Safeway in Payson is a convenient and friendly grocery store offering a wide variety of services. It features a deli with made-to-order items and party trays, a bakery with customizable cakes, and a produce department full of fresh fruits and vegetables. The store provides helpful pharmacy staff and multiple shopping options like Order Ahead pick-up, Grocery Delivery, and DriveUp & Go™. While slightly smaller than some competitors, many find it easy to navigate and it offers useful features like Apple Pay. The attached gas station provides good prices. Reviews note the store is generally clean and well-kept with friendly staff, though it can be very busy with long checkout lines. Some shoppers mention that Safeway costs more and that empty displays or out-of-stock specials can be frustrating.
We love the Deli chicken wing bar and have often bought them for lunch. The last three times we've been very disappointed, because someone is frying them until they're crispy critters. They are fresh, because the bins are recently filled, but so over-cooked and hard!

I have to say that this is one of the cleanest and friendliest stores around. My cashier today was Desy who always has an upbeat attitude with a great personality plus she has killer nails. It's always a pleasure shopping here since I moved here a month ago.
