I used Beltmann to move my 4 bedroom home from Phoenix to Portland. I had three other companies come give a quote on the move and Mark Rankin who came to do the assessment was the only honest quote I got. In fact, The weight ended up being a little under the estimate so I got $235 refund after the move was completed. Karen in the office did a great job communicating with me before, during, and after the move. We packed everything ourselves- got most packing materials for free on Nextdoor and offer up and packed well and nothing was broken at all. NOTHING broken or stolen- I was happy. The movers on both ends were solid- worked hard and took care not to dirty or damage floors. The driver Tim was the BEST. He was with Lile North American van Lines group not Beltmann- they all fall under North American Van Lines btw. Lile is out of the NW and he was from WA state and knew how to drive in rain- Ask for Tim as your driver if you can. Tim knew the Phoenix moving crew but not the Portland guys but he was a great foreman on both ends making sure the movers handled things well. The arrival time the day of the move was delayed by a day due to Hwy 93 shut down for an accident- things happen- not Tim’s fault but he communicated with me via text constantly so I knew about the delay and push back of a day. -advice- you have to be flexible when moving out of state and not freak out and build in a day on each end for delays- after the truck was loaded, tay had another family on our truck too going from Scottsdale to Portland. Tim hit a rain/snow storm in Northern California which slowed him down and another 1/2 day delay getting our studs to us. Again not Tims fault and he communicated constantly. But I but and AirTag in my stuff so I could track the truck myself ? Overall great experience with Beltmann with my major long distance move.

I would NOT recommend purchasing their coverage for damage that can happen to your goods during Transporation.I was told by their salesman, (who seemed honest and sincere) that their insurance coverage is excellent, if anything goes wrong - its fully covered depending on how much coverage you buy. Seemed simple enough to me.The salesman called it "Insurance" when he went over the contract with me in person, but the office calls it "in-house coverage"btw... the salesman would not return my call. I was told from his office I did not purchase insurance. (I just spent around $2,000.00 on "coverage" that does not fully cover my loss and damages).I was told by Beltmanns office staff that they would not fully cover my estimated damage about $45,000.00 to repair and replacement. The office offered about $700,00 and then lowered it to about $170.00.It's a loss-loss to deal with this company. Extremely Frustrating amount of time, and emails.I feel manipulated by the Salesman and Beltmann's office staff- I would call this out as the salesman baiting me in to buying a insurance coverage plan, then the office switching the terms. Playing off each other. The contract clearly states you are covered 100% - as noted by my homeowners Insurance company. Beltmann's office will switch wording around, and then apologize that you misunderstood their contract.I had to go through my homeowner's insurance. Which is the frustrating part. I purchased Beltmann's expensive coverage, so I wouldn't have to make a claim on my insurance. Now I have a claim on my insurance! To sum up the experience- I feel lied to in person, and I feel manipulated by the Beltmann staff.

We have been relocated 4 times prior to this move. Some good some bad but this move we actually paid for ourselves was the worst move ever. Our move into our first house using family members had less damage and problems. It started with being sold a bunch of lies with the service they would provide for a very high price. We picked them over a cheaper company because of these lies. Packing seemed to go ok until we unpacked on the other side. So many boxes were poorly packed without paper and everything was jammed in the box. A lot of damage could have been avoided if they would have known how to pack a box properly. The movers hired for the unpack were horrible. Not one of them spoke English and the driver did not speak Spanish so there was a language barrier, which caused the movers to be at our house for 13 hours unloading the truck. These movers caused damage to our goods and our house and they had to be directed with every box. It was a nightmare day, that shouldn’t have taken that long. The same size trailer was unloaded in 6 hours when we moved the last time. When making the claim, we didn’t make a claim for much of the damage because it wasn’t worth our time. The claim adjuster is awful and makes you feel like you are lying for every item you claimed. If you don’t have dated pictures you can kiss your claim goodbye. They email you and expect an immediate response and when you don’t respond quick enough for them they threaten to close your claim. I’m sorry I am a mom of four managing life with a broken leg, but they don’t care about that. No aspect of this move was great from start to finish. Once you sign the documents for your very expensive move, the decent customer service is over. DO NOT MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR ITEMS!!

most rudest, incompetent, unbuisinesslike company I have in my 30+ year worldwide experience ever dealt with. The assosiate assingned to me seriously wrote me that he does not care and I shall tell someone else that he appearently is unable to accompish one simple task:Date, load size, load dimensions and from where to where. In addition they censor their own homepage and show only positive comments. Away from the homepage the curtain lifts and a 5 star rating has really barely only 2 stars....You are welcome!

We have moved 10 times over the years and 4 of those 10 were coast to coast and included mover packing. My experience with this company was the worst of all those moves. This move involved moving from Phoenix to the Boston area. They picked up our furniture and held it for 12 days before hitting the road. They proceeded to then go to Northern California, California desert, back to Phoenix and then a Phoenix suburb, then north to Flagstaff, AZ. It was a good 15 days before it actually headed east, all the time my belongings were in the truck going nowhere. Of course they gave me several arrival dates none of which worked out. They were even off by one day from the actual arrival. Boxes they packed were mislabeled and most did not actually contain what the box label said But something else. They even towards the end of the move they gave me the truckers phone number so I could call him for an arrival time. The phone number they gave me contained 13 numbers when all other phone numbers include 10 numbers, so, I could not even call the driver because of this mistake. Bottom line, stay away from this company.

