After experiencing an error code on our 2016 Ford Escape, we took our car to a nearby AAMCO for a diagnostic. After keeping the car for a few hours, we were notified that "your transmission is shot." We were then quoted over $7800 for the repair. Not comfortable with the diagnostic, we went to a second mechanic for another opinion. Needless to say, it was not in fact the transmission itself, it was simply a valve connected to the transmission that had a leak in it. We would've paid over $7k for a new transmission when the car didn't in fact need one.$900 paid to the second mechanic, car drives great, and no issues since. What a disappointing experience with a trusted, and very well known establishment. Just goes to show that not all mechanics are honest. Paid over $389 for an inaccurate, misleading, and blatant misrepresentation of services-we were deliberately misled and lied to.We will be filing a claim with the BBB, this is not ok and we can only imagine how many people have been ripped off in this same manner.

Very honest, knowledgeable and professional. I initially thought that I would need transmission work done, however the mechanic ruled that it was something else so I appreciated their honesty regarding the situation and letting me know about the actual work that needed to be done. It turned out better than I thought.

We've had several of our vehicles serviced here in the past year and every time they've done an outstanding job. Services were transmission fluid and filter replacement and ac blower motor.

The guys who work there are great. Friendly and professional. Prices are fair and they don't try to upsell you. They are good about honoring their warranties. Would recommend them to a friend.

My 2005 Prius' gears were going out so I brought it to AAMCO and one of the workers Bubba John was really amazing. He didn't work on the car but he was in the office. He was really good with the customer service I think bringing my car here was a great choice. I recommend 10 out of 10.

Went in for diagnostics and was told it was a 380+ charge I agreed and later was told the repairs would cost $8000 so I declined as it was to much later I went in to pay and receive a diagnostics sheet on what the repairs were need and the cost and I got nothing! But two basic codes I read off my own obd they're special diagnostics was a way for them to steal 380 from me and attempt to overcharge me for labor and services they couldn't specify horrible place don't go here ! They will rip you off!!

Brought my truck ere nov of 2021 for a full rebuild on my 01 ram manual transmission. They charged me 3900 dollars for the job. I had to bring the truck back 2 more times in the first hundred miles for multiple "defective parts" installed. They had my truck for more than a month total and in the end their work lasted 16 months and 5000 miles before it failed again. Despite being only 5k miles into a 12k mile warranty, they declined to repair under warranty due to time elapsed. I brought my truck to another shop where I was informed that the transmission had not been rebuilt. In fact 3rd and 5th gear needed to be replaced completely, the input shaft was wobbly, and all bearing and synchros were bad. At this point the evidence shows that Aamco didn't actually rebuild my transmission but charged me a ridiculously high amount and left me do deal with the aftermath. NEVER USE AAMCO. If they'll knowingly do this to a single parent, imaging what they'll do to you

Brought my car here back in 12/2018. Car has 120k on it and the transmission was slipping. Needed a reliable car for work and to transport the kids so I brought it here. Spent $4500 on their "certified" rebuilt transmission. Now it's 01/2023 I've put just under 30k miles on this vehicle and the torque converter has gone out. It's only an 05 taurus, it's not like I was taking it to the race track on the weekends. So now I have a car stuck in my driveway with just under 150k miles that doesn't want to move. Warranty is expired so I know they wont do anything about it. Will not ever come back to this place. I have also informed everyone I know not to waste their money here via social media and in person.Service: Transmission

Brought in my sons 94 jeep Cherokee found out it was a siezed drive line. The y cherged 1200 dollars to replace the u joints and a sensor in thr trans that only allows the vehicle to start in drive and park. Still starts in gear. Was charged for the service and never recieved it. Another shop would have done the driveline for 300. The sensor is external would have just charged for the part. Other aamco locations are HONEST just not this one.

The big problem is corporate. They allow franchises to rip off the customer and provide zero solutions. These franchisees need to self police or the brand will be gone, because corporate is a joke. I would avoid them at all costs.Service: Transmission
