Hello, I would like to preface this, that I am a long time collector and have been a loyal customer from the old location, which I was about a 15-20 minutes away, now that the location has changed and I am a 5 min. walk from your store now. I was bit excited that you are now so close (that's the kid and avid collector speaking). Now on to the meat of complaint , I thought I would go in because I was back from some trade shows and had some time off. I do have to say that the store does look great and the layout is excellent. I decided to purchase a few things, now I do understand that 'boxed collectibles' would have no barter tactics, but the collectibles that are not and a few that were in their original box but the marketplace knew their was some damage which they disclosed and considered 'as is', I still purchased items. Now the reason for that was because I appreciated the honesty in good business practices. I purchased a couple of items and one that was not boxed. The item was only 29.99 but the chest piece did not stay on so it was probably in need of a repair, which I can do. I asked a young man that got it out of the case for me and acknowledged that it was in need of repair , I asked is there a way maybe a few bucks can come off because of that, and it was an adamant NO! I am not sure if he was a manager but did not even check to see if it was an option, I asked another gentleman but I think he may have been predisposed with another sale. I then went to the cashier (a young lady) and said the same thing about maybe a discount, again an adamant NO!, and no sign of actually checking with a manager, just taking my payment. The overall feeling I received was either you take it or not, even when I entered the store saying to the clerks that I am so excited that you guys are so close and I feel I was a great customer. It seems to me that no one that I encountered had any empowerment to make that decision. I know that my purchases however many that I have made in the past, will now come to a halt, also with my recommendations to other collectors as word of mouth seems to go far. I am not vying for any type of compensation and I am well aware that any business should not 'give away the store' but retain loyal customers.. It is just this experience really left me with a bad taste. I do appreciate your time in reading this and I do hope for maybe some feedback or response if you feel its necessary to validate why I was treated in this fashion. Respectfully, Johnny V

their website needs to be updated. I just drove all the way from Tempe to sell several different collectibles since their site advertises they buy daily, and they will buy everything no matter the condition. I've never sold here before so when I came in I asked about the process, and was told I couldn't sell this day specifically because there's different specialists for each collectible? I had Disney pins, funko pops, and Squishmallows. Seems wildly inconvenient as a seller to have to come back on multiple days, and I wasn't even given a straight answer on a day to come back, just told "later in the week." Super disappointed and I guess I'll try selling at Zia instead.

This place is awesome as a Funko collector. The staff is young and friendly and smart about their job. The owner did a very good job picking out this staff. They do having signing I just wish they would promote them a little bit better that would be my only complaint but nonetheless I would recommend this place over any toy temple.

Amazing shop. They have everything I need in life; godzilla and the monster verse, Pokémon, jojo's bizarre adventure, you name it they have it. I can't wait to check out their new location.

Fantastic anime, dolls, and game collectibles at the Collectors Marketplace. Hundreds of Pop characters, so I picked up a few while I visited the store and took advantage of the great Black Friday sale (30% off everything in the store). They will complete their move up the street to new location in February! They are a generous sponsor of the Arizona Matsuri in February!

Bought an expensive figure that was advertised, in its box, as new only to bring it home and open it up to find it broken and covered in dust. Turns out it was a display that was not marked as a display and was priced as an unboxed, new figure. It was also missing pieces and after trying to repair the broken parts, it just fell apart. I will never return to this store and highly recommend you don't waste a penny here.

Fantastic place to search for a long lost beloved toy or for gifts for the sci-fi, anime, pop culture person in your family or friends group. Or to just treat the inner n*** in you!! I've bought many gifts here over the years

Old building but packing a lot of punch. There is so much to see and look at in here. We didn't buy anything, as we didn't see anything we needed, but I definitely know collectors make stops and find pieces to their collections. Large expanse of items. From dolls, Legos, old games, anime dolls. It was a lot of fun to be brought back into nostalgic memories. I cannot comment on buying experience but heard you can't haggle price and from what I saw things were pricey. Come prepped with the knowledge on the item you are interested on. Building is falling a part and slight smell from old AC units but I felt like it all added to the charm of the floor to ceiling collection items.

I have been going to this place for my nerdy needs since way back when they had separate vendors around 10 years ago, I think... at least 7 years ago. They have the BEST collection of items for various hobbies at reasonable prices, from comics to action figure models to gaming that you will find ANYWHERE in AZ. BUY FROM THEM NOW, and I know you will NOT regret it. The AMAZING staff make it even more memorable!

First things first when I walked in I expected an amazing store from the reviews. However that was not the case I walked In and it smelled like urine that's one and I was greeted by an employee with attitude "what do you want" I was there to sell some stuff and get other stuff but my mind changed quick after that. The guy looked through my stuff and told me he couldn't offer me anything really for them. Now did he even look at what I had? NO! He did a quick glance of my comics not even really looking at the numbers or dates or quality of books. He just looked at them like a kid would just looking at pictures. I understand that's your job but there is no way you know what all comics are worth without looking them up. Sorry

Called in to inquire about selling Funko pop to the store. Said come on in we buy them. No questions about what type or anything just come in. Get there and immediately told no we’re not interested in the the nft ones. Like why not say this on the phone before I drive 20 miles each way. Won’t do business here ever again

I give this place a 3 out of 5 because they have an excellent variety of toys and collectibles but there's no haggle on the price and a lot of times they are over priced so be sure to do your research before you buy. It IS however a very cool place to look around if you're into toys and if you're looking for something specific, good chance they could have it because it's HUGE compared to other toy shops in the area. I still prefer Polar Bear Pop Culture Shop because the prices are outstanding and the customer service is over the top, but I do enjoy coming here too. I've gotten some really good things here, things I couldn't have found anywhere else, for that I am grateful this place exists. Another cool toy shop to check out besides this place and Polar Bear would Toy Anxiety and Sour Apple Gallery. These are my top four for sure.

Easy to find in central Phoenix. Lots of inventory to browse. Vintage items and a large Funko section. Something for everyone. Staff was helpful.
