Would not recommend unless you have 30 extra minutes to spare. Left me standing outside for 10 minutes after ringing the service bell, only to be told after going inside that they couldn't leave the shop since they were the only one there. Find another location or wait for this location to get more workers.

Lock my garage door scanner in the truck. They would not open unless I pay 200 extra bucks I was locked out my house because of this they didn't care. and was over charged for gas. Worst experience with this company. I wish I could get a refund

Simply, worst business experience I've had in years. Accepted then cancelled my fist appt to install hitch. Charged me three times for hitch. Had to bring bank statement to prove it for refunds. Had to return as they forgot to put a bolt in so bumper was off-center by an inch. Never again!!

I used U-Haul's online system to set up an appointment to install a trailer hitch. I paid for the install in advance (in full) and received an email from U-Haul confirming my appointment day/time. When I showed up at this U-Haul store at the appointed time, I encountered an extremely rude customer service staffer who seems to have made it her life's goal to be as unpleasant and unhelpful as possible. She told me that I did not have an appointment, the necessary parts were not in, and that I had ignored an email from U-Haul to set up an appointment - I received no such email. When I informed her that I had in fact received an email from U-Haul confirming my appointment, she told me I would "have to take it up with corporate." I will never frequent this business again. Hopefully, it's not indicative of all U-Haul locations because this customer service experience was beyond terrible.

I have rented U-Haul trucks for moving 3 times in the last two weeks From 19th Ave. and Glendale (for my friend, a oneway rental) also from 67th Ave. and Bethany home rd , both of those U-Haul's are great no problems check in check out no hassles no problems, they know what they're doing. Apparently the U-Haul at 8746 west Bell road Does not know what they're doing. This has been the worst experience ever. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! If I could give it less than one star I would. They charged my debit card three times for the same truck rental. I pre-paid for the truck rental online and they put a hold on your account for the rental ( This amount will change according to the miles you used.when you take the truck back then they will either credit or debit your account accordingly) when I got to the store the employee told me oh well we need your card to complete the rental and I said no I've already paid, I already have a hold on my account from when I rented it online last night. he said well I just need your card to complete the rental, he tricked me, Because he then ran a second charge on my card. Then he said he needed to change the trucks because the truck was parked in too tight and he couldn't pull the truck out that they actually had on hold for me. So he changed the contract with the new truck and brought the paperwork out and it said I was keeping the truck for two days so it was a double charge which he also ran on my card. I told him this contract is wrong I'm not keeping the truck for two days it's double the amount. so he had to go get a third set of paperwork and reprint and fix it. Which was actually also wrong they had my husbands name on there when I had put my son as primary driver and as the name on the contract. He said well it doesn't matter. At this time I had no idea he had been charging my debit card. I discovered this later it was 6 PM and the store stayed open till 7 PM so I went back with my debit card thinking they're going to just run a credit for the two charges that were not supposed to be there and leave the third one till tomorrow when I brought the truck back I'm fine with that. He told me he could not credit my account and the manager left at 4 o'clock and she was the only one that can do a credit to my account, Even though I was triple charged. So I called customer service to see if they could help me After an hour on the phone With Customer Service, They finally talked to the manager so she could come down to the store and credit my account with the two charges. Customer Service actually called her so I can talk to her directly. She told me they could not credit my account until after we turn the truck and the charges fell off at my bank. Customer Service told me 3 to 5 business days I told her this was not acceptable she should just run a credit on my account for the other two charges I told her I was sitting in front of the store and I had my debit card and they could just run a credit for the two charges that were not supposed to be there, she then gave me the option of crediting all three charges and putting in a 4th charge on my card creating a completely new truck rental (which I needed my sons drivers license for and he's not here he's with the truck moving stuff.) I was afraid for them to run a fourth charge on my account who knew what amount that would be for. In the same sentence she told me but I don't know how many days it's gonna take for those charges to credit at your bank, it depends on your bank so of course I didn't want to put a fourth charge on there too. I understand everybody makes mistakes everybody's human But that's what managers and supervisors are for to fix the mistakes that their employees have made. apparently the employee needs some classes or something so he knows how to properly look up the information showing that people already paid so he doesn't recharge them multiple times. Or the manager needs to stay and supe

I rented a truck from U Haul at this location 3 weeks in advance requesting a 10 foot truck, with a regular dolly and a 4 wheel furniture mover as my friend and I were helping move a friend. I registered online and it was an easy process but the problems come when I go to pick up the equipment. There was NO furniture dolly, but there was one available for purchase so I asked if I could get a utility dolly (the one that can be laid down with the four wheels) one also was not available for use, but guess what I could purchase one. This is a moving company, an established moving company... every single truck should have all available equipment for each truck in their inventory. Sounds like a up-sell scam to me. People don't move everyday and don't just have moving equipment on hand and to suggest you buy these items is ridiculous! Then as you are checking out the prompt says ask about free boxes, so I ask and she says there are no boxes due to Covid, what do free boxes have to do with Covid? I will NOT be using U haul again, beware of their up sell scams for moving equipment that should be available for RENT not sale.

