pizza is sold for $2.99, $4.99 and $6.99. But, you have to be computer savvy and know how to work the Safeway âclipâ system. Good luck with that.
At Walmart, shoppers pay the same price for the same item, no iPhones or fancy âclippingâ involved there, and no long refund lines similar to Safeway's customer service--- where you plead your case, receipt in hand, and explain how you were again just overcharged. It happens ALL the time.
Remember what President Reagan said: Trust, but verify.

The âwomanâ working the gas station shift on September 25, at 11:30 am. Is the rudest, person at this Safeway. I spend, only around 600.00 a month there , as I shop using their weekly adds
. After wanting to purchase gas, and use my rewards points on this day. It required some assistance at the pump. As it would not take my rewards. So I asked this âwomanâ putting in her time to help. At my stage of life, I do not take attitude from anyone. After her little backside , troublesome, attitude of having to help. I decided I wasnât going to play into her nonsense of aggressive attitude to school me. So I told her to forget it. I was not going to get gas, and That I was headed inside to let management know. I will not be back to shop in this location again. There are way to many options to spend my money at. And with employees like her. I will choice other locations, to spreed my money. And cheer! Good bye SafewayâŚâŚ

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Their online services were hacked and an order was placed on our account. We canceled the order before it was delivered but they still delivered it to a different state. When we disputed it they lie to use and say itâs be refunded. Then after three months weâre told we have to work with everyone from the bank to a different department because âthey donât handle fraud.â If you like companies who refuse to take responsibility for there problems then this is the one for you. Next review will be with the better business bureau. So sad that they have lost a customer over an issue they could have solved before it even happened.
Just to add to their awful customer service I did as their response asked and sent an email. Well that did nothing but get me no response back. Shocking how bad this place is and how they do not care about customers and doing whatâs right.

Have been a customer here for many years (10+) I've only had to return 2 items that were unopened and it was within hours of buying them, with that being said, Irma who has helped me both times is incredibly unpleasant, rolling her eyes as if I was bothering her. Very disappointing.

The curbside pickup associates and process seems very dysfunctional. It seemed as my items were bagged in a hurry without any proper care, organization, and I've had missing items. It was a time consuming process, the associates were rude, not polite and unprofessional to say the least. I had brought to a managers attention and all she stated was " I'm sorry that happened to you" Wow, another bad link in your chain... I'll find better curpside services down the street!

The new discount programs are confusing, the store in general is very expensive. I do like the people that work there though, always nice and helpful.

The papa cantellas sausage they force upon customers is an abomination, the bakery is great sometimes but 50% of the time it is garbage due to bad proofing and the baker not taking into account a slow rise and waiting longer. The deli only carries low end ekrich bologna.
