I bought a pair of shoes on a Saturday as I was moving and couldn’t find my other shoes. Found them of course when I returned home and took the shoes back and there was a 20% restocking fee ($34) on shoes unused and returned 2 days later that never left the box. The notice was on the receipt after I purchased and not disclosed before the sale. I said forget it and kept the shoes. You lost my business Bike Barn

Rude Workers all around. Called them they were rude. Want to their shop they were rude. They act like they are doing the customer a favor when we are paying their bills! Hope you guys out of business in this bicycle cycle crash.

I had a great experience Mary was super helpful in the fit and Information on the bike. I ended up buying a Specialized Roubaix Comp Di2. My first new bike in 20 years. I appreciate that she wasn't pushy I came back the next day to get the bike. Thank you so much! Tom Frontz

On Saturday, May 14th, I went to pick up a rental. I was initially assisted by an employee who then called over a colleague for help. Despite being informed twice that I was the one renting, the colleague reacted with a displeased expression and began questioning me about my vehicle, a Silverado parked outside. He mentioned that the bike's carbon body required a pad, which I confirmed I had. When he asked about ratchet straps, I didn't have any but offered to purchase them from the store.
Throughout our interaction, this employee continuously made faces, suggesting he didn't want to assist me. In contrast, another woman, who wasn't a person of color, was not questioned about her rental or destination, even though she admitted she didn’t know how to use it but would figure it out.
The employee assisting me asked for my ID and the card I used for the rental, taking an unusually long five minutes to return them. During the transaction for the straps, I handed him a $20 bill. He mumbled something under his breath, and when I asked him to repeat himself, he handed back the cash, stating very quietly that he was canceling the order. When I asked for clarification, he finally said, "I'm canceling the order," with evident attitude.
I remained by the register, hesitant to approach him further due to his apparent irritation. When I inquired about my refund, he dismissively threw his hand in the air and said he would handle it, but it is now Monday, May 20th, and I have not received any refund.
I will never visit this place again and have advised other people of color to avoid it due to the uncalled-for treatment I experienced from this employee.

Had a flat tire that they covered under a warranty. Friendly service, great selection of products. It’s been around since the 50s, I really like this place.

They refused me service and told me that they were uncomfortable renting me a bike. How sad that they take the money then refund later. Will never come back here.

Hands down fantastic customer service, period!! I had a wreck on my Trek Checkpoint. I was convinced I had destroyed the bike (catastrophizing). I gave Mary a call. She asked for pictures and then directed me to an individual in Phoenix that repairs carbon fiber. After a bit of diagnostic work it was determined that I had just scraped some paint away. The bike is fine. If it weren’t for Mary jumping into action I think I would have lost my mind. Great job Bike Barn!!!!

Best experience ever!! Never met a nicer mor helpful group of people . Took my specialized e-bike in for service and they were super helpful, fast and less pricey than other bike shops in scottsdale. Thanks again Barb and staff !!
