I love this library. Beautiful building with beautiful views off the 5th floor. Staff is very helpful and kind. The indoor fountain instantly shifts me into relaxation mode. It's my safe place and happy place. ? ?

I've had a long and adoring relationship with this library. Maybe, I'm bias due to my grade school experience of being a library assistant. I know the dewy decimal system intimately. The people at the BBCL are above and beyond helpful. The organization of books ,audio and visual is impeccably set to the different floors . Accessing the floors by elevator is very cool. The view from the fifth floor is amazing. I love the network of shared information that exist between the other libraries through out the valley, with your account number you may reserve anything, within reason, at the other libraries. Like I said , maybe I'm just bias but , it really is a great place .

What's not to love about this place?I mean it's a library for crying out loud.Staff is super helpful and friendly, and everything is very well organized, and they're really good with keeping it organized throughout the day.I even managed to get myself accidentally locked in there after-hours yesterday, wearing headphones, sitting in the furthest away corner on the 5th floor, and being too sucked into the book I was reading.By the time I looked up I didn't see a soul, after riding the elevator down, I ran into a couple of the police officers that are stationed there, and after telling them what happened and they got done laughing at me, they unlocked the door so I could leave.

I was disappointed. I expected it to be quiet and it wasn't. There were children on every I went talking out loud and laughing etc..like it was any other building. Some were even with employees. There seem to be more movies than books. It pretty but feels more like a Civic center than a library.

Shaded free parking very near down town and close to so many other venues. With this impressive 5 floor library that offers many more amenities than you normally expect. Come in and check out the true history of Arizona.

My best place to go. I walk there and enjoy the park in front of it after borrowing some books from it. All the staff is amazing and friendly. Calm and plenty of sources to enjoy. Hope many people knows about and visit more.I know recently so many homeless are over there and feels like unsafe sometimes but many securities are there to take care of them. So sad not many kids are coming anymore. But good to see when they enjoying the place and reading together and picking books. Even happy to see adults are enjoying reading. It just good vibe that this world needs.Their study room is amazing. You can book through the website or as talking to staff. I think it is 2 hours max per person per day.I frequently get some international, historical, or designer books.

I Love Burton Barr Library. It has been a favorite of mine for years, although I have not been there in a few years. I was able to request a new library card without incident. Everyone was polite, helpful and full of joy in meeting my needs and wants. As in in the past, my present experience with everyone and everything in regards to this branch of the Phoenix Library System was excellent and fulfilling, I am confident my future experiences will be the same. Thank you as I am grateful to you for maintaining a high level of customer service and I can expect all the time

I believe this library has 4 floors could be 5. They have staff there to help you if you need help using the computers. They also have business classes, finance class and social services. You can check the website for list of different resources that they offer for free.

This is a wonderful library and a strong flagship location for the Phoenix Public Library system. Just driving up, you are greeted with nice architecture and a large parking lot. The inside has even more interesting architecture - glass elevators!, a little lake inside! - and the staff are always kind and helpful. There is a great selection of everything you can think of here, from new releases to old favorites on DVD. You can even grab CDs for music, if you're still rocking the boom box. The holds process usually goes pretty quickly, and they transfer from other libraries in the system (the all do), so you can get your hands on items quicker. They're also connected to the e-book system, and with the app Libby you can get access to a ton of e-books and audiobooks without ever leaving your home. They have a really easy check out process that is fully automated. You just put the books down, scan your card, and the magic machine knows all of the books you are trying to check out. Their book return outside is also automated and fun for kids (and kids at heart like myself), much better than just a metal door to drop things in.There are lots of other places and things in this library that I haven't even explored. I am really glad it is now my closest/easiest to reach library because it's always nice to visit.

I love bringing the kids here! Their children's section is incredible! So many things to explore. It's all very tactile and engaging. They have a small but spacious patio perfect for the kids to run around and let out some energy. They have crayons and color sheets. You can brings snacks to eat in their kid cafe or outside on the patio. Tons and tons and tons of books- a very diverse selection. The whole place is very open and clean. The museum has these great big windows and glass elevators and hosts great artwork. And it's all free! We always plan to stay for at least a couple hours when we come.

Nice facilities. Good place to study or read books. Also many useful events on small business and public assistance. Also educational programs for children and adults. Only wish the hours were longer.

Coming here has always been a pleasant experience. I always find books to take with me. Borrowing books is simple, and returning them is even simpler. There was also a lot of library staff to remind the kids to be quiet inside the library. Honestly, the best place I could ever find to study, I've never been able to stay at a place and focus, but now I'm there almost 5-6 hours each day, studying constantly.
