My appointment was scheduled in advance for an MRI. The appointment was scheduled for 1:20 PM and they were so overbooked that I never got in For my appointment as I waited Two hours and had to leave for another appointment. I rescheduled for the next morning and waited another hour before I got my MRI. I was told that this happens all the time at this location due to the management not allowing enough time for the MRI To be done. I really hope that this is seen by someone above the management at that location And this is rectified! As for the front and staff and the tech that did my MRI, they were very friendly, understanding, and professional. They stayed calm throughout the debacle in their office, but It was obvious that they were frustrated too!

My grandmother was seen this morning and what a fantastic experience given the circumstances. Our MRI technician was patient and caring and calmed my grandmother down enough to finally get the test we’ve been trying to get numerous times! Shout out to all the staff here!!! Thanks for making what can be an extremely scary situation just a little easier by being so amazing!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - On January 18, 2024 I had a 4:00 p.m. appointment. The MRI tech was running over an hour late. I was finally called back at 5:10. I felt extremely rushed when I finally got called back to the room. My doctor's orders included an MRI scan with and without contrast. The tech asked me if I wanted it with contrast and I responded that I did as it was my doctor's orders for a complete diagnosis. Why was that even a question? She clearly had the orders with instructions. She stated she would be doing the contrast the last 5 minutes of the process as it was an injection into my arm. As part of the head MRI process, I was given ear plugs and headphones to drown out the noise of the imaging machine. My head was in a cage as part of the imaging so I was immobile. The process took about 40 minutes. She then returned me out of the machine to insert a needle into my arm for the contrast. She was talking to me and I could not see her, nor hear her due to the head cage, ear plugs and headphones- there was NO CLEAR COMMUNICATION with her. She hurriedly and at an unnatural position of my arm, inserted a needle into my arm which painstakingly hurt and it just did not feel right/normal. I asked if it was a successful insertion. She started talking to me -I COULD NOT SEE HER NOR HEAR WHAT SHE WAS SAYING!!! Apparently she inserted it successfully and then she pulled it out when I asked if she was successful for unknown reasons. I did not ask her to pull it out, she did that on her own. At that point, she took the cage off my head and I removed the headphones and ear plugs and was finally able to communicate with her. After that fiasco, I did not want to not continue with the contrast as it had turned into a stressful situation and I did not want her inserting another needle in my arm after that drama.I was extremely upset at the unprofessional way my appointment was handled by the tech and at the lack of communication. This facility is in Sun City where there are a lot of geriatric patients who would not be able to hear, the same way that I did not, I'm in my 50's. I expressed to her that there was clearly a lack of communication on her part and she needed effective communication especially when dealing with older patients. On top of it all, the head cage had not been sanitized after the patient before me. He came out and I was immediately called back in and it smelled horrible. I believe this to be true because she immediately called the next patient in as I was walking out. She clearly is not taking patient health precautions. To add insult to injury, I called to tell management about this experience. I reached a call center that sent my first call to a phone that rang forever without voice mail. Then to a number that rang then immediately busy tone and the 3rd call I held for 20 minutes while waiting to be transferred. Needless to say I never reached a live person which leads me to believe Simon Med does not care. Going forward, I will not be going to Simon Med for anything . I will research other imaging businesses. I would definitely not take elder patients there either!

The staff are all friendly and caring. There was no wait. The technician was very careful to make sure I was positioned comfortably and communicated with me frequently during the mri.

May I have copies of the imaging or directions on how to access?

If you need to have contrast done make sure they have the IV placed before you go in the tube otherwise if they fail they will charge you for the exam and you will have to repeat the test another day with contrast and pay again! They need ultrasounds or nurses that are skilled in placing IVs. The techs I’ve had could never get one in.

Horrible experience. My doctor had to get involved to process my appointment. I made the appointment a couple of weeks ahead of time, showed up early then waited 30 minutes to have them call me up to tell me they didn’t have a copy of my orders. My doctor called them directly and faxed the orders to them, waiting on the line with them to confirm delivery. They didn’t receive. I finally had to run home and print out the orders. Their employees didn’t care about my situation at all I’ll never use them again and will drive further if I have to
