We stayed at Lake Powell Resort to explore the stunning attractions nearby, and the experience was fantastic. The resort itself is huge, offering a wide range of activities and amenities to keep visitors entertained. We booked the Antelope Canyon boat tour directly through the resort, which was an absolute highlight of our trip.
The boat tour took us deep inside the canyon, where we were truly amazed by the breathtaking natural formations—nature’s artistry in its purest form, far more stunning than we ever imagined. It was an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I'm very conflicted in writing up this review. I think everyone should just skip the boat rentals until they figure out what's going on with all of their old boats.
We rented a small houseboat months ago for a family camping trip only for it to be canceled DAYS before we were supposed to pick it up. They said boat could not be fixed in time for us to use it. The solution given was some nights to stay at the resort instead. This might work for some but we like to boat out and stay on the beach with some people in tents and others on the boat. No alternative was given to get another boat.
I've been hearing more and more that all the boats are breaking down in the channel or just not available at all. I think its time this company starts accepting that maybe the boats just need to be let go as well.
As unfortunate as everything was, the customer service reps were very kind and straightforward about what had happened. I know its not their fault, but honestly having to rework an entire trip last minute is a bit ridiculous. I worry someone with a temper would not have accepted the reasons. I cant say it enough, I just suggest avoiding the rentals until they get some new boats.

We went to work on a leak on our houseboat. Mike went above and beyond to help is with specific request to get things fixed. Even recommended a few places for additional work. Seriously classy guy. I love Lake Powell! Greatest people in the greatest place!

We ended up having a fantastic time at Lake Powell. Checked out Padre Bay—super cool. Now for Wahweap Marina… the experience was less than stellar.
Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m. (Arizona time). We were there over a half hour early.
We booked our reservation a week in advance and even called to ask questions and confirm everything. We were pleasantly met at the front desk, only to be told that we, in fact, did not have a boat.
They never admitted that they lost my reservation, upon showing them my paid recipt they seemed disgruntled, and handed me paperwork to which I signed for a 21 foot boat.
I was then walked over to a highly distressed 19 foot boat, after showing them that this is the wrong boat, they moved me to a 21 foot. Yay were finally getting somewhere. Now it is 9:30.
We begin the safety checks, and at the very end, they realize they’re unable to find the key.
No problem—let’s find a new 21-foot boat. We go through all the safety checks again on the second boat, only to realize it’s quite low on gas. This would be fine, except boats are supposed to come full or nearly full.
We bring up the issue and are directed to the marina gas station to fill up on them. A kind solution—except now it’s 10:00 a.m.—and the boat won’t hold fuel despite several attempts from the attendant.
The one bright spot here: the really awesome boat attendant walkie-talkied over to the rental office and asked for a third boat. It took a bit. Now it’s 10:30, but we finally got another boat fully loaded with fuel.
After doing another set of safety checks, we’re finally on the water—a little over an hour and a half after our reservation time.
Problems happen with boats all the time. But when you’re spending about a grand for a one-day rental (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.), you expect my experience to be a lot smoother.
The reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is that the final boat was overall okay, and they ended up giving us a $50 gas credit for the inconvenience.

Generator failed at 8am. Called immediately. 3:30pm still waiting with “no ETA”. It’s 103° and as they know we have two infants. I was told “they don’t enough gas” Told them we have 100G we are happy to donate. Massive incompetence. 5th time here. Problems happen but it’s how you handle it. Won’t be back.
Edit-James is a new manager and is a massive asset to the operation. He admits the boats are in pretty rough shape but are currently going through a phased remodel process. He did what he could to make it right and even after offering money back seemed genuinely interested in the flaws in the process. We will be back solely due to this one employee.

We checked in to this office, next to the marina store. They were able to summon a golf cart to assist us in getting our kids, food and supplies to our houseboat.

I recently dined at Latitude 37 at Wahweap Marina and had an exceptional experience. As someone with celiac disease, I was thrilled that the chef crafted a delicious gluten-free grilled chicken sandwich—honestly, the best I’ve ever tasted! The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel well-cared for. Highly recommend Latitude 37 for their amazing food and top-notch service!

WORST BOAT RENTALS IN LAKE POWELL ALL OF THE BOATS ARW BROKEN THEY HAVE 30+ years. And the staff just says it’s normal they are rental boats.