I would not recommend this company as after 6 months of storage they increased the rent by 30% I have 2 units one climate controlled They also do nothing about the rodents that damage your items stored The rental rate was fair when I started my rental Now I need to move So save money and stay away from this company it's standard practice to get you moved in and bump the price

I reserved a 10 ft Uhaul and auto transport at the 67th & Bell Uhaul location well in advance, to use for moving out of state. (I'll call them Uhaul Bell) At the last minute, Uhaul called to inform me that they didn't have a 10 ft truck available, but they would upgrade me to a 15 ft. at no additional cost. I told them I wasnt interested in a 15 ft. due to the cost of gas mileage. I was then sent to Uhaul Arrowhead which was further away to pick up a 10 ft truck. I was told I could go to the original reservation location (Uhaul Bell) for the auto transport, since I would not be renting it the same day as the Uhaul, as I had to pack it up first. Off I went to pack the 10 ft Uhaul to carry on with my move. A few days later, I went to get the auto transport hooked up at Uhaul Bell. As I was in my car being guided onto the ramp, it kept hitting something. I was told to reverse, move my wheels a different direction and hit the gas again. After approximtely 5-6 attempts, I was told my car would not clear the ramp to get on the flatbed transport. The bottom of my car was scraping and that's what I had been hitting during each attempt. My house had just sold and closed, I'm alone with 2 dogs and I can't get my car attached to this Uhaul. The manager told me I can have 1 month storage, rent free. However, I have no helpers to unpack the Uhaul & no where to go. Motels were $200 minimum per night because it was winter in Arizona and all the snowbirds were in town. I am then told the Uhaul has to be delivered back to the original location (Uhaul Arrowhead) it was picked up at and I had no one to follow me there! I quickly hired P.I.T Crew Moving, who work local in the greater Phoenix and Surrounding areas. They called me within 5 minutes of my online request for help and arrived to Uhaul Bell within 45 minutes. It costed $120 to move everything from the Uhaul into storage but they gave A+ Service. They were so great that they followed me to Uhaul Arrowhead, so I could drop it off and make sure I had my car. I gave them a $50 tip for there hard work and for going the extra mile to help me get this moving truck back. Here's where my bad day, goes straight downhill. The manager at Uhaul Arrowhead location charged me $747.60 to have this Uhaul for 3 days. She said my contract was for out of state, but I stayed in town and she still had to charge me "out of town rates." I told her it wasn't my fault that my car wouldn't fit on the transport because it was to low. I told her reservations should have known that prior to allowing me to book this since they asked me the year, make and model of my vehicle. She replied by saying that Uhaul Bell, has all flat surface on there property, so they struggle with this. However, if I had rented an auto transport from her location at Uhaul Arrowhead, they would have put my car on the hill in there driveway and my car would have gone on the auto transport without a problem. While crying, I asked her "how would I know this information?" She couldn't answer my question. I was so baffled, I didn't even know what to do, or say at that point. All of my things had been packed into a Uhaul, unpacked and put into Uhaul storage at Bell. I was exhausted and should have been several hours on the road by now. Instead, I was panicking, wondering who could I call, where I could stay with my 2 dogs? The manager said she needed to know if I was ok with her charging my credit card. I told her no, not for $747.60. She told me what the next step was if I don't authorize it. Uhaul Bell had my things in storage, so I had to allow her to charge it. This was a complete injustice to me through no fault of my own. I should have been charged in town daily rate of 19.99 per day, plus the gas mileage I used and that's all. My move and plans were destroyed that day. My belongings are STILL in storage and Uhaul has no idea what that day did. Please folks, Always ask WHAT IF questions when dealing with UHAUL and get it in writing. I will never, ev

Great place with helpful staff. Erica (mgr) was helpful and always there to assist staff to ensure we, as the customer, were well served. She gave us a hint and showed us how to use a particular lock on the back of the truck since it was tricky to get it to work. Check in and Check out was easy and very clear. Details were given so we knew what to expect. Cost ended up being less expensive than we planned! The young man that brought up the truck explained everything well and gave us very good suggestions about using the truck. Only feedback I would offer is that the person checking us in did not really have much knowledge about how the liability insurance worked. The staff should emphasize that your regular car insurance will NOT cover any damage to the truck or to others' property if there is an accident. I knew this from having been an auto claims adjuster in the past. Otherwise, very patient and professional staff and clean office and truck. We will recommend this location to others and use them again in the future.

Call the store to participate in their buy back moving boxes deal they have. I called on the way to see what I needed and asked specifically do I need a receipt and the answer was no I do not. Only to find out coming into the store that I did. Completely inconsistent information and I wouldn't recommend this location.

What a crappy experience this time around. Can't say if it's this location's owner/managers or a corporate issue. First off, on confirmation THE DAY before pick up, told to go down by airport to pick up truck. When we booked, requested 2 locations on West Bell as in Glendale or Peoria. Yes, pick up request may not work but UHaul states they will try to get it as close as possible. REALLY?!?!! We contact, get assurance, even a phone confirmation for Peoria pick up. So guess what? We get there (drove 4 hours to Phoenix to get our stuff out of storage) only there is NO record of our reservation at that location. UGH!! But, wait, they do have a truck available. Really?!?!! After 500 mile trip, that truck beat the hell out of me. Turns out to look good but that truck has been treated horribly. AND obviously never checked or serviced or it wouldn't be on the road!! Loose ball joints, no shocks in the front end, and steering so bad, hard to keep on the road. Accident waiting to happen people!! And shame on UHaul managers not caring about our safety. I'm going to post the plate and serial number, plus contact corporate, just in case there ever is an accident. UHaul can't blame the driver.

Needed a moving van at last minute and went to this location on a Saturday thinking it was a weekend so I'd be out of luck. But this location had what I needed, explained what I would be charged for, the time and mileage I needed it for. Anthony was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured I had the right size truck for my needs. He even went out with me to take a look. I returned the van a few hours later and it was a very quick and easy turn in...done within 5 minutes, which I was happy about since I was tired from moving items.
