I have used them for the pass three yrs on various things. I had a ring resized then a custom ring made and a band added to it. Barbara helped me and is very knowledgeable about diamonds. She helped me create my forever ring and I’m grateful.

This place was terrible in replacing my batteries for my Michele watches. They showed no effort in trying to replace my battery. Took it to another watch shop and they did a great job all the watches needed were battery replacements. Maybe this place thought they were too good to repair my Michele watches. For them to straight out tell me my watches were not repairable is technically misleading the customer.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't be fooled by the razzle dazzle of Mr. Molina and his cheesy pin-striped suits, or the gaudy building that creates the illusion of a "fine jeweler." Molina Fine Jewelers/Black Starr & Frost is run by a den of thieves.I purchased my first engagement ring here for $28,000 and gave them my full trust to provide me with a quality diamond. After TWO WEEKS of my fiancé wearing the ring, we took it in to have it resized. The very careless team took the ring down to the basement, out of my sight and possession, where they do all the jewelry work, only to inform me that the diamond had a massive chip in it. I was told to lie to my fiancé about it so that she wouldn't be upset. LIE TO MY NEW FIANCE ABOUT THE $28,000 RING I JUST BAUGHT HER?! Maybe they are fine with lying at Molina/Black, Starr & Frost - I'm not.Devasted by the news, we were told that everything was our fault, after taking immaculate care of the diamond and again, only wearing the ring for TWO WEEKS! Mr. Molina refused to accept a return of the diamond, replace the diamond, or offer any sort of warranty whatsoever. The only "solution" he provided was to reduce the diamond by 20% - wonderful! Will you reduce the cost of the flawed diamond by 20% as well?Now we are in an insurance hell and my fiancé has been crying about it since we left. I can't imagine a fine jeweler where you buy a $28,000 diamond engagement ring, the diamond chips within two weeks and the customer is simply told to go pound sand. MR. Wow! What a great experience I had on my first visit to Black, Starr & Frost Jewelers. Their customer service is excellent from the moment I walked in the door I knew this was the place to buy jewelry. Mark Sharupa appraised a couple of diamonds for our family. He was knowledgable and very personable. The appraisals were done quickly and professionally. We have found our family's jewelry store!

This is a classy place with people who are grounded in excellent business practices. Mark Skarupa met with me and we designed the perfect ring for my wife. Mark worked tirelessly to show me designs that could be created for what I was looking for. It ended up being a piece that was a custom design. Not only was the ring magnificent and in time for the proposal, there was a slight flaw that was on the ring- discovered by them! They remade the entire ring because of this flaw-which was not easily found. Mark showed me the flaw and I still couldn't see it. This attention to detail is not easily found in the industry. On top of everything that they did, they allowed me to use their shop to propose to my wife. It was a dream proposal. The elegance and class of this place is second to none. When you add the ambiance with the character of these people, there is no better place to shop for jewelry.

We purchased a sapphire engagement ring from Mark Skarupa at Black, Starr & Frost and it was a great experience. Mark personally selected a sapphire gemstone and hand-crafted setting and put them together to create an engagement ring that my fiancee loves. It is just the kind of ring she always wanted. Mr. Skarupa, Mr. Molina and all their staff are consummate professionals and their customer service is unequaled. I cannot recommend Black, Starr & Frost highly enough.