This company is the WORST. They over charge you. They stole my computer that had 10 years of information on it and the monitor! We had to have our furniture put in storage for a month and a half and hen we got our stuff from storage, the computer and monitor were gone! They knew it was going to storage...so they got it before they put it into storage. Don't know if it was the driver or their help. All I know is that they're thieves. How convenient for them because they knew it would go into storage. When I called, they said it was past the 30 days. How was I to know because it was in storage for at least 45 days. Like I said... they know this. The Phoenix North American is one of the worst companies I have ever used in my life. Crooks!!

This moving company was horrible. Peter Lewis was great; he did the walk through and write up. After that, Madeline Bishop was unprofessional and awful to work with!Starting with the company not locking the truck with all of our possessions in it. Madeline wanted us to leave it there in our neighborhood like that ( I said our HOA would not like that, she stated that’s why she doesn’t have an HOA), let alone this was everything we own. After getting upset with her, she got someone to come out and lock and move the truck.Next, she did not contact the receiving moving company to let them know our stuff was coming (she blamed it on North American; later I found out it was supposed to be her). So the incoming company received our stuff in the middle of the night; the trailer was just left there without even the paperwork (they luckily found it inside the trailer, not where it was supposed to be). She also did not let them know we had 2 stops. She finally contacted the other company after the fact, when our stuff was already there. We were paying out of pocket. So because of the incoming company not knowing we were coming we didn’t even get our stuff for two weeks later than we were told! This was a horrible and awful experience. Save yourself the headache. Do not use Beltmann Group.

I have never dealt with a more despicable company of pathological liars in my 44 years on this earth. With the way they have treated us I am shocked that anyone could be satisfied with their work. My family is moving from Arizona to Toronto, we booked our dates for September in July. It is a relatively large house (4300 sq ft) so they wanted to make the move over 2 days. I said it can be done on 1 long day but they insisted on scheduling it over 2. Things began fine enough, the driver Ryan, who was cordial and reasonably professional in demeanor but has a lazy/wandering eye and also never looks you straight in the eye, showed up at 8am as planned. His crew showed up around 9:15 but was slow to actually start, by 9:30 they finally started moving some things. They worked until 1pm, and then said they wanted to clear out the storage unit which is 2 miles away. I watched the driver pass the last storage unit, finally 30 minutes later they arrive there. Note that at this point the house is not even half done. They move most of the storage unit before telling me at 2 o'clock that they would like to just finish everything in the morning. Fine I say, you've got 4-5 hours left and there's plenty of time to finish before we have to fly out the day after that. They show up at 9am the next morning. This is supposed to be our last day. They work for 55 minutes, then the driver says he has another job and they have to leave! In the meantime they partially disassembled the beds but left them there, hardly took anything out in this time. The driver tells me my Canadian driver is here and so this new crew will finish up this afternoon. That suggests once our stuff is loaded at least it will start in transit soon. As everything from the night before had been moved into a warehouse. Every time our stuff is moved of course that multiplies the opportunity for loss and breakage. Minutes after the driver told me he was leaving, an associate of the man, Peter Lewis, who I had booked with calls and says "the driver says you weren't ready." I tried to correct her that that was completely false and I never said anything remotely like that, but she continued to rattle on louder and louder until I'm straight up yelling at her to correct the record but she's refusing to listen to a word I say. While this is happening, the driver, who I now know lied to her about what I said so he could get paid without working, is standing there listening to me blow a gasket at her knowing full well that his blatant lying is why this is happening! They leave, but I'm expecting a call shortly to let me know when the new crew will arrive. Remember we're leaving in the morning and that can't be delayed. Hours pass and I start calling all the numbers I have for Beltmann. No one answers or responds. It's now well into the afternoon. Finally Peter emails me back, doesn't call, and says "they said you weren't ready." I explain in no uncertain terms that that is a lie. He says he'll call around to figure out what happened and get something scheduled. He calls back an hour later and says the same driver will be back at 7am to finish. I said just have them here on time for the love of god. Now I'm quite weary of this driver Ryan as it's becoming clear he just screwed us and has no compunction about lying to your face and to his bosses. I start calling him at 6:45, no answer, mailbox full. We're now staying at a hotel because the beds were disassembled (but not moved!), the driver's not responding but I can't risk not being there when these scumbags show up (wishful thinking). I go to the storage unit, my wife waits at the house. No one shows. I call and email Peter and the woman Madeline who was yelling over me, no response. At 8:30, 1 hour before we're leaving for the airport, they finally call to tell me no one is coming. Now they've completely screwed us, despite having 2.5 days to get this done they put in 5.5 hours in total, and have now forced us to rec

I recently had a cross country move that went incredibly smooth due to my long distance drivers, Tim and Dee Dee. They were true professionals and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I would recommend Beltman and highly recommend requesting Tim and Dee Dee to ensure a flawless move!

The reason for my low review is because of the customer service I received as well as a the fact I was told one number in my home, then was sent a quote days later that was 40% higher. I made an appointment for someone to do an inventory assessment and was asked to change dates because the person coming out lived on the other side of town. After I changed my schedule to accommodate, I was told that my move would be about $11,000. After never receiving a quote, I contacted the assessor who then emailed me informing me that he put my move under a different persons name and quoted me numbers to move to Texas, even though we confirmed I was moving to Ohio upon his arrival. On top of all of this, instead of an apology, the assessor asked me to copy and paste his email because he “isn’t perfect”…First email: “I had this under a different name. I had to recreate this from the email that went “elsewhere”. That’s why you couldn’t find it. The numbers I quoted you at your house was to TX. This is an exact match of what I entered at your home”His response to my email back informing him of my frustration: “Please copy and paste my explanation in your review. I'm not perfect.”...Nobody's perfect, but the obvious lack of caring about my experience with no apology or remedy should be a warning to others.
