My daughter did a week-long tryout for this gym's team. We decided to go elsewhere when we learned the owner/head coach, Dan Witenstein, was under investigation for sexual contact with a minor. We knew we made the right choice when USAG later made him "permanently ineligible" in the sport of gymnastics, aka "banned." He and his wife still own the gym. I cannot imagine knowingly patronizing this gym because when you do, your money is going to a pedophile.

We are so excited the Carefree location is open. My daughter is loving coming to class each week. It is clean and cool. I can easily watch her and there is an area for my other kids to play games or do homework as well.

I didn't know what to expect when signing my 3.5 year old for the Little Ninja class but we've been coming here since their grand opening and everything about this place has exceeded our expectations. The space is huge, super clean has lots of awesome equipment that they rotate around. Staff is very friendly and professional too. We look forward to coming every week :)

Today was our first day - but so far we have had a 5 star experience. The facility is beautiful and clean. My daughter had a small meltdown at first and the staff was AMAZING. So kind and obviously so good with kids. After a few minutes she came around and had a blast. The teachers all seem very kind and genuinely loving. WAY better than the other gymnastics gym we tried. They kept the preschool class moving so they never got bored and the teacher demonstrated everything for them which I think is so important!

Great if you don't care about your child's mental health. The coaches love talking to your kids behind your back telling them about demoting them for their spins not being tight enough. The coaches kid gets the best costumes, the best routines, and the most routines. "Champions" aren't made by only featuring two students. Be ashamed. Our family practically paid for that brand new auditorium and they have the gall to tell several of our children that they aren't good enough to be stars. If you like performing routines the Sunrays stole from the Cali Flyers this is the place for you.

I used to truly enjoy Sunrays’ gymnastics classes they provided. But there is poor communication amongst their staff. A situation occurred caused by both the distribution of false information and poor communication on their end. I asked to chat with a manager/owner to make them aware of the situation, in hopes of preventing it from happening again to someone else, but they NEVER reached out like they said they would. …Haven't been back to Sunrays since. If it weren't for that, I have re-enrolled for multiple classes at Sunrays. But because they failed to reach out to communicate with me, (yet again) I enrolled in gymnastics elsewhere, with longer classes to master skills. And since AZ Sunrays increased their tuition prices & added more fees, I've had access to more training for less elsewhere, since leaving Sunrays. It's sad leaving Sunrays because of the relationships built here, but it's not worth getting messed over due to mistakes on their end & them still not showing any accountability or improvement after the fact to resolve the issue or simply prevent future occurrences for that matter. As an educator in the North Phoenix/PV area, I stopped recommending Arizona Sunrays to families with children who I know would enjoy or benefit from gymnastics because of Sunrays lack of accountability and poor communication.

We’ve been taking dance with Ms. Melissa for over a year. She’s a miracle worker with tiny children. Truly magical and boundless energy. My now 3.5 yr talks endlessly about Ms. Melissa and dance class.

Coming from another Ninja program at Xtreme, this gym blows the other one out of the water. The ninja program at Sunrays actually follows a curriculum where the kids get evaluated so they can move up into the next level, instead of just running around doing random parkour. My son was happy in the other gym but now we are both happy. He is excited to be actually working towards real goals to help him be a better athlete.

My daughter was in the Learning Center preschool for two and a half years. We absolutely loved our experience. The teachers are so great and she learned so much. It is an active preschool which is perfect for active little bodies. She got to participate in dance, ninja and gymnastics. They also learn ASL(sign language) and my daughter is so excited to continue her ASL training. She is sad to leave the Learning Center as she is moving on to Kindergarten but she will continue with her Dance and Gymnastics classes.I highly recommend this program for your little ones.

If you’re looking for a preschool for your child, look no further! Sending my son to the Learning Center has been an absolute dream come true. He gets the combination of an incredible education and physical activity: learning ABCs, sign language, Spanish (and so much more), plus gymnastics, dance, and ninja. He loves going to school every day! He really struggled at other schools, but he is so happy and fulfilled at the Learning Center! The teachers and director are fabulous people as well. Putting him in this school is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You won’t be disappointed!

I really dislike this place!!The kid-teacher ratio is too high. Kids learn Better with better hands on coaching .I’ve literally watched my daughter try a moved for 10 minutes with no help from the teacher. By the time the teacher realized they were moving areas. So my daughter got no help cause the teacher was too occupied helping other students. The way you schedule make-ups is inconvenient and dumb also.

I liked this facility until the ninja instructor would not take the time to teach my kid how to safely come down from a handstand. This created a safety hazard for my kid, who would fall onto his side or back. But still, the ninja instructor had to have his way and the gym supported him over my kid.But other parents will hopefully take this into consideration.

Incredible facility. Looks to be a few years old. The staff and coaches are great with the kids: friendly, comforting and great educators in the sport of Gymnastics, Dance and Tumble.

My dougther has been attending sunrays for 5 years now when she started she did not speak any english and even with a lenguage barrier the coaches were patience with her until she was able to understand the lenguage I will always be thankful for this. she loves her coaches they are always willing to help her in a great way and always with positive vibes. now she attends their academy as well meaning their school and she is in love with the place and with her teacher Robin. she is a great teacher always so patience with the kids I love the way she comunicates with the girls. the staff there are so welcoming so thoughtful and always helping us parents with anything we need I love to feel that my kid is in great hands. Thank you Sunrays staff for always looking out for our families.

Sunrays has been a great place for my kids. My older two do the camps and classes and my youngest is in the learning center. The teachers are great and I feel like there is a good structure for learning and improving different skill sets.
