Overall skilled and reliable auto repair. That alone would give them 4 or 5 stars, but the problem is with their service. Of the 4-5 times they had my car in, the average time per repair was two months, but a few were over 4 months, while my car sat outside unprotected from the elements. Going in and begging didn't get my car out any sooner, either. Everything is at their convenience, not that of the customer.

Poor communication and aside from that we thought this shop was reliable at first but oh boy were we wrong. Front desk girl named Angel keeps promising us our car will be done the day we call. every time we call through out the day she promises us our car will be done by the end of the day. No calls for updates through out the day what so ever until we call 30 minutes before they close and of course she has an excuse on why it won't be done. We don't mind if the car will take days to be finished but stop lying to us telling us it will be done that day when it won't be. it's a waste of our time and plans. Not only that but SHE DOESNT EVEN KEEP US UPDATED ON WHATS GOING ON until we call first. So rude and inconsiderate and may be the worst customer service I've ever had from any place. Today she had an excuse that they sent the guy working on our car home but failed to call us to let us know. Mind you this whole time we're waiting for a call to pick it up since we need our car to commute to work. We had to call 15 mins before they closed just to find out it won't be ready again! Like come on let us know. Stop lying and telling us it will be ready and if that was the case and something came up please call your customers to update them. Extremely frustrating and inconsiderate. THE WORST.

Very Unprofessional! Told my Wife it would be $150 to install an Interlock for our Vehicle make and model. Then when I get there I was given a receipt of 370.78. Which I was prepared to pay once my boss showed up. Being it was more then what we were told originally. I scheduled my appointment for an Interlock Install 10 days ago. They rescheduled my appointment later that day after already confirming the date, and time with me. So I was okay with the new appointment date. My family lives in Tonto Basin, so today was my appt , and My wife and I go to pick up our 7 year old from school (early mind you) she still had another 1 1/2 hours left of school. We all waited in the heat, and in actuality they waisted all of our time. My wife’s, 2 daughters 7 yr, and 11 weeks. I was told I waisted there time, and got 8eighty 6sixed (kicked out) for absolutely nothing at all. My boss forgot his wallet when he showed up and we were explaining that to the employees at Coyote Auto. They turn around and say they will have to reschedule my appointment, I explained how that wasn’t gonna work that my boss was going to get form of payment, and be right back. (The lady at the front desk said install takes 30 minutes, they never installed it. Asked for payment, and told me to walk off because we couldn’t pay right that second) The guy wouldn’t give me his name said I didn’t deserve it, and was just very unprofessional towards me. I told him about getting in touch with corporate office, and they gave me the police departments number. Said he knows everyone in town, and I am from Payson. Was born & raised here. Most of my family and their kids live in Payson. I am a phoenix Suns fan and had a ball cap on with there logo. Maybe a stereotype? Idk . I don’t suggest going here! ? I have worked very hard to get my license back, spent thousands towards fines, and installing the interlock today meant getting my license back today as well.

I would give 0 stars but in order to do a review I guess it needs to have atleast one. This place has no sense of communication or respect. Had an appointment for 2pm to do an install. Arrived 10 minutes early. After 30 minutes of waiting for a final price which was 100+ dollars over the price quoted over the phone the payment was asked for before the service was started. That was an issue but the payment was left at home and could have been grabbed during install. The technician or whoever it was because they decided not to give a name said they could no longer do a 30 minute job and proceeded to get unprofessional. I do not recommend doing business here unless you want someone who doesn't care about anything other than themselves. The owner of the shop will be hearing of this as well as the BBB.

We got stuck with a broken shift linkage. Took forever for the tow truck, but Coyote got us right in and out again in about 30 minutes at a decent cost. Staff were very friendly too.

Our Lexus broke down 30 miles east of Payson. The vehicle was towed to Payson and we chose Coyote Auto since they were recommended by another auto repair shop in Payson. The vehicle was dropped off in the very late afternoon. Coyote had the repair complete the very next morning. So glad we chose Coyote Auto. It ended up being the radiator cap. They replaced the cap, drained and replaced the coolant, and then pressure tested. Back on the road quickly with a great repair job at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend Coyote Auto.

We were on our way to Overgaard when the car overheated just 10 miles out of Payson, Az. The tow truck driver suggested this mechanic and said he was reliable. He called Coyote Auto and the owner said to bring it in and he'd check it to make sure we didn't break anything else. He was able to fix my Xterra and we were on our way. From the towing company and the mechanic we got nothing but the best. Thank you for your courtesy and honesty.

Our family was on the way up to camping when the radiator ys in the hoses cracked. Could make it more then 10 mins before the van would keep overheating. 1 hour before they closed we got ahold of them and they got us in. We had 6 kids with us and where over 100 miles from home. These guys went above and beyond letting the kids watch TV In their lobby, and staying 2 hours after their closing time just to help us! They were super friendly never rude, patient and just all around good ppl. They deserve more then 5 stars ?

Called to see if they could take a look at my truck which had over heated...and I was having it towed into Payson.
Danny said bring it in...so the tow truck dropped it off and we had driven up from Prescott after having to leave it over night on the side of the road. Danny put a service tech on it right away..diagnosed it as needing a new thermostat. The repair was made within 2 hrs and we were headed back to Prescott. These guys and shop rock. Fair price for the work and got me back on the road fast. I highly recommend Coyote Auto!

Scammers. Took my van in to get an allignment and new tires. They put on the new tires, but told me they couldn't do an allignment becsuse my entire front end had to be rebuilt. My van is my house, and the temperature was rising in payson so out of necessity I had to leave and went to flagstaff. Just took it in to get checked and get an allignment and NOTHING had to be replaced on my front end for them to do the allignment. Paid 173 dollars for an allignment at a shop in flagstaff (ascot auto) opposed to coyote who told me I needed 5000 dollars worth of work before they would do an allignment.

We were having issues with our oil pressure light on the way to Heber. We called them and they got us in right away, they fixed the issues, and we were back on the road in less than 2 hours. Great experience!

Our Yukon was giving us a low pressure light on our way camping. We called, and they said they knew what it was, and they could get us in right away. They fixed the few things that were causing the issue. And we were back on our way in less than 2 hours.
