Kudos to Wahweap Marine Service Center for getting to the bottom of my Mercury Outboard fuel starvation issue. My houseboat 115 Merc was idling rough, stalling and completely unreliable. After replacing fuel filters, fuel lines and even the old fuel tank, I was stumped. Made an appointment with Wahweap Marine. They hooked up a laptop and within 10 minutes correctly diagnosed a defective Fuel Supply Module. I was stunned they had the part on the shelf and within an hour the new FSM was installed, tested and the engine ran perfectly. The techs at Wahweap Marine Service Center are well-trained and very knowledgeable. Their yard is enormous and easily accommodated my 12’x36’ houseboat without issue. I can’t thank them enough for finally resolving my fuel issue.

Our just serviced boat broke down at first launch - over heating and misfiring. We looked around to see who serviced a Volvo engine. Called Wahweap boat shop and they were friendly and told us to bring it in. We took it right over and Jen helped us with paper work - a mechanic looked at it immediately. She told us to take off and she would call us later with update. The update later that day was - it’s running rich it could be a sensor we need to have the mechanic do more testing and it might need a part we will let you know. At this point we were “great they are on it”! The next day we stopped by and a totally unfriendly Jen said “we won’t have anyone look at your boat today and probably not tomorrow either”. Confusing as they knew we were on a family vacation with no boat? And their indications the day we brought it in was let ‘s get this fixed for you! On day three we went and picked up boat no other work had been done since the first day! We paid and left Lake Powell early! I wish they had been upfront on that first day - we might have been able to take it somewhere else - who knows!
