I've tried to step away from Walgreens and CVS and stick with private pharmacies due to issues over the last several years and customer service lacking. However, recently I could only find my medication at this location 2 hours away from where I live. Amber was excellent in coordinating with me to ensure that I could obtain my prescription. She was eager to help in anyway possible I cannot say enough about her customer service skills and professionalism.

What is going on in the pharmacy? You go to pick up prescriptions after you have been called that they are ready and wait in line only to find out 1 script is ready. The other will be ready the next day or you wait a long line only to find out your doctor has denied the refill!!You have always been good about the status of our scripts. And the lines inside and outside are 30 minutes long.whatis going on?!!

The beautiful and helpful lady manager Aaron is great. As is James, young Gronkowski and the rest of the staff. Awesome people, kind and helpful.

I have no idea what is going on at this Walgreens, but the pharmacy closes at odd hours with no notice. Today, I got in drive thru line at 3:42 pm with 2 cars in front of me. It was my turn and they dropped the blinds and didn't say anything to me. Saw the small sheet of paper on the window that they are closing at 4pm. It was exactly 4pm! How about posting that so we can see it before waiting in line!

Worst customer service in the pharmacy I've ever experienced. Had an 8:45am appt for a shingles vaccination and they don't open until 9am! Then had to wait 30 min. for pharmacist to get it together. Meanwhile 6 people in line waiting for prescriptions while 5 employees ignored did them while doing "busy work". They use the excuse of being short staffed. It's like this every time I come in.

Most of the people posting bad reviews have no idea how a pharmacy operates behind the scenes. Its not just handing you your pills, theres so much work involved to keep it running that they struggle to find the time for when patients are coming nonstop, along with keeping up with the high volume of prescriptions this pharmacy is being overloaded with everyday. People have no idea how underpaid and poorly treated the staff is by both corporate and their patients. So yes, they dont always have the biggest smiles on their faces because they are struggling with their health and mental health while trying to help you with yours. I can guarantee that they are working their butts off every single minute to keep up with the demand of a snobby entitled retirement town where 99% of people are on medications. They fill hundreds of new rxs and refills a day and that number is going up as more people move herea and more people become dependent on meds instead of bettering their health naturally. Cut them some slack and be grateful that there are even enough WORKERS here to keep the pharmacy open. They deal with abuse from narcotic addicts and abuse from incoherent ungrateful elderly patients on a daily basis. Some patience, kindness and understanding of the situation goes a LONG way for workers struggling to support the demand of a (not so) small town full of people who dont work as well as a VERY large % of addicts hooked on opiods and controlled substances. I can guarantee theyre doing their best not to rage quit every single day. And if they quit, good luck on getting your medications. So be KIND and PATIENT. You wait patiently at your drs office, pharmacies are an extension of healthcare and deserve that same respect and patience.

I decided to shop at Walgreens after reviewing their website which stated they offered a makeover. No, but they had a girl in that department and she was amazing she took her sweet time helping me search for a number of items I wanted and this review would be very different if it was about her. I took my cart of $111 of goodies and wrote a check which was declined. I drove 4 miles home to call Wells Fargo and to verify it had been declined and what can you do to help me? Her response “it’s not on our end it’s Walgreens”. When I left Walgreens I specifically said to the manager ‘please set this aside I’m going to resolve this my name is Debra’, I returned to the store to find everything has been put back on the shelves. I lost it I said ‘I specifically asked you to set it aside for me. Her response ‘we have protocols there was ice cream in there.’ Fine, remove the ice cream and leave everything else I spent a half an hour picking out.I will not shop there again for this very reason - “I don’t do stupid”. There were so many things wrong with this interaction you have to just walk away and write a review.

My prescription was sent in on the 19th a.m.,why would take 2 days to tell me I have to call my doctor change my prescription to a different pharmacy. This is the third time my medication has been delayed over 24 hours, but at least the first 2 times they told me before I ran out of something I have to take daily. Weak. Work on communicating with your customers. You're not the only pharmacy in town.

2.9 stars is so overrated, unless maybe none of those reviews experienced the pharmacy. Frankly, I have never had a good experience there, but most times it’s just below average, not terrible…until 2 nights ago. After being told over the phone that we (me, my wife and 80 year old mother) could walk into Walgreens anytime for a shingles vaccine, we were turned away and told to make an appointment. Annoyed, we left and made appointments for the next day. We showed up 15 minutes early for our appointments and were told they could not honor our appointments and to come back tomorrow. Yeah right! Like I’m driving another 40 miles round trip to most likely be refused service again. Of course I’m now upset and asking what is the point of an appointment? The young lady that helped us was actually nice and obviously embarrassed that what appeared to be the manager kept sending her out to tell us no, no, no while he stared at a monitor doing nothing. He finally came out from hiding and was a total j**** Then another tech started chiming in, “it’s not our fault, call corporate, they are the ones that won’t hire anyone to help us”. These 2 knuckleheads are the epitome of customer DISSATISFACTION! Actually they are the epitome Customer ELIMINATION. We will never spend a red cent at Payson Walgreens. If you look at my other reviews , they are almost all positive. I like to recognize great service and rarely write negative reviews. When I run into less than great service , I usually chalk it up to an employee just having a bad day. However, I also use other people’s reviews a lot before choosing a business to deal with. I know if I read this review, I would steer clear of this place. They have a much larger issue than an employee having a bad day.

If negative stars existed I would gladly give them a negative 5. My first, last, and only time attempting to use this sad excuse of a pharmacy. I called to have a prescription transfered here because another trash pharmacy (Walmart) did not have the medication available. This seems to be par for the course in the back woods inbred town. The person ( I use that word loosely) that answered the phone was rude and condescending. She said and I quote " How am I supposed to know if we have the medicine if you don't know what it's called?" Simple I replied, you can do your job and contact the other pharmacy. I am not a Dr. and I did not prescribe the medicine. I can only hope they close this place down. What good is a pharmacy that does not have pharmaceuticals?

It may be that staff doesn't have proper training or they just don't care enough. When a customer asks you something about items in your store or needs your assistance with something... at the very least, try to help instead of "I don't know anything about that ". For real. You should know how to use a coupon at your store.

Honestly I can't understand why there are so many negative reviews of the pharmacy. My wife and I both have routine prescriptions and so we're there probably once a month for refills as well as vaccinations, etc. We've used this pharmacy exclusively for seven years and have never experienced rude behavior. This pharmacy is BUSY, and the staff is in constant motion, on phone calls, filling prescriptions, working the drive-thru, etc. They don't have time for chitchat or telling jokes, but I've always found them to be incredibly efficient, professional, businesslike, helpful, and patient, in an extremely fast-paced operation with ZERO room for error. I recommend them highly.

The Walgreens in Payson, Az is a joke. There is never a time when you get to the pick up window with just one car before you that you don't get stuck waiting 1/2 hour or more. Hire more people.
