The representative present on November 30th around 5 PM was excellent and provided extremely speedy and thorough diagnostics of my MacBook Pro. The representative explained all things in detail with professionalism. The shop is very clean and well designed!

I have purchased three computers from Mac Media. Each time I get an AMAZING deal! Their customer service is outstanding. There was a small issue with the refurbished Mac Book Pro I bought recently. Not only did they take care of it, they gave me a loner since I work from home on my computer. I will never go anywhere else!

I wish I could give a 0/5 review, please, NEVER take any of your devices over to this location.I had taken my computer over here a few weeks ago, and not only were they completely unable to fix the issue, the computer has been running WORSE because of it. In the past few weeks, it has hard-crashed, overheated, and bluescreened dozens of times, costing me hours upon hours of work.(UPDATE)Even after performing a factory reset, it's still having random resets, leading me to believe they tampered with it internally, though whether the issues are due to incompetence, or deliberate tampering is unknown.

Saved 6 years of work from my laptop. They were able to transfer it all to a new laptop I bought and saved ALL my data from my water damaged laptop. Fast and great customer service. I could not be more thankful for their help.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Always have been. They couldn't repair our laptop but they gave us info for a place that might be able to fix it. Turns out that there was a broken part in the hard drive & it couldn't be repaired nor could anything be retrieved from it. Talk about a hard crash!!! Sure do wish we had stored more in the cloud! We do now!

This place could not help me with iPhone 7 data recovery due to water damage and charged me a $50 diagnostic. That's fine. This review is about what happened when I came in to pick up my phone after the diagnostic. When I dropped my phone off, they told me it likely wouldn't be able to work again after they took it apart. I don't know much about IT, hardware or data recovery, so I was like "ok that's fine, I just care about the data, not the hardware" and let them do their thing. Know this: if you take your hardware into a shop, you should get ALL your parts back without having to ask for it back... When I came back to pick up my phone, expecting to get my full phone back, maybe in parts but at least ALL parts, I was so confused when the kid at the front JUST HANDED ME BACK MY LOGIC BOARD and nothing else. I told the kid no and that I want my actual phone back. He said that all that is needed for data recovery is the logic board. I said no and asked for my hardware back. He went into the back and found my phone thankfully. In a hurry I didn't realize that parts were missing like screws, lens, and the speaker. This industry of hardware/IT service is new to me, but after having been to several of places now, all of them told me that it is unacceptable for a shop to NOT give back all parts. Every shop I've been to after this gave me my hardware back just as I gave it to them, in the same bag and everything, and with detailed notes and handled with care. What I experienced at MacMedia was my first experience with a IT shop like this and I thought that was common to not get all parts back or my fault for signing a waiver, but these other shops I went to say that that is unacceptable. I was thankfully able to get my data recovered at a place in Los Angeles called Image Wireless, that got my phone turned on and data recovered in ONE day. Thankfully I didn't have to go to Drive Savers. The frustrating thing about MacMedia and why I'm writing this review is because all the shops I went to after MacMedia told me that the only way to get your data back is for a shop to have ALL your phone's parts to be able to turn it on again!!! And MacMedia was trying to keep my hardware, acting like I didn't need it, and told me I wouldn't need the hardware only the logic board! Thankfully I asked for it back and got it. I would have been in such worse shape if I didn't get my hardware back. I'm surprised because the store owner seemed like a good guy and honest, but super frustrating that this was my experience. At the very least, customers should be able to trust that they will get all of the same hardware parts back that they came in with....

Was very pleased with the service. Price was competitive and they were able to make the repairs faster than BestBuy and Asurion. Employee was also kind and helpful. Will return and would recommend. ?

The guys I talked to were true geeks and I was instently reassured. I had an old monitor that needed repairs but they explained to me, ernestly, that it was beyond repair. It was, I must admit, 20 years old. They were so kind to me. I did leave it there for recycling which helped me with the "what now" scenario. I will not hesitate to return for advice or repair in any of my apple products now. I will be purchasing renewed apple products from MacMedia/peoria when I need them.

My iMac 21.5" 2017 required a new digital hard drive to be installed. Hayden at MacMedia Peoria was most helpful and the machine was returned to us within 2 days. Excellent service and work. The computer is like a new machine now. We would highly recommend MacMedia to anyone with Mac computer issues

Where do I even begin! Mac media saved the day! I had an issue with my laptop. I'm not very tech savvy so I can‘y give you all of the specifics regarding the type of device, but I think it's a MacBook Pro. In any event, I'd scheduled an appointment at the Apple Store. Don't even get me started with how I had to schedule it a week in advance! Then when I got there, despite the fact that I had an appointment, the wait was ridiculously long. After all of that, I was told that they could not help me at Apple. And that if they shipped it out it would take 14 days. No worries! I learned about MacMedia and found that it was only 1 mile away. When I arrived a wonderful young man named Hayden assisted me. He was able to see me right away with no wait time! He took my laptop and told me that it may take three days. He quoted me a price that was a fee hundred dollars LESS than Apple. I was already impressed. But that wasn’t the BEST part!!! The VERY NEXT MORNING I received a call from Stephen telling me that my device was ready for pickup!!! Can you believe it!!!?!? The price was a little more than what I expected but still much less than Apple and with their rapid turnaround, it was worth every penny.I 100% recommend this location and they have a future customer with not only me but my entire family!Good customer service is better than ANY paid advertisement because I’ve already told more people than I can count about MacMedia! They are the way to go FIRST!

So I purchased an IMac from this place when it opened.. and another Mac laptop several years ago ... and again repairered that IMac and purchased ANOTHER Mac Book Pro two years ago. Fine on its face it may seem I am upset about that ... NO! I went in last week thinking "I need to purchase another computer" Apple / Mac and turbo tax software has out grown the op system! Again, not happy about this but it's kinda how it is.I walk in with my laptop hoping it could have a hardware upgrade and knowing I was going to have to purchase another computer. Well, the kid at the counter was rude, and says "like I told you before ...". Like when the heck did he tell me ? I just walked in? (Perhaps he though I was in or calling in earlier... no, this is my first time in in two years ). So then I am frustrated... I say well what can we do? He says nothing ? Your computer is old and I respond with .. I am just trying to buy a new computer and he says I don't have any computers to sell, just those two and they are and the price was 1200 & 1500 if I recall right. But he said it like get out of here .. you don't want to spend that much money .. That is about what i figured I would spend and that is about what I spent and the apple store 40 minutes later... . ( a pretty woman moment ... but I don't think they care ) I have done business with this place for years !! I am DONE with them. That was rude and they did not care about my needs and just wanted me to go. I was the ONLY customer in that store ... what the heck else does he have to do?? I get that they may do service work and repairs but he wasn't doing that ? Nope .. he was on his phone ! It's a shame, they lost a customer and I have sent about 10 customers at least to them for their support and service because I support local and small business ! Never ever again with this placeI work at a huge employer in the area and word of mouth matters ... shame on this store, it is sad that a customer that just wants to support small business feels like they apparently do not look as if they can afford a $1500 computer... maybe if they looked me up he had known I WAS a loyal customer !
