Stayed here for a night after flying into town. Nice area, golf courses nearby hide a little bit of the Phoenix sprawl.Check in was friendly. I had one of the basic rooms and it was fine. Felt a little dated…older, smallish tv without a guide, paper thin walls where the neighbors are only a step away, but the water pressure was good and wifi was 85mbps down and 12-14 up so work was doable. Comfortable beds, good towels, quiet as they are the whole neighborhood. I’d stay here again.

Very clean and well kept. Everyone friendly. Nice pool and hot tub. Tennis courts can be used as pickleball. Courts weren’t too busy. Overall it might appear dated but it’s very well maintained and they have major renovation plans for future. Sean does a great job here!

The staff was friendly, but there were more hiccups than expected for a room that cost us $500 a night. The negative experience started at booking, where many of the casita specific offers state that you can get a 2 PM late checkout. When we called to inquire about it the staff told us that it’s actually not easy and most unlikely to be granted when staying in the casitas. We were instructed to keep calling and asking the night of booking, night of our stay, and then the following morning to see if someone would grant it.Normally checking out on time wouldn’t be an issue, but when we had arrived that night and went to settle down, we realized the bed sheets were covered in dirty/stained patches and dog hair.We called the front desk and they said someone would be by with sheets, so we stayed up waiting for around 45 minutes with no delivery. We called the desk again and they had forgotten to get us sheets, so we were unable to get in bed until nearly midnight. Also while waiting for the sheets to be delivered, we found someone’s old toenails clippings were all over the floor near the chair we sat in.At first glance the casita was beautiful, but throughout the night we realized how surface level that seemed to be.The restaurant food was delicious, location of the resort was beautiful, and the bellhops were incredibly helpful, so I’m willing to give them back some stars on that front. But for the price you pay to stay in the casitas, I had much higher expectations overall.

The Scottsdale Plaza Resort offers several attractive features, including luxurious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, world-class amenities such as pools, spas, and golf courses, excellent dining options, attentive service, and a convenient location near popular attractions in Scottsdale, Arizona. It's known for its upscale atmosphere and attention to detail, making it a desirable destination for travelers seeking a premium resort experience.Walkability: It’s a 40 arch lot so the front desk services have to drive you to your room on their golf carts. Of course you can walk but good luck….

I had so much fun playing violin here! I was part of a corporate event and this place is so perfect for any type of event. I have played here a few times for other small parties and the staff here is really amazing. Such a beautiful resort and always so fun being here.

I attended a conference here in 2022 & 2023. The location and parking was easy to access and navigate. The grounds were well kept. The room was comfortable. Hotel staff had two main areas for our group: 1) an outside covered & air conditioned tent where we ate our meals; 2) interior rooms for our breakout sessions. The set up worked great for our group. And the staff were all helpful.

I had a very positive stay here. I stayed on a Saturday night in February. The place was not crowded and the room was clean. The resort is located on 40 acres with lots to do. There are several pools, ping pong, and fire pits on the property. The main pool had a bar and was not crowded. There are restaurants, pools, jacuzzies, and the staff is very helpful. They have golf carts to escort you to your room if needed. They also have a courtesy shuttle to take you anywhere in old town/fashion square. The staff also provided local tips on the best places in Scottsdale. I would highly recommend staying here.Rooms: The room was clean and beds were comfortable.Nearby activities: There is hiking and a shuttle to take you to old town

Hardly ever leave reviews but this place should be ashamed of charging 5 star rates for 2-3 star (at best) for dilapidated accommodations. It’s called a resort but that’s a stretch. It might have been in the 70’s or 80’s. Grounds are vast and the main pool looked nice, but the pool closest to us had a resident goose that called the pool home. Goose poo included. The rooms are outdated and run down. AC and bathroom fans annoying loud, even the neighbors.Last night I thought our AC was on it was so loud but when I checked it was off and coming from next doorFront door, bathroom doors stick, had to slam front door to lock the deadbolt.Had dinner at JD’s lounge. Waited an hour for pizza and braised short ribs. Server said there were 16 pizzas ordered before ours, while my short ribs sat for 30 min? to dry out. Disappointing. Not blaming the server. She was fine. Pizza was ok once we got it. One positive the 4 margaritas I had while waiting were pretty good. Also found it odd they charged my card when I checked in instead when I checked out like most places (I booked direct thru their website )I don’t mind paying top dollar for a nice place to stay but this isn’t even close for what they charge. Sorry, Way out of line.

I have stayed at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort many times over the years, one of my favorite resorts. The resort has three pools, each with a different vibe. I enjoy relaxing poolside and soaking up the sun. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with lush greenery, beautiful cacti, and palm trees. The rooms are clean and spacious, but some could use updating. The furniture and appliances are a bit worn. They have several room "types," and my favorite is the king villa, with the patio. The service has always been exceptional. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and attentive. They make me feel welcome every visit. They have a spa on site, but they never seem to have any massage openings when I have stayed there. Which is a bummer, I hope to get a massage on one of the visits. They have tennis courts, cornhole, ping pong, and other activities available. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Scottsdale.Rooms: They have several options available. It is a large campus with standard size rooms around 300 sq ft, all the way up to private Casitas that are 3,000 sq ft.Safety: Always have felt safe, even walking from the hot tub to my room at night by myself. They have security that patrols throughout the day/night.Food & drinks: There is a gift shop with a full coffee bar and snack. They have a restaurant on site for breakfast/lunch and a bar/lounge for bar food and drinks. They don't have a formal/fancy restaurant on site, but there are several close by.

Our villa was huge. It had two stories, two full bathrooms, fireplace, back patio. This resort is a must stay. The grounds have pools, tennis courts, great food, drinks, a spa and much more.Food & drinks: Room service is excellent. Try the short rib for dinner!
