The bank tellers should follow policy and not try to implement their own preferences on others. I make a withdrawal every month for over $2000 at the drive thru window and yesterday the lady told me I couldn’t make this withdrawal unless I came inside. She stated she can only give me $1000 through the drive thru window. I agreed on the $1000. She then asked how I wanted my money so I told her the denominations I wanted. She proceeds to tell me that I had to come inside to get those specific denominations. Why would you ask me? But again, I make this specific transaction monthly sometimes 2x a month. I told her to just give me any denominations she can but I don’t want anything bigger than a $20. At the end of my transaction she told me that this was my “one time courtesy.” When I asked her when did the policy update she told me this wasn’t policy that SHE wanted to count my money to me. If I wanted you to count my money in my face I would go inside. If you can’t count $1000 confidently before sending it through the window, that is not my problem. A 10 minute transaction AT MOST took 25-30mins because she wanted to argue with me about how much and what denominations of my money I could withdraw. And on top of that she gave me $500 in 50s and 100s after I asked for nothing bigger than 20s. When I sent the money back she stated “you didn’t tell me how you wanted it” yes I did and you told me that I couldn’t have it that way so I told you to give me what I could have as long as it was NOT bigger than a 20. The lies, gaslighting, and threat of a “one time courtesy” was too much for me. I was not asking for a fee reversal, I was asking for my money. This was not a courtesy at the least.

They only have a couple of branches, they change hours unexpectedly which is an inconvenience especially of you have to drive from the othee side of town. The asian tellee is rude as ever and makea you not want to fo into this branch. The system maintenance ALWAYS happens at the most inconvenient times when you need to unlock your card and can't access your funds.

Tonight I was heading out of town and forgot to swing by my CU. I passed Alaska Fed CU and thought perfect, I'll stop there. I've been a hardcore CU person since '82. I'm a member of three different CUs and they have been equally wonderful!!! Haven't banked at a regular bank since for any reason.Well... Now I know will never set up an account with this one, NOR use their ATM again. I cannot believe they charge a transaction fee. How many years have CUs had interbanking? Eons!! I never thought to check and that is my fault but I was in a hurry. Alaska Fed, shame on you for not playing nice with others.

The staff are very friendly but not very knowledgeable. It takes forever for the transaction or a check to show on your account. Multiple times I asked them to send me documentation and they never did. Very unreliable

Since moving into my home, I receive a fair share of promotions in the mail from exterminators to water treatment services. Rarely do they appeal to me.

Since moving into my home, I receive a fair share of promotions in the mail from exterminators to water treatment services. Rarely do they appeal to me. However, the mailer I received from TCF caught my eye. They offered to give me $200 for simply opening a checking account funded with $25 and then completing a direct deposit of $500 or more within the next 60 days. Its like taking Benjamins from a baby!

The customer service it atrocious. Was a member for 5 years. In that time I was given fake cash after a deposit, had a member of the bank do fraudulent activity on my account, and they put unnecessary holds on my account. Bank here and get ready to hear one thing when you open the account and excuses once your account is active.
