Update: in response to the "manager's" reply to my review, Friday November 1st, 2024 at 2pm. The lady working your front desk told me her manager just left for the weekend if she called him to assist me, she would be fired. And there was absolutely nothing she could do to help. Period. Figure out who is giving your customers this information because I guarantee I'm not the only one.
Front desk employees are hampered from providing any sort of simple, logical, decision in any circumstance, without manager approval. Even clearly logical decisions are AGAINST the rules. Decisions based upon common sense. Simple, FREE (ZERO) cost!, common sense decisions are not allowed to be made by employees of this hotel. Not without
manager approval and the manager... you guessed it... is not available... Not now... not in 4 hours. And she is not allowed to call him or she will get fired. She literally said that. Anyway. Do what you want but don't say I didn't want you.

Stayed for 1 night only. First (deluxe room) had a lot of food in the fridge, so they gave us a 2nd room, (right next door!) which ended up having a ton of pet hair as well as some human hair across the bedding under the pillows which made us want to leave entirely, but it was 9:00 at night by then. So we gathered our stuff up ‘again’ and they gave us a 3rd room which was on a different side of the building. We knew we didn’t want the same housekeeper. It was ok, (dim and gloomy) but this hotel looks better from the highway. So many repairs not made and not updated one bit. After all the inconvenience of moving twice they only discounted $60. To me the room wasn’t worth more the $60 or $70 to begin with. Will never stay there again. If I hadn’t deleted photos that were showed to the front desk I’d be adding them all right now. Would have helped future travelers.

Dont stay here unless you absolutely have too. Lots of sketchy people. Staff swears and look like they are on drugs too. Oh and the "breakfast" is ridiculous. They hand youna bag and the only thing we ate was the juice. Everything else has "for institutional use only" on it

When I first checked into the hotel for earlier check in I was given a room that was still dirty. No biggie there as I asked the front desk woman to have someone go down and clean it, which she did. Once my room was then cleaned I was able to get in, get ready and get to my job. Once back from my shift, I got in showered and got into bed. It wasn’t until 11pm where I thought I heard my door trying to be opened but I played it off thinking I was paranoid. About 15 minutes later, my door was opened. Luckily I used the door stopper which prevented them from entering my room. Shortly after, Stephanie knocked and informed me I was in someone’s room… I was in the room I was initially assigned at check in at 2pm earlier in the day, how could I be in someone else room? While i understand my room was listed as vacant, still think it’s a bit crazy someone was just able to open my door. I was given an apology but still thought the overall situation was not handled correctly. As a single woman traveling for work, this was an extremely scary situation. I wanted to have a good experience but unfortunately I was unable to sleep the rest of the night. For future reference, I would hope front desk would think to call to the room instead of working with the other guest to barge in the room. I had given Stephanie a call back to the front desk after this had settle just to reconfirm she was the one who helped open it and not someone else. Overall, wish I had a better experience and I cannot recommend this place if you are traveling as a single woman.

The room I was given smelled strongly of cigarettes and there was a cup of smoked butts outside the back door. I asked if any rooms might not smell like cigs, the desk person said "...no," but she gave me a new room. This room also smelled like cigarettes and the back door didn't close securely (making me worried to keep my belongings in the room), but I didn't want to fuss any more.
PROS:
-The room itself is huge, the bathroom is nice and clean, and the shower pressure is great.
-Breakfast selection is good (eggs, sausage, bagels, fruit, cereal, yogurt).
CONS:
-The gym, pool, and laundry were all unavailable (long term) and should NOT be advertised online.
-The fridge froze everything inside and there is no temp control.
-The coffee maker only produced about 1/4 cup of coffee, sounded broken.

This motel is old and needs a renovation but I suppose if they did that it wouldn’t be one of the cheapest stays in town.

Michelle at the front desk is awesome. She found a last minute room for us and our two dogs after an emergency left us unexpectedly stranded in Payson.
The hotel property has a lot of green space for walking dogs. We'd stay here again if we pass through Payson with the pups.

The real 5 star is Russ!!! We were traveling from KC to Phoenix. It was 1;30 am and we need to sleep. Every hotel in Payson wanted to charge us $225 or more. Russ was happy to help us and on the phone said he could do $150. We arrived and he was fun and eager to help us. He discounted the room to $131!! He joked with us and made a long stressful day much better.
The room was clean and the beds super comfortable. We got a good night sleep and left promptly at check out.
I do have to say the customer service at check out was disappointing. I tried to complement Russ and the lady made a face and said “really?”
Maybe you do that in front of a customer while they complement a coworker of your business.
Thanks Russ we owe you!!!

The hotel definitely needs to be updated. However, the customer service and the.Employees are very nice. It's in a good location , but really needs some work. This is definitely not anything to do with the employees.

we came for 4th of july and stayed 4 nights . The pool and hot tub were out of service the entire time. the hot tub was empty of water and filled with dirt . the hotel keys didn’t work every single day we had to go into the office to have them correct it. the free breakfast was ok. waffles, bagels , eggs , sausage & cereal . the one lady at the breakfast place kept shooting me dirty looks idk why. the outside of the hotel is dumpy looking but the inside of the room was nice . i probably wouldn’t stay here again .

Booked online from jul 5-7, check-in was fine, although they had a baseball team staying in house, requested they put us away from them as we figured their kids. their loud . Nope sticks us in the room next door. 1st night we get an 11:30 pm wakeup from, then a knock on the door at midnight ! Asked front desk for some towels, got a prompt No, we dont do that here ! You can bring your dirty towels to the front desk and exchange them.
I paid just under 500$ for 2 nights in a dated falling apart room, with 1/2 the advertiised amenities unavailable ! You got 2 stars because the room was clean and didnt smell !

Yes it's older, but it's kept up and the landscape is beautiful. I'm a flight attendant for a airline and stay at four star hotels. Trust me this place is far cleaner then most of them. The manger April and Michelle are so kind and welcoming and the free breakfast is great also. We have family in Payson and come up often and have not been disappointed yet, but fix the pool.
Rooms: Very clean
