If DSFCU doesn't start stepping it up, I will be moving my accounts out. Tellers promise quick resolution but their background operations take far longer than promised. The availability of branches is spotty at best. My fiancé has had fraud committed on her DSFCU card twice now and DSFCU backs the fraud each time. My card experienced fraud (the most recent dealings) right before vacation. We stopped into the DSFCU on the way (I17 and Ocotillo; Phoenix, AZ). Their card maker was down so a replacement couldn't be provided that day. I figured no big deal I'm going on vacation I'll take out some cash (a bit inconvenient but better than nothing), the teller said it would be in the mail in 4-5 days, no card upon return 5 days later. Between all of the problems my fiancé has had with DSFCU and the small, but many inconveniences I have experienced, we are both actively shopping for a better bank to do business with.

They charge a $7 fee to cash a check drawn from their bank!!! Not a very good thing for your customers to give a check to someone, especially payroll checks and then that person be charged to get their own money. I was offered to open an account but not if that's how they do business.

Desert financial credit union does not have 24 hour customer service. And no customer service on Sundays. This is a bad way to do business especially when it comes to managing my money. Why does desert financial credit union do this. It has to be because they simply are lazy and do not care about their customers.. other banks offer 24 hour customer service. I'm seriously thinking about closing my two accounts at desert financial credit union because of this problem. Your not that special to have especially when you don't offer good customers service

Polite and courteous customer service. Not many locations, and their ATMs are a hit and a miss for functionality. Sometimes they'll be down, others will allow for withdrawal but no deposits, deposits but no withdrawal, numberpad not working, etc. I wasn't able to make a deposit on this day. Now I have to go out of my way to another DF ATM. Was half expecting this though and planned for it as part of my day. That is what prompted this review. Let's see if it makes a difference.

I changed my banking to Desert Financial because two of my professional associations and my previous employer all recently became affiliated this credit union (CU). I was completely pleased with the benefits of joining this CU and the service provided.

Terrible customer service..Tales forever to speak to someone. You can't call a local branch. I opened a CD with them and after a month of it being opened, they called and told me it was never funded. Again, you will be on hold FOREVER listening to terrible elevator music before speaking to someone!

Like the bank. Enjoy the benefits. I always go for credit unions. But they need to add more locations. There's just not enough in general. But this locations ATM is literally the worst. They recently updated it.. Worked better... but then worked worse. You can't deposit 85% of the time. It will sometimes eat your card. But it's literally useless. You might get lucky and catch it on a good day. But being a bartender and needing to deposit legit income. Especially on weekends or off hours and it'll be 3 days before I can deposit and I will have to drive 15min away to a different one. For this location, you'd expect better. Or some type of effort from employees to acknowledge the issue... also.. wouldn't it make their jobs easier?

Worse location ever!!! ATM never works! There’s barely any locations around and the ones they have never work! Idk what is happening to this bank its very unreliable

This is the absolute worst bank in the nation. Desert Financial is a strong representation of Arizona wherein the business model seems to be incompetence over service. Stuff is always 'broken'. Bankers are always on vacation. Possibly the only bank in the nation that cant seem to get approved for Zelle. WOnDeR wHy

I couldn't thank Jodi Darrow enough for her capable, knowledgeable, effective and professional service. She is amazing. 5 stars for her!!! I was having a very difficult time to understand the statements and the transaction details. She was so helpful, kind, and patient as well as explained every part of my issues. All of my questions, concerns and requests were answered and resolved in great detail. I feel so lucky to get her help, such an awesome service that in fact above and beyond my expectations. I’ve been a customer of Desert credit union for over 37 years. They are just great. Recently, a employee had to help me through a difficult transition when our computer was hacked. Maria was wonderful to work with. She is friendly, knowledgeable, very responsive to my multiple needs. I hope DFCU keeps her on and that they get more like Maria.
