Acoma Park is a clean neighborhood park with a large grassy expanse and plenty of shade from trees and gazebos. It is a fantastic and safe place for families, offering a well-maintained playground great for children under 10. The playground features sand, swings, baby swings, basic climbing equipment, and two covered climbing gyms with a soft foam and sand ground. It is a very nice park with more families than other nearby parks and no homeless hanging out. The park is dog-friendly, with many people bringing their pets. It has picnic areas, though there are only three picnic tables and a need for more benches. A significant drawback is that there are no restrooms and the water fountains do not work. Other noted issues include some graffiti on the play structure and cigarette butts in the sand. Despite this, it is a highly recommended and worthwhile spot for a picnic or a day of outdoor fun.
