This store offers good prices but some staff (Alicia) make the experience unbearable. She possesses terrible customer service skills and lacks basic people skills. You are hurried in line and the next customer is called before you can put your change away and get your bags. If you're so miserable at your job, please leave. You are making a good company look bad by you being a representation of the first impression of said company, unacceptable.

Zero stars if only! This particular day, I had a huge purchase, and not just for me but a bonus gift card.
Out of consideration for other customers (I sincerely meant it as someone who cares as I knew it would take a while) as the line was getting lengthy and only one cash register was open I asked if it was possible to open another line because I had so much stuff and at least 25 pieces of jewelry that needed to obviously bagged and kept separate to avert tangling together.
You would have thought that I asked the Manager to part the Red Sea as she was rude, no eye contact, over talked me when I was trying to explain to her about how much I had which was obvious and my basket filled to capacity) and deterred repeated business forever from every going to this DDs again! She is a horrible representation of a Manager when she should have been setting a standard and especially for new employees.
The security guard explained that they were understaffed and hearing this is there even a question as to why? Look at how the Manager acts!
Let me make this clear: This experience was not about a sense of entitlement but consideration for other customers! Wtheck! I didn't want them to have to wait too long with all the stuff I had which would have been even worse.
Then to add insult to injury the young lady who came to open another register was even more rude! She wouldn't respond and acted like I was speaking Greek when I was trying to inform her that I wanted to bag (also that I could assist her out of consideration of time and other customers) some of the necklaces and earrings separately. Its a no-brainer right? Only if you have one and we ain't talking Wizard of Oz here folks!
I was livid, shucked me and my business to (explicative) and went immediately to the very nice young man who was trying his best to save face, be cordial and greet other customers coming in at the same time. The excuse he gave me was the young lady who opened the register had a language barrier, and that is a customer's problem how?
Both of them should be fired immediately and truly it will be no lost as DDs is always hiring and replace them with staff who at the very least AT LIKE THEY CARE AND WANT TO BE THERE TO HELP THE CUSTOMERS!
Its bad enough when they won't let you take a basket out of the store when you have lots of bags and huge purchases, but this exacerbated it for me. I have watched lots of people, and some I know near falling (some with handicaps) trying to take the purchases to their vehicles.
The best DDs can do is have you pull your car up to the door. Then you still have to ask for help, and that is if its available. I cannot tell you how many times as someone who cares about others that I have helped others carry their stuff and some times I needed it too.
If it weren't for the great bargains I would shop elsewhere and often do online. DD's should care more about the safety, welfare and satisfaction of their customers instead of a shopping basket as its a smaller price to pay instead of someone possibly getting injured and we aren't talking feelings. It's a sad and dismal time for DDs unless you're the incredible Hulk.

Checking out was so extremely slow . It's no wonder with 2 or 3 inch fingernails she took so long removing each security sensor because of her nails it was ridiculous. Plus I was the only one to say hello and thankyou with nothing from her ! I do love the prices at this store tho especially for men's socks and underwear !!

Welcome to DD’s….NOT.
Overall, the store is well stocked and clean. I’ve noticed a common pattern that is troubling.
Upon checking out and paying for my goods,
I was frustrated that before I could get my card back in my wallet- and get my items, the sales clerk was telling the next person in line to come to the register…. Not a “thank you” or eye contact what so ever. I felt “dismissed” not valued as a customer! PLEASE at least let me finish my transaction and allow me my space!!! The customer behind me said she didn’t want to come up to the register so fast …..I asked the clerk why this happens every time I visit the store, and was told that it’s mandatory by corporate. REALLY?????? WHY?? Will waiting 5 more seconds to finish my moment at the register REALLY make a difference? Well- it did today, for me- never shopping here again. I’ll brave Ross, Marshals, even Walmart.
