Our modern (but retro-styled) dining chairs were covered with a nasty pleather material that looked worse every day—but we love the chairs and didn't want to replace them. I Googled "reupholstery + Central Phoenix" and Classic House popped up. After reading reviews and looking at the great examples of their work, we entrusted our chairs to Charlie and are so happy we did. The entire process was easy, the job was done quickly and very well, and we think the price was fair. We're thrilled with our "new" chairs and won't hesitate to use Classic House again.

Wonderful !!! Highly recommend !! I had not recovered furniture for many years, and I was not sure where to reach out. (My previous company closed at the onset of the pandemic and moved out of state.) My item was an ottoman ( inherited and with great sentimental value); and a newly purchased bolt of kilim fabric (ornate and complicated pattern to align); and brass tacks which all needed replacing. The online reviews let me know I was looking in the right spot. The outcome was perfect! The detailing, the cording, and repair of tacks at the ottman's base. ... All wonderful! !! I will be using them and again, and have referred them to (2) friends!

Really struggled if I wanted to reupholster a chair that I have had for years. After shopping around, I determined that the chair was way too good of a quality to give up. I have shot many times at classic house and absolutely loved the place and had spoken to Isaac a few years ago about doing the chair, so I finally decided to pull the trigger. Wow it was the best decision I could've done. The process was so easy. I sent a picture of the chair and I was promptly given a quote. Just keep in mind that the labor is one cost but you also have to take into account the cost of the fabric. They had a large variety of fabrics to choose from, and it can definitely be a bit overwhelming, but Charlie and Isaac were very accommodating and helping me pick something out. Once I picked my fabric, Isaac gave me the full cost, and I paid a down payment with the remainder to be paid upon pickup. So contrary, to what another poster stated, there was never any question about exactly how much the job would cost. My chair was done very quickly, and all I have to say is it came out beautifully. The quality of the work on the reupholstery was better than the work on the original chair. Charlie was able to refill some of the stuffing and add much better webbing on the bottom. I am so happy I pulled the trigger and got this done. If you're someone that wants comfortable, good quality furniture that you just can't seem to find nowadays because of the way they're manufactured I would not hesitate to either reupholster what you have or find an old chair. That's good quality and get it done because these guys are the best not to mention you can't ask for a nicer people.

Charlie and Isaac are great. I have a chair and ottoman that is over 50 years old and they did a fabulous job of reupholstering it. I definitely recommend them.

Terrible non-responsive. Had some work done and spent over a thousand but no follow-up when I emailed and called.

If you're in Phoenix and ever in need of upholstery work, I can't recommend Classic House enough. My husband and I met Charlie years ago when we wandered into his store by chance while antiquing in the Melrose District. After seeing his beautiful upholstery work, we promised ourselves that if we ever needed upholstery done, we would go to him.Years later, we finally had Charlie restore our family heirloom captains chair. The chair is hand carved and from the 1800s. It's been in our family for decades, so we wouldn't trust just anyone to work on it. Charlie was so excited about the project from the minute he saw the chair—he even researched where it could've possibly come from and who might have made it. He and Isaac helped us pick fabric and trim for it and made the whole process really fun.We are absolutely thrilled with the result and know Charlie's work will last for decades more. He stripped the chair down to its bones, completely rebuilt the inside, and upholstered it with new tweed. It feels like a completely new chair.I'm so happy we were finally able to give this chair the second life it deserves and to have someone who's incredibly passionate about what they do work on it. Charlie is truly an artist.

I can’t recommend Isaac and Charlie enough! I emailed photos of 6 dining chair seats to be reupholstered, received a quote back quickly, and once I dropped off the chairs, they were ready the following day. Charlie did beautiful work and made sure the pattern was exactly the same on each chair! Isaac and Charlie were also so nice to my kids during the drop off/pickup process and were kind enough to give them some toys from their shop. We will definitely return soon!!
