Cholla Trailhead Camelback Mountain offers a challenging and technical hike, providing a fun and demanding workout for visitors. The trail is approximately 3 miles long, with the first mile being relatively flat, the second mile starting to incline, and the final mile being quite rocky, requiring some scaling and bouldering. Despite the difficulty, the hike is rewarding, with stunning views of the valley and a surprise Christmas tree at the summit. Visitors can expect to spend around an hour to reach the top and 35-40 minutes to descend, leaving them completely exhausted. Proper trail shoes are a must, as the trail involves climbing, bouldering, and balancing. Restrooms and a water fountain are available at the start of the trailhead, but parking can be difficult due to the trail's popularity. The hike is not recommended for those who are uncomfortable with narrow spaces and heights, as the Echo Canyon Trailhead may be a better option. Overall, Cholla Trailhead Camelback Mountain offers a beautiful and challenging outdoor experience for adventurous hikers.
Enjoyed the hike but there were swarming yellow jackets near the summit. Several people were getting stung for we stopped before going through that area.

My friend hiked to the top, she said it was challenging, bolders, rocks, very steep climb.... well worth the view at the top.

An amazing trail— got the heart pumping! I saw several children (6 years and up) trekking it; impressive! Bring your electrolyte drinks.
